  1. I see, thank you. That seems to be related to the Bosman ruling then I suppose
  2. Hi all. I think I found an absolute gem regen player in my save. He's 19 year old and still plays for a second tier Egyptian team. I have not fully scouted him yet but he seems very good Now, he seems to be on a 'Full Time Month to Month' contract. I could offer him a contract directly but found it cheaper to just pay 40k to his club (compared to compensation). But on his profile it shows that Napoli is also interested in him. Under 'Offer date' it says 'Tribunal' for them. Does anyone know what this means?
  3. Feyenoord youth player Tim Haksteeg is a right wingback in FM23 (and even a fairly talented one), while in actuality he is a goalkeeper. For a source, see the official Feyenoord website here: https://www.feyenoord.nl/nieuws/nieuwsoverzicht/eerste-contract-voor-academy-keeper-tim-haksteeg-090522
  4. I'm not sure whether he has a random PA, but I just picked him up for 69m euros in my Feyenoord save in 2025. He looks absolutely amazing and easily one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Below also a comparison between him and Donnarumma. I think he's at least as good, if not better.
  5. FM23 is currently #17 in terms of current players. See https://steamcharts.com/top Now compare it to these games with zero players in terms of graphics.
  6. Tottenham just came in with a 33 million euro bid for him, which I had to accept. Great return though, having purchased him for 3.5 million 1.5 seasons prior
  7. He also has the German nationality. He's also picked up a couple of caps in my save. He's been amazing for me once again this season. I think the combination of his jumping reach and pace make him incredibly good, and he doesn't have any other big gaps. No heaps of potential, that's the only shame
  8. I do use it every time my loan players and signings return, etc. But during the season I still find myself doing a first and second 11 in the tactics set up. The structure of the squad planner encourages you to have players in multiple positions. E.g. you put your best right footed centerback as the second op left center back. While I may play him there on occassion, it does not give you the feel you’re assessing ‘squad depth’ like you are when setting your first 11 and subs for a game. For instance, you could have on left centerback a squad planner with 4 players (e.g left centerback, right centerback, left back and defensive midfielder), but in practice I actually need a back up left center back. That would have become obvious when setting up my best 11 and subs, because the others would already be accounted for in my line up. I guess my broader point is that positions are mutually exclusive, while the squad planner is not. I do understand the appeal because I may very well play me left back on left centerback, but it doesn’t help me in assessing where I lack depth
  9. Two questions on this. 1. Why would AI team building ‘ruin’ the game for you? Just scout and sign young players yourself, develop them and sell them off for profit or play them. That being said, I take your point that realism should be strived for, I just wouldn’t call it a game-breaking bug any more than Morocco winning the 2022 World Cup in my beta save. 2. How certain are you that your results are not driven by your game set up? Seeing you’re quite a lot of seasons along, do you have a multi-country multi-league setup? I.e if you don’t load neighbouring countries or lower divisions of your countries of interest, it may affect the loan opportunities of youngsters. Also, which countries are producing regens in your set up? If it’s only England for instance, how realistic is it to expect only English youngsters to fill the boots of wonderkids from across the globe?
  10. Patric Pfeiffer is an amazing pick up for any club just below the Real Madrid / Bayern Munchen level. He's a 23 year old centerback with 17 jumping reach and 18 pace without having other real gaps. He's averaging a 7.57 for me after about a season. He's also a threat on set pieces, being 196cm tall. Available for about 3.5 million from Darmstadt and his wage also won't break the bank
  11. Small point - the transfer window currently ends on 1 September in the Eredivisie. If i recall correctly, this was 31 August in reality
  12. I think indeed players like Bijlow, Geertruida and Kokcu make much much more than 400k. I think Slot has said in his press conferences last year that, rather than bringing in new players, Feyenoord invested in giving youngsters new contracts. The rumours are that Feyenoord offered Geertruida 900k, which Geertruida rejected, although ultimately they did find agreement on a new contract. I think it's a safe bet to say that all three of them make more than 700k. Of course i understand that this is not very tangible evidence and I do not have the exact numbers, but the point I'm making is that the order of magnitude seems to be off. Source on the Geertruida rumour is FeyenoordTM, although the agent denied it. https://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=391791
  13. I actually agree with you on this. As I said, I haven't seen his CA but if he's one of the best midfielders in the league and has the potential to become an Arsenal starter in 2 years, that seems reasonable. Especially if he gets a further upgrade for the full game
  14. Thank you. Good to hear you're still looking into this. I just think Kokcu's profile in particular could use some tweaking. In particular: As you're aware, Kokcu is listed as a squad player. Last season he has played a total of 4265 minutes for Feyenoord (equivalent to 47.4 matches of 90 minutes). I think this points to at least regular starter, if not important player. Kokcu has one of the lowest wages on the Feyenoord team (approximately 350k per year). I don't think it is in line with expectations that he would earn 50% less than Marcos Lopez or that Paixao would earn more than twice as much. I have not checked CA because I'm enjoying playing with Feyenoord now and Kokcu is indeed already a good player, but if he is indeed the 7th best player on the Feyenoord team that could either mean that other players are rated too highly or Kokcu not high enough.
  15. 7th best Feyenoorder? That in itself sounds a bit unrealistic. You could argue that Hancko or Szymanski may be better, but surely he's at least the third best player?
  16. For Feyenoord the squad number 12 is not retired. While in reality 12 is reserved for the fans, no player could wear it.
  17. There are a few issues with the Reserves Eredivisie. First of all, the wrong teams are in there. There are two FC Twente youth teams in the league, while in reality the following teams are in there: Jong PEC Zwolle Jong Groningen Jong Feyenoord Jong De Graafschap Jong ADO Jong Willem II Jong Almere City Jong Emmen Moreover, there should be promotion from this league to the Tweede Divisie, which is part of the football pyramid (third tier).
  18. Good shout as well. They have B, Baskonia and U19. Unfortunately no more than that
  19. Thanks, this is a great response. It is a shame that Estonia is not in the base game.
  20. I have a bit of an odd request for a club, which is not so easy to Google. In particular, I like to play Football Manager in a Chelsea-like 'stockpiling' of youthplayer fashion, signing 30+ youngsters each season. Now, these players need a place to develop and then be sold for profit. I'm therefore looking for a club that: Has a favourable loaning-out environment, e.g. few restrictions Has as many youth / B teams as I can get Ideally has another team that plays in the professional football pyramid Especially the second requirement is hard to come by. I like to have at least 3 teams where I can store youngsters which may be too young to go out on loan, may not have any loan interest, or may not be there in their development yet. Ideally these clubs would play competitive (youth) matches. The best club I have found so far is Maritimo in Portugal. It has a B team that plays in a playable league in the pyramid (fourth Portuguese level), an U23's and U19s in Portuguese youth leagues. They also have an U19-B team, which does not play in a league but may be able to enter one (I assume based on Miles blog post). So this is a team that has 4 youth/B teams. It also produces some Brazilian regens, which is a fun addition. Leixoes has the same number of youth teams and its U19-B team is in a youth competition, but its B team is not in the pyramid and does not seem like it ever will be (it is in a regional lower division, so no promotion into the pyramid). A couple other clubs have three youth teams. E.g. Juventus has B in the pyramid, and an U20 and U18 in youth competitions. Krasnodar has a 2nd team, an U21 and an U18, but the youth teams do not play in a league.
  21. Stay strong brothers that are still waiting, your time will come soon
  22. Mine is starting to download. Let's hope it keeps working.
  23. @Kyle Brown is it a matter of waiting for CoD downloaders to go to bed, or is Steam actively upgrading its capacity?
