  1. I added a custom background folder in (see attached) to this location: /Users/NAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/skins/fm23BaseTrans/graphics/boxes/custom And I added this code in at line 29 to the client object browser.xml custom.zip
  2. I've added in the kit/name to the Base Skin, but how do I get the name "WAN-BISSAKA" to stay within the shirt area? Imagine if it was Milinkovic-Savic, it would be over his face
  3. On the Base23 Transparent option, how do you increase the darkness of the side panel so type is more legible off it? Or introduce the background back into it slightly so you can see the stripes. EDIT: sorted it, thanks!
  4. Base Skin has been released so I can get to work in updating these packs for FM23 now, hopefully everything will be released before/on 8th Novemeber.
  5. Yeah looks like it's poorly worded in that case as I get solid backgrounds regardless of the option being toggled on/off. @bluestillidie00 is there are work around for this then, or a case of waiting for a Base Skin option?
  6. Lovely work this! What's the best stadium pack to use with this, for the mini stadiums on the club Info screen?
  7. Unless I'm missing something obvious, it appears this "Allow display of custom background pictures" feature within preferences isn't working, as toggled on or off, background images do not show. Mac OS Monterey v12.6, MacBook Pro 2019.

  9. Thanks, rather disappointingly, it appears this "Allow display of custom background pictures" isn't working so I'll have to wait for it to be fixed, Base Skin or another custom skin that allows me to get to work on this
  10. I love stuff like this, my job is literally building, maintaining and improving live JIRA boards with people and processes. Not sure if you use JIRA internally but this type of roadmap could be built into a real extensive workflow that runs through different departments via Kanban and/or Sprints that all interlock, I've just migrated the company I work for out of a smaller Trello set-up into an extensive JIRA workflow system and we are reaping the rewards in all areas of the business, seems absolutely ideal for yearly idea generation/iteration, tracking and improvements for FM.
  11. I play the game on that Data Analyst camera angle purely because I can't stick some of the closer up angles in 3D as it just looks odd. I used to love 2D but for some season the life was stripped out of it, removed the stadiums and now it just feels a bit of an afterthought. I'd love to see SI improve 3D graphically etc but also make 2D much better so people have a genuine option to either flick between the two, or if you have low spec PC/Mac you can play it on commentary mode (like old CM97/87) or a great-looking 2D. For me though, the bigger problem is match day immersion, I've mentioned this for years - the current set-up of stadiums, picnic-benches, odd building filling corners etc all contribute to the match-day feeling samey and not being much different between a World Cup final and say a Premier League match. They need to nail that differentiation of different atmospheres from around the world. A stadium editor would go a long way to fixing this as the community would be all over it, without SI having to do the work.
  12. I know some are not bothered about the new UEFA license but it's such a good addition, and more need to be added over time. The licenses add real immersion, that doesn't need modding in - without the mods the vanilla game is is exactly that, vanilla. One thing that has irked me for years is that there is no in-match difference from playing a league game, to a European match, let alone a European final - this addition is massive, and you'll see it play out over the year. From the cup draws, to the in match presentation, CL song, adboards - it will offer a huge immersion difference to league matches. Winning a European final will feel more special too. I read in the blog that the EFL also has "licensed broadcast graphics". Amazing! As for the length of the 40 minute video, I really enjoyed it - I put it on the TV, grabbed a bru and watched it through - although I am 39 so probably older than their target demographic these days, but I enjoyed it.
  13. Thank you - I'll be releasing new/bigger packs for FM23, started working on them already
  14. Some good features in there, and the UEFA branding looks slick, but I expected a set-pieces overhaul and international management improvements so a little disappointed with that. Match engine looks like it’s moved on slightly although not graphically. Hoping this updated AI means improved AI squad building over time, which would improve long term saves.
  15. This is a MUST for me, I thought last year was the time to implement this, so IMO it's overdue.
  16. I've run dry in FM22 and not played it for a couple of months (I think that's more down to me playing Horizon & Last of Us though) so I'm raring to go on FM23. I usually move all my graphics/edits over to FM23, uninstall FM22 and remove any files from my system, then use the Beta period to expand on my editing before the launch of the full game, so I'm ready to go. Honestly no idea who to start with this year though, I need something to really get my teeth into that will last months.
  17. Hi all, I’ve been working on a number of background projects, this one is adding stadium pictures to the background of clubs and stadiums throughout the game from all over the world, I’ve been doing this for my own personal use, but decided to share with the community, something I've built up over 2-3 years now. All are 2560x1600 at 227px, which is basically MacBook Pro Retina size, so the quality is superb in most instances. They have been compressed to their smallest file size possible without loss of quality. It currently covers 223 different countries, some deep into the lower leagues too, over the world so it's pretty extensive (1.6Gb in file size) but I am however happy to update this over time, likewise if you notice any errors or any additions you'd like please let me know in this thread and I'll correct/add them. Stadiums in England are complete down to level 8 too (Northern Premier, Southern League, Isthmian League etc) Steps to add to your game; 1. Download here 2. Unzip and place here: ‎⁨ [PC] Documents⁩ ▸ ⁨Sports Interactive⁩ ▸ ⁨Football Manager 2021 ▸ ⁨graphics⁩ ▸ ⁨backgrounds⁩ ▸ ⁨stadium [MAC] Users ▸ YOURNAME ▸Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Sports Interactive ▸ Football Manager 2021 ▸ graphics ▸ backgrounds ▸ stadium 3. Go to preferences (advanced and select interface) and ensure "Reload Skin" is ticked (you may need to clear your cache too) and click "confirm". Please note: For these to work you'll need to use a custom or Base Skin with a transparency that supports backgrounds. I have set one up here, but all credit is Michaeltmurrayuk: http://www.mediafire.com/file/qj7ebhz2eu067k4/base21_dark20_tr.zip/file If you are going to redistribute these, please ask permission.
