  1. Have only played for about an hour to see how the game looks and feels. Here’s my thoughts so far (playing on iPad): Positives Visually it looks great. Both in match and in menu, very sharp. The match engine feels more like football than previous versions. I set up a low block with the aim of keeping the ball and allowing little penetration from the opposition. It worked great. Negatives: It amazes me every release how many things don’t work, that surely must have been spotted in testing and development. Examples below: Average positions are blank In data hub, there is no functioning data. Everything is zero. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it feels broken. Thought it might be the time slider, but touching that does nothing. Look at the report if recommended players. 21 results but on screen is the same player 4 times.
  2. I can’t make any generic sweeping statements, but my brother is a teenager now. Tried getting him interested in FM a few years back. He enjoyed me explaining what I was doing with my team and during matches, but has no interest at all in playing. Would much rather play Fortnite, Overwatch or FIFA. I think a big barrier to new players is not so much graphics, but the fact the game is very much like a full time admin job.
  3. I’ve played FM/CM since CM2. I’ve learnt the game slowly over the years. If I was coming to FM as a new player now, the sheer amount of info, screens and things to learn just to understand the game on a basic level is daunting. I agree graphics aren’t everything but there has been no improvement to stadiums or pitch and lighting textures for 6 years. The game could look so much better and feel more immersive.
  4. There’s a very real possibility that in a years time FM23 disappears from the Apple Arcade, along with all save game progress.
  5. Saw the tweet which was a minute trailer video of Rodri and Gundogan promoting the game. Still said release tomorrow.
  6. Thanks. One of the things I really want to know is, when FM24 rolls round, will FM23 be pulled from the Arcade, in the same way FM22 is being pulled from Gamepass on Tuesday?
  7. New video and screenshots on Apple Arcade. Not much but it’s something. Almost certainly no squad planner in Touch. If I worked at SI and had been on the FMT project team all year, I’d want to show off/market what I’d been working on. Almost feels like it’s an afterthought and that it’s going to be a one and done year with Apple.

  9. Until they announced this afternoon that console version is delayed indefinitely… Been an all-round poop-fest this year’s release.

  11. Neither 20 (a ME full of shots from stupid angles) or 21 (youth/regen bug) were really playable on release.
  12. This has been the worst year for me as an FM Touch fan. After the shambles of last year and no game, there was renewed hope with it being an Apple Arcade exclusive. But here we are just 7 days from ‘expected release’ and we have next to zero information. I have no hope whatsoever that the product that gets released is going to be in a playable state (think every single release and major bugs)
  13. Never liked the away goal rule because it offered an unfair advantage to the away team in the second leg. Lets say the first game finished 1-1 and then after 90 mins, the second leg also finishes 1-1, the game will go to extra time. The team playing away in this second leg now has an additional 30 minutes to score an away goal.
  14. Well, Apple Arcade has it listed as ‘Expected Nov 8th’ - the expected part sure seems to give them wiggle room if the release is delayed. (Tin foil hat well and truly on!)
  15. I appreciate the response and your thoughts. If we were still 1-2 months out from release, I’d agree. I’m delighted the game is back, but I do marketing/hype could have been better considering release in 13 days. Little and often is usually best in social/marketing. That said, full fat FM is obviously the main product and moneymaker, so it’d be silly to expect Touch to be marketed ahead of this.
  16. 😂 I know you are limited by what you can say, but can you appreciate how it looks to the consumer to have no information about a product that comes out in less than 2 weeks? The FM Touch player base felt like we were outsiders, the forgotten ones previously; particularly with the last minute announcement that there was no FMT22. Imagine our excitement this year to hear it’s returning as an Apple Arcade exclusive. The expectation that SI and Apple would surely be marketing this, pushing ready for November 8th… And then nothing. Just feels disappointing already and the game isn’t even out yet.
  17. Even FM Mobile has just had its feature announcement today, while Touch is less than 2 weeks from release with next to no info.
  18. Just wrote this in the feedback thread. The CL music on continuous loop all game, and it restarts every mouse click. Very annoying.
  19. Has anyone else got an issue with the champions league music playing on a loop during champions league matches? First game I’ve played, and the music is on one continuous loop. I love the CL and the music but my goodness, this is annoying! edit: it also restarts the music every mouse click!
  20. Hi, I‘ve always played on iPad and have used various models. My experience has been: the entry level ipad isn’t great for playing games, particularly intensive ones like FM. The 3D match engine quickly uses battery- typically full charge on any model will last 90-120 mins when playing in 3D. the mid level and iPad Pro will run the game fine. I currently have the pro model and it’s a big step up performance wise playing games. I’ve put the compatibility info from arcade below. Looks like it’s just dependent on the device running a certain iOS or above. Arcade is £5 a month subscription which gives you access to the whole library of games. No extra cost to play, but potentially purchasable ‘add ons/unlockables’
  21. It won’t undo the lack of player technical development up to the point you are in game. Meaning, if a player is 25 in game, and hasn’t developed technically because of the bug, they won’t suddenly get boosts to the technicals after the fix.
