Hi all it's common knowledge your head of youth development influences your youth intake. What influence do other staff members have on your youth intake e.g. assistant manager or general coaches? Can they have an impact on factors such as the personality of your youngsters? For example if a young prospect has your assistant manager as a favourite person can they inherit their personality?

Club owned ground and facilities. I can ask the board to upgrade training facilities, youth coaching and youth recruitment but not youth facilities?

Hi all doing a tier 10 youth academy challenge and noticed the option isn't available to 'upgrade youth facilities'. This isn't an issue at the moment because I'm in tier 10 but can see it being a problem later on in the save. After researching the issue I think it could be down to the chairman's attributes being low for youth priority? Can this be fixed by getting 'develop players through youth academy' in the club vision?

Hi all what are your thoughts on the Control Posession 4-3-3 DM Wide preset tactic? I ran it through rate my tactic and it has 5* potential. Would it be possible to take a non-league team to the Premier League using just this preset without tweaking roles etc. (using it out of the box if you like) and focusing on player recruitment, tactical familiarity and dynamics? Or am I wasting my time on the idea of this challenge? TIA 🙂

After simulating two seasons in Czech Republic I started my first youth academy challenge with newly promoted Banik Sokolov. Things to consider: - This challenge is on FM22 - Not attempting to get on any leader boards - All facilities, recruitment etc. ranked 'adequate' Now on to Season 3 of the save Some interesting points (and some comical): - Two consecutive 9th place finishes - Accidentally had youth recruitment assigned to my assistant manager and not the head of youth development 😂 - However, he brought through Ladislav Kucera CA 1.5* who has quickly developed in to our best player by star rating - The board also decided to downgrade our training facilities because of 'changes in technological advancements' Never seen this before but it had to happen on a youth academy challenge! Doing well in our third season. Some of our academy players are really starting to shine. I don't mind press conferences or player interactions, however it would be nice if you could collectively praise player conducts instead of having to do it individually.

Playing my first ever youth academy challenge and I can honestly say it's the most fun I've had on a football manager save 🙂

The best way is to disregard your assistant manager's advice and do things your own way.

It's safe to give out international cap bonuses if you know your player isn't good enough for an international cap!
