No. Think the emotion involved makes a huge difference when it comes to remembering. I can remember the odd bit from each tournament if I think hard enough, have a fondness for WC98 over others but then that was my first WC as a kid.

They don't just decide that, but also what end the penalties are taken at.

It's not proven to make it any more equal, which I think was one of the reason it was tried.

Didn't watch the ITV coverage of the final but apparently Roy Keane was pretty scathing of Martinez' antics during the penalty shootout (plus he got a yellow card too). I was thinking the rules are a bit biased against goalkeepers, if they are going to hand out yellows for that, but not yellows for players doing stop starts on their run ups for the penalties to get the keepers to go the wrong way. Should Martinez really have been given a yellow, should stuff like Lewandowski breaking the rules on penalty taking so he gets a second go, be allowed (Poland v France)?

Good to know there's a team worse than us on penalty records though.

I'm not so sure that point is all that unreasonable though. There is just too much, to be on the right side of everything. Dollar to donuts we use things everyday without realizing or knowing what unethical, immoral practices are behind it. Don't think it means some people are "*****" though. And to be honest, if that's the attitude towards people who don't toe the line then it's not going to win many supporters to the cause.

We're aware of legibility and contrast issues in various places within the user interface but what would really help would be some specific examples that you have for us to investigate. There are lots of different user interface elements in the game where different colours, textures are used in conjunction with things like text size as well, so a "comparatively easy fix" is not quite the case. We're resolute in improving accessibility across our titles and any specific examples of feedback will help us with that. Thanks.

Only reason I wanted Saka off at HT was that I was convinced that Grealish would have better luck drawing fouls Saka played really well though, but he was harshly done by when there were clear fouls. Chiellini in the final of the Euros should have been sent off as well, I've not forgotten that.

Tbh the game is 90 minutes, if a team is relying on the referee for a result and they can't win from open play, they probably don't deserve to. I felt we were the better side in parts but we lack incisiveness in certain areas. We lack a creative CM and everything goes down the wings with Harry dropping deep because there isn't a CM who can create like he has done for us (until we try Foden/Grealish as a 10). We played really well this tournament compared to the last two but we didn't do as well from set plays as we have done which could have given us an edge. Maguire was unlucky with his header, but other than that, it was fine margins and there isn't really an excuse. Another day we'd have won and we'd be worrying about how we'd break down Morroco.

Maguire too, and probably Jude Bellingham (if only because for many they won't have seen him much). I would like Gareth to think about his future within the FA beyond being manager as I hope he stays in some way. He's a great ambassador and it would hurt to just lose him. Not sure who comes in as an apprentice to be manager though.

More like a Deep Lying Forward creating space by drawing defenders out and allowing the wide players in. Worked very well this tournament, better in the past when it relied on Sterling so much. I'd rather we didn't play that way but our weakest spot is actually centre mid and unlocking defences from there which is why Kane drops so much because of what he offers creatively. Could try Foden or Grealish in the middle somewhere I guess. Yeah it's annoying seeing Harry drop into midfield but our weakest spot in the team is that third CM who can unlock defences. Henderson isn't going to do that, and Bellingham is a different sort of player. Maybe it falls on Mount more, but then I don't know what Mount's role is when he plays. At least he won us a penalty though.
