  1. 8GB is technically enough, but you never know what may change with system requirements There are cheaper alternatives - I was just going for what would give the best performance within the budget you gave. If you'd prefer to spend a bit less, this is a very good option: https://www.box.co.uk/30033536-Medion-Erazer-Deputy-P25-AMD-Ryzen-5-16G_4098856.html
  2. At the sort of price you're looking at, I'd be wanting to look at models with 16GB RAM. Here's another suggestion: https://www.box.co.uk/82JH001FUK-Lenovo-Legion-5-Intel-Core-i7-16GB-RAM-5_3777043.html
  3. This looks an excellent deal - excellent CPU, very strong graphics card, with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD: https://www.box.co.uk/NH.QEWEK.001-Acer-Nitro-5-Intel-Core-i7-16GB-RAM-1TB-_4084896.html
  4. I think you need to be a bit clearer with what you're trying to do, as I personally can't make out what you're asking.
  5. The biggest gripe I have with shouts is you don't have the chance to withdraw the shout once you have selected it - I have seen multiple instances where something has happened in the highlight where I made the shout which renders it a silly thing to say (ie, using the berate shout, only to have your team then go on and score a goal). I'd like the ability to retract the shout before it's actually made at the end of the highlight, much like you get asked if you want to keep your tactical changes if a goal is then scored.
  6. You can switch Windows out of S mode by following the steps here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307 But, from those three, the first one is the one to go for. Avoid the other two.
  7. 2025/26 - Mid-Season update I went into this season without a club after choosing to leave Haverfordwest at the end of my contract. As the season went into October, a number of jobs in the National League became available. I had interviews with Woking, Grimsby and Solihull Moors and was offered all three, however I turned them down on the basis of unrealistic expectations based on the current league position. However, one other club came in for me and this time I went for it. Stevenage FC - National League Stevenage were newly back in the non-league picture after finishing bottom of League Two last season. At the time of taking the job, we are sitting 13th in the table and the board would be happy with a mid-table finish. Form hasn't been spectacular, as you can see, but that's mainly down to drawing so many games. The club is currently in good health financially, which is good to see. The first thing I've done as manager is strip the current captain of the captaincy, as he's unhappy and wants to leave following the club's relegation last season. I've also offered him out for sale, as although he is a very good player, he's in a position where the club seems to have a number of talented options.
  8. As you will see from the screenshot below, prior to accepting the job, the league expectation was a mid-table finish. However, once the job was accepted this was altered (with no warning) to a playoff place being expected, as per the screenshot below: This obviously seems like a bug to me. I've uploaded save files, both at the point of job offer and immediately after accepting.
  9. 2024/25 - Haverfordwest County AFC - JD Cymru Premier Board Expectation - Top half finish Media Prediction - 4th As seems to be the custom with this club, the summer was busy in terms of player transfer, with eight players coming in, and seven coming in (although both of those figures include the sale and loan back of Patrick Gamble to Wigan). One further signing was made in the January transfer window, and for the first time that one involved a transfer fee (yikes). Unlike last season, I actually managed to properly arrange pre-season friendlies. And this time, the Europa Conference League draw was much kinder as we faced Andorran club Inter Club D'Escaldes in the first qualifying round, which we won 8-3 on aggregate. The second qualifying round saw a much tougher draw as we faced Puskás Akadémia from Hungary. This time, we lost 6-4 on aggregate, but that did include a very good performance in a 4-4 draw in the away leg. League form was patchy to begin with, although this did improve significantly once we reached November when we started winning virtually every game. When the league split, we found ourselves in 3rd place, and after winning the first three games in the Championship group, we started suffering nosebleeds as we were in the vertigo-inducing heights of 1st place. However, form them essentially collapsed although we were far ahead enough of the lower half of the Championship Group that we were never in any danger of finishing outside of the top three, despite heavy losses against both TNS and Connah's Quay. Cup form was again excellent. We reached the quarter final of the League Cup, crashing out against Swansea Uni on penalties. The Welsh Cup was another matter, as we managed to win the trophy for the second successive season, again defeating Connah's Quay in the final. We were once again entered into the Europa Conference League qualification playoff, again despite already qualifying through winning the Welsh Cup. And no, I still don't understand this. Not that it matters, as we once again lost in the final of this seemingly pointless playoff against Bangor City. What next? I've decided I will not renew my contract as I feel it's time to move on. TNS and Connah's Quay pretty much have a stranglehold on the league - I think the Bangor City win last season was a blip. Especially with TNS being the one fully Professional club in the league, I can't see anybody overthrowing them, bar one freak season here and there. I don't have a new club to go to as yet, so what happens from here is a mystery to me. But, I've left Haverfordwest in a much better place than I found them. When I joined, they were in a relegation battle and a minus figure in the bank. Under me, they've qualified for Europe for three seasons in a row, have won the League Cup and the Welsh Cup for the first time in their history, and have a positive bank balance to the tune of £430k. 10. Personally, I'd go for the i5 one at John Lewis: https://www.johnlewis.com/dell-inspiron-15-3511-laptop-intel-core-i5-processor-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-15-6-inch-full-hd-platinum-silver/p5939639
  11. I'd personally avoid both. In that sort of price range, I'd go for this: https://www.johnlewis.com/dell-inspiron-13-5310-laptop-intel-core-i5-processor-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-13-3-inch-full-hd-platinum-silver/p5856050
  12. Aberdeen was a good move I think. Good to see how well you've done in the ECL.
  13. There is no easy answer to that, as there are multiple models for both i5 and R5 CPUs, some good and others less good in both cases.
  14. Probably - but I don't think you get advance notice of what the TV revenue will be, so it's not possible to know in advance how much this will be. I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong (I've not played in the EPL since FM19). But, in reality as long as you keep within the budgets set by your board, you'll be fine. Relegation wage drop clauses are important, and you may well find you'll need to sell players if you come back down, whether due to financial constraints or because the players want to leave due to relegation.
  15. This: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1994407?clickPR=plp:5:57 Or: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/hp-pavilion-14ec0537sa-14-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-256-gb-ssd-blue-10229545.html Both have the same CPU and RAM. The one at Argos has a larger SSD.
  16. The irony of this coming from a Man City supporter lol. In all seriousness though, I don't recall seeing any in my current save and I'm almost at the end of the 4th season.
  17. The league rules page for the EPL shows the prize money for each position. What it won't show is things like TV revenue. My suggestion - stay within your budgets set by the board and include things like relegation wage drops into contracts for any new signings,
  18. This: https://www.box.co.uk/82FE00A1UK-Lenovo-ideaPad-5i-Intel-Core-i5-8GB-RAM-_3638069.html But it is a sale price, so I'd suggest moving quickly for it. You'll need to switch Windows out of S mode: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307
  19. Yes, but if you can afford an extra £20 I'd go for this which has the same CPU but twice the RAM: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/acer-aspire-3-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i3-128-gb-ssd-silver-10226972.html It's best to go for at least 8GB RAM if you can. Or, if you have more of a budget let me know what you can afford and I'll see what else is available.
  20. No, that clause is if he gets sold to a new club. So, if he signs a new contract with the current club, there'll be no sell-on fee due.
  21. Yes, but one is a 15.6" screen and the other is 14". Otherwise, the spec seems to be the same. With any of these laptops, you'll need to take Windows out of S mode once you set them up: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307
  22. Sega approved retailers: https://www.sega.com/sega-approved-partner-list
  23. For that budget, I'd suggest looking at refurbished. If you're happy with that, I'd suggest this: https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/laptops/ideapad-3i-14-i3/ If you only want to go brand new, I'd go for this: https://www.box.co.uk/GE202-Geo-Infinity-GeoBook-340_3778298.html
  24. They'd all do the job quite nicely. I'd choose between the ones with 16GB RAM - really, as the specs are largely the same between them, just take a look at the reviews of each and choose which one you like the look of the most.
