  1. A much better CPU. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700T-vs-Intel-Core-i5-11400/m36439vs4112
  2. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9394078?clickSR=slp:term:hp laptop:1:51:1 - that one will do the job quite nicely. I'd avoid the other one.
  3. This would be quite a lot better: https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-TP01-2256-i5-11400/dp/B09VQZJLYL/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1657667015&refinements=p_36%3A-43000&rnid=13896617011&s=electronics&sr=1-1
  4. The star ratings are known to be flawed. If you're happy with how the game runs and the frame rate of the 3D match graphics then don't spend time worrying about it.
  5. Personally, I do think FM22 is a decent improvement over FM20 for the most part, Whether it's worth it for you I can't really comment on. If you're still enjoying your FM20 save then perhaps think about waiting for FM23 as that's only gonna be around 3 months away, based on past version release dates.
  6. Either is fine. The Ryzen 7 scores more highly overall in terms of CPU, but the i5 does have twice the RAM and twice the storage. Both are very well priced, so I don't think you'd go wrong choosing either of these. The i5 is probably a bit more future proof due to the larger RAM, even if the CPU scores a bit lower.
  7. Either of these two - have the same CPU and graphics card, which puts them above the other two, one of which has a slightly worse graphics card, and one where both the CPU and graphics card are weaker. https://www.pccomponentes.com/msi-prestige-15-a12ud-053xes-intel-core-i7-1280p-32gb-1tb-ssd-rtx-3050ti-156 https://www.elcorteingles.es/electronica/A43425455-portatil-msi-prestige-15-a12ud-083es-i7-32gb-1tb-ssd-geforce-rtx-3050ti-4gb-156-w11/?parentCategoryId=999.13340219013&color=Gris carbón
  8. If you've seen that same spec for £629 and it's brand new, my advice is to snap it up.
  9. As per benchmarks on: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmark-List.2436.0.html? This scores the M1 Pro higher overall, although this does show the M2 offers superior performance per core. I'd say it's going to be a fairly close thing between the two based on these scores.
  10. Yep, your current CPU is fairly weak by current standards, however rather than relying purely on the star rating which is flawed, I'd suggest running the game with the setup you want and see how you actually find it. I am going to assume you meant 8GB RAM rather than 8MB! In terms of your requirements, if you only want to look at Dell laptops, then the best you're going to find under £500 looks like this: https://www.box.co.uk/2V448-Dell-Vostro-15-3515-Ryzen-5-8GB-RAM-256G_4103172.html If you're happy to look at things other than a Dell, you can something like this which offers better performance for the money than anything Dell is currently offering: https://www.box.co.uk/82LN00DJUK-Lenovo-ideaPad-5-AMD-Ryzen-5-8GB-RAM-256_3746804.html
  11. Both are basically the same spec, so I'd go for the one at Argos. You'll need to switch Windows out of S mode using the steps here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307 You'll likely need to use lower 3D graphics settings with this, but the CPU itself is fine.
  12. I wouldn't recommend it as the base clock speed is below what SI suggest. What's your budget?
  13. The cheaper one here actually seems to be the better option, based on the CPU benchmarks. But this one is a bit better still: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lenovo-ideapad-3i-14-laptop-intel-core-i7-512-gb-ssd-blue-10228904.html You will need to take Windows out of S mode: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/s-mode-how-to-turn-off-windows-10/53ce25ce-734b-48b8-8d1e-baa5adb5d88b
  14. Yes, this would be quite a bit better: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lenovo-ideapad-3i-14-laptop-intel-core-i7-512-gb-ssd-blue-10228904.html But you will need to take Windows out of S mode, which is easily done: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/s-mode-how-to-turn-off-windows-10/53ce25ce-734b-48b8-8d1e-baa5adb5d88b
  15. Yes, it should run FM22 well. May not manage max 3D settings at a stable frame rate, but should be good for medium to high. Download the demo and see how you find it.
  16. I do agree that the moaning about position/role needs tweaking. It's taught me to try to avoid promising playing a player in a specific position or role, because things can sometimes need to be altered.
  17. Yep. https://www.box.co.uk/GA401QE-K2002T-ASUS-ROG-Zephyrus-G14-AMD-Ryzen-9-16GB-R_3829009.html Half the price of the equivalent Macbook Pro. Plus it'll be excellent for other games as well.
  18. It definitely meets the minimum specs for the game, but the processing will likely be slower than you're used to. You'll also need to use lower settings if you're using the 3D match engine - both are the same CPU. You'll need to take Windows out of S mode for both in order to install Steam and FM: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307
  19. https://www.box.co.uk/NX.A1FEK.006-Acer-Aspire-5-Intel-Core-i5-8GB-RAM-512G_4084924.html
  20. It really depends on what you want. The M1 based Macbooks are extremely capable, but you are paying the Apple premium to get them. A Windows based machine with similar specs would definitely cost you less.
  21. As per the OP, we don't comment on that as people have different expectations of what is an acceptable speed for the processing.
  22. Best thing I can suggest is looking at reviews. Also, gaming laptops will be louder on the whole - given the amount of hardware being crammed into a laptop shell, the fans need to work harder to keep it cool. If you want to avoid a lot of fan noise, you'll probably need to look at laptops with a CPU with an integrated GPU. Which is fine for FM as long as you pick carefully. Many other games will be an issue without a dedicated graphics card though, so if you do want to be playing other games you'll likely need to accept there's going to be a fair bit of fan noise.
  23. This does meet the mininum specs: https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/deals/lenovo-330-15arr-ryzen-12gb-120gb-fhd/ It won't be quick, but it will run the game. If you do want to buy it, I'd suggest doing it quite quick as it's a refurb model with only one in stock.
