This has been an issue for a while, but can you please fix the staff search function? If I am looking for recruitment analysts, I shouldn't have to waste a negotiation with someone who, despite being in the results for 'recruitment analyst', is only interested in being a scout or some other job that isn't the one I'm searching for. I even add the extra search layer of 'preferred job > is', but that doesn't matter. Really annoying and a massive waste of time.

Yes, actually, it does. And you raise a good point. I am more or less disappointed that the "exploit" is so easy to find. I understand that you can't account for everything. I wouldn't be so sad about it if I didn't love the game. What I find stale is that I don't see my wide forward players getting more goals--but I will dive into some other tactics videos and see what I can do. And, as someone else mentioned earlier, halfway through our season we've been "found out" by a few teams. So, I suppose, even when you find something exploitative, the AI will try its best to nullify or stop it. Maybe my mileage will vary once I've gotten out of the lower leagues and have to play tougher competition.

Do you play games looking to win them or lose them? Pretty silly reply that doesn't address anything I said at all. There should be more than 1 viable path to a great tactic from a football simulator. That shouldn't be a controversial opinion.

How do we still have matches with kit clashes and GK kits that blend with the outfield kits in FM 2023? Seems like a pretty basic thing to avoid.

Just had a shootout after a back-to-back quarter final cup tie with only a day's rest between matches, and yet, despite a full 120 minutes, every one of mine and the opposition's players shot their pen on target. No one missed! In a lower division cup tie! Fatigued beyond poor, with low composure, awful finishing and even worse penalty attributes. The game even bothered to show how scuffed the pen spot was!

You can easily win games, too, just by resting players during fixture congestion because the AI will run their best players ragged without care.

For as much talk as there was about improved defending in FM23, I don't see it at all. Maybe it is because I am in the lower leagues, but keeping a clean sheet is practically impossible without luck. In other words, there is nothing a human player can do to best set up the team to first and foremost negate the attack. It is really sad, especially given how successful defensive tactics were at the World Cup. I hope someone who mostly plays top-level leagues will quote this saying that the defending is better at the higher levels, but, after reading through these comments, it doesn't seem likely. I ***really*** hope there is a good patch coming that makes defending possible. This current iteration of the ME means, in my experience at least, you HAVE to try to control possession or go out on the attack, or else you'll be cannon fodder.

I wonder if you hadn't changed the agreed playing time and just instead rotated them as you had planned if that would have changed things for you. If they clearly recognize and accept your terms for reduced playing time, then theoretically they wouldn't be upset when they aren't played as stars and thus wouldn't be mad that you've reduce their playing time. Just a guess though, as player interactions are always difficult.

I believe you've confused the "I've taken you off because of a tactical change / we were in control of the match / etc." post-match statement that you can make directly to the player subbed. I've noticed that helps appease them sometimes.

If memory serves, the Danish league only admits, like, ten teams and plays in stadiums and arenas with fewer than, like, 10,000 seats. Even if your club is the best in the world and whatnot, surely the rest of the league are still far behind you in terms of progress. Why would such a small league, even with your juggernaut club playing in it and winning stuff, surpass Spain, Germany, England, Italy, or France?

I run @Daveincid injury files and have experienced a GK being injured in a match very recently, but I haven't seen one sent off for a red card.

Well, I hadn't expected to be one of the few players aware of this. For anyone who hasn't found them, go to the scouted players section in the scouting tab and click around your scout's reports. If they've never watched the player before, you won't see anything, obviously, but if they have then they will have prepared a viewable highlight package from however many games watched. If you ask a scout to watch a player's matches in a league you haven't loaded they still will, however, you cannot watch any highlights.
