  1. Your description of enganche as a hard working role just isn't true earlier you said it's better to play a BBM player in the role of enganche which if you ever came to that point of putting such a player in that role you would rather just not use an enganche at all in the ME. Honestly my whole comment was about the difference between a FM take on an enganche and what an enganche means in real life, that is all. I linked your earlier comment and elaborate further on the enganche role in FM using a "riquelme experiment" as an example.
  2. True, although your description is wrong there is a difference between an enganche in the FM and an enganche irl. And a lot of the time when using roles it is best to view them from how it works in the game. In FM20 there was an experiment of recreating Riquelme's playing style using an enganche and it didn't work out well. https://rocksendfm.com/2020/10/26/the-south-american-roles-the-enganche-feat-fm-grasshopper/
  3. Friendlies help since especially during the off-season I only care if the tactic works from there I like to make sure my wins are convincing and dominant, however friendlies are less competitive imo then league games so if the win isn't really reassuring then it may not hold up in the league. Looking out for key passes and how well the team transitions from defence to attack and vice verse and there is a good YT called BTN (Bustthenet) which touches on these aspects and recently him and some other content creators have created the Tactic Tester which is helpful for experimenting with tactics. I would link it but I don't really do those things nor do I have fm22. Your 352 does remind me of this thread which explains how he took an idea from real life and translated to the game and how he changes his setup when facing opposition tactics , what I would say is that you are thinking very logically (which is good) but you don't really say/know how your tactic is creating the chances from an in game point of view. Although it is FM21, a lot still applies today.
  4. I wonder if it possible to punish aggressive fullbacks in game because for me it seems to be rare either the goalkeeper or the defenders can see a winger making a run and whether the pass is accurate to find the forwards. The AI seems to flawless in either punishing high defensive lines, slow defenders and aggressive wingbacks
  5. Almost the same ideas in this thread as you have a look although with your idea you have to be weary of opp. counter attacks and bad tackles
  6. Hi, I really like this topic is it possible that this article available with pictures.
  7. Counter pressing tells everyone to press after you have lost the ball which is a command only as a team instruction, the intensity at which the team presses is determined by pressing intensity (team instruction). If you see in a game that someone that is pressing is leaving too many gaps and you want them to protect a certain area then you change their pressing intensity (player instruction). Tackle hard: as a team instruction asks everyone to tackle hard, as an opposition instruction asks to specifically tackle said opponent, as a player instruction asks the player to tackle hard. No they don't work the same counter pressing and asking a player to close down are two different thing however asking a player to close down more and counter press will make them press harder they can leave a lot of gaps which makes it easy to bypass for the opponent considering you have midfielders and forwards doing it. On top off that players will miss a lot of their tackles or make dangerous ones.
  8. Just understand that out of all the attacking roles in AM positions and the CF position he's not much of a goalscorer and the role behaves more like a support role than an attacking role. Of course it doesn't mean I'm saying it's a support role however it easier to treat it as such. If you want him to score more often you need to create space you can use certain roles to create space or your formation could be start out more deep such as 4231DM or 3412DM. Also think about what will happen to your tactic if your trequartista is marked out of the game so you need to have more than one option of attack if things break down. Also there is this which helps... it is explained much more better than me and the same advice can work in FM22
  9. I have a youth player who "gets into opposition area" and "gets further forward" and is very weak physically (no balance no general speed or power) but also has very nice technical and mental stats so on the pitch he knows what he what's to do but doesn't have strength to do it. The traits make him more of an enigma as to how he should be played as with lack of balance and agility he could be easily dispossessed and has no tackling ability either. An enganche?
  10. I have tried that before (but with different roles and instructions and it's not strikerless.) in defence they kind of defended the same area as apposed to two separate deep pressing zones so the opposition fullback had a lot more time to cross from deep. Attack was alright. The thing is in your system you plan to use a treq on the same side as your double wingback so the wingback will have extra work and the opposition can easily overload the flank your wingback and treq are protecting in addition you plan to high press so they most likely wait for you to come forward and then direct counter. But since you got good results you can continue with your tactic just be aware
