I’ll give that a go but I’m sceptical like you are. You would think under that logic, New Caledonians would have to be treated as EU hence I think the only solution is take out the rule entirely. Equally interestingly in my test simulations all the “New Caledonian regens” are practically just French with New Caledonian nationality. Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands who unlike New Caledonia, are fully independent hence don’t have this issue. Wonder given this that the core issue is somewhat down to how France and it’s territories are linked in the code which is then confusing it when trying to apply that agreement to the nations themselves?

Essentially whenever you play as one of the French overseas territories and go into the French cup, as New Caledonia for example, it treats all your New Caledonian players as non-EU hence you are forced to play with grey players. Example I raised a few months ago here: I have tried downloading a French database and taking that rule out however, it didn’t seem to work. I have a feeling this has been hard coded. Unless I can just “overwrite it” so it allows 99 non-EU players or something? I’m trying to avoid resorting to adding New Caledonia to the EU, hence my eagerness to find a way around.

I’m sure this is an easy fix, but anyone starting a new save will see the Isle of Man go under Qatar (default). Not sure if a database fault or it has been broken with the mini update. Will try without any editor data later on just in case. Update- this was due to TMC’s Qatar league file. You can’t have both files loaded at the same time unfortunately.

Right think I found the issue, the loaded editor leagues needed this . This does not appear to be 100% working as sometimes it takes the current top two in Solomon Islands and Tahiti so will have to play around with it.

The prize money for the Club World Cup seems to be working in a way that provides an incentive to win each game, albeit not exactly as listed. I’d be happy to try a long term save with that. 7th - $500k 6th - $500k for losing Quarters + $1m 5th - $500k + $1.5m 4th - $1m for losing Semis + $2m 3rd- $1m + $2.5m 2nd - $1.5m for reaching final + $4m 1st- $1.5m + $5m I’m going to try again for the Oceania Champions League. I highly suspect this might be down to me mixing and matching different editor files so I’m going to make sure it has the same qualification logic in each country as your New Zealand file and we’ll see what happens.

I am trying to get the Oceania Champions League and Fifa club World Cup file to work together. The Oceania champions league has been recreated with the original version removed because it had some glitches. Now the Fifa club World Cup obviously isn’t going to pick the winner of that competition as in the database’s eyes that competition does not exist. Do I need to merge the files?

Sorry to be a pain, I’ve found another glitch which I’m looking to try fix this one myself but thought I’d raise it here too so other people don’t run into the same thing like I did. The glitch is in the Oceania champions league file- appears Papua New Guinean teams are not getting allocated a group after the first season, instead everyone in the qualifying is advancing. I suspect putting the maximum amount of teams advancing from the qualifying might fix it, but not been able to test this idea yet.

Decided to do a save in Oceania as wanted to do something a bit more laid back. Managing Hekari United in Papua New Guinea, in the quest to try dethrone New Zealand as the dominant country in Oceania. First season was all about building the foundations which I achieved thanks to some incredible free agents being offered to me for pennies (including a 37 year old Asamoah Gyan who is still very good in this continent) and this magnificent regen who came through on the first day of the save. I’m determined to try build the team around him and make him the most successful Papua New Guinean of all time. Walked the league, currently in the semi finals of the domestic cup and a promising youth intake with 5 stars too. The Champions League almost went as well. I managed to get out of a tough group with Auckland in (who went out in the groups themselves), beat the other New Zealand side in the semi final and set up an all PNG final with Lae City. Unfortunately they got the winning goal in the final in extra time. I hope it’s more just a learning curve than a missed opportunity. For some reason that final hurt more than most of my final defeats, but I guess that makes the wins so sweet. A lot of the “weaker” players that I’d like to get rid of are still contracted until 2024 so can’t change the side too much until then, but will definitely be going straight towards the American intakes as soon as I can!

Thanks for this mate, only thing I noticed is that the prize money looks a bit weird as you get $1m for losing fifth round playoffs but nothing if you win - is this an editor bug?

Just noticed I didn't put a semi final in, have now corrected it but still doesn't work

Basically trying to stop the Club World Cup changes from happening and for it to take place in February. Have uploaded the file here if it easier but I can't see a reason for why it wouldn't be scheduled. Does anyone have any ideas? CWC Revamped.fmf
