  1. Agree. For all the annoyance I find with player interaction the ME alone has me enjoying this release more than I have for years. Pleasing as you mention to see rivals snapping up players I normally would, in fact its not just big spending rivals, my scouts pick up young players that I then want to sign and see another smaller club has already snapped them up.
  2. Please fix this. Didnt think much of it at the time but rested Important Player Kulusevski for the opening game due to him not being match fit and needing a rest after the world cup. Told him plenty of football to be played, but no he wont accept that. Now 4 games in his morale has plummeted so Im not gonna play him as his training effort has dropped and when he was given a start in the next game his performance was woeful, and will probably end up having to sell him. Under no circumstances should any player get that upset over a single game at the start of the season, and certainly not bother when I do play him as soon as he is fit.
  3. Well I never, truly surprised that playing as Man City makes the game easy!
  4. What's wrong with improving the graphics? Our entire work culminates in matches themselves, so it can only be a good thing that work continues on both improving the match engine itself, and bringing a (hopefully) more realistic presentation of this. Its certainly not a case of SI "desiring to be FIFA" , as from both what they have said regarding this and seeing match engine improvements presentation is not the only reason for making this change. Personally I'm very hopeful for next year, Im aware of this releases flaws but finding 24 hugely enjoyable despite them, much of that is from the match engine improvements such as player movement meaning we can mix roles we could never do before due to this such as wingers and wingbacks, particularly with little tweaks such as wingers being able to now cut inside, or choose which way they go.
  5. Do agree with this, think its more in the players they select for certain roles. If you put it back to normal you'll see why with the attributes it weights for the various roles for example for counters from corners it will choose pacy players, so if you have a fast DM or Wingback then the AI will put him up top over a slightly slower striker. It has some logic in it once you look into it but would be good if the AI set piece coach also considered players roles when setting up counters and never put defensive or midfield players up on the halfway line over attacking players as I can get here with Udogie: Seems that pace overrules dribbling and finishing, and that my strikers who are taller than Maddison end up staying back, Udogie with this lineup stays back as he is tall: Something that is new and will likely improve with feedback Id hope. Perhaps if he could assign by roles first then attributes then we'd get a better setup.
  6. So logically once we have changed a week to a custom schedule, the game then defaults changed weeks to the Custom Schedules list if we need to change it. And its not awful that for unchanged weeks the view defaults to the pre-set ones, but would be a nice little quality of life improvement if the game would either let us choose the default list shown, or just default to the last schedules list displayed / used. Or better still could we just tell the game what schedules we need to use for certain scenarios and it will apply them for us, EG: Use Schedule X for weeks with a game on Wed and Sunday.
  7. So glad this is on the next updates notes as he is driving me crazy!! Very high is injury risk although sure you guys know! As you might have noticed I've dropped his playing time down to match the way the game thinks his game time is but still unhappy. Note to you Star Players playing time is not EVERY game in real life due to squad rotation at successful teams, even more so in FM due to how player condition forces us to rotate even more than real life.
  8. Re: Updates to player interactions Thank you so much! I love my players in the Match Engine which is a delight but by god do they annoy me the rest of the week!
  9. Just to add, I have players with "rst" performing badly who refuse to be rested, and if I do their morale hits rock bottom when 2 weeks ago they were very happy. Something needs to be fixed either way, tone down the jaded effects or stop players acting like this.
  10. This is quite ridiculous- have this player complaining, so as he is getting the playing time I just agree when he complains then he refuses and says he wants to leave! League games played: Him: Thing is due to the games fitness approach I HAVE to rotate him slightly otherwise risk injuries: Please fix this!
  11. Wish something would be done about how powerful home advantage is in 2 legged competitions. Its quite ridiculous how its not a concern that I can lose the 1st away leg by 3 goals and feel comfortable that I can easily and consistently turn it around.
  12. Good idea. One thing Id like to see is either a new role or IWB/auto so we can set Inverted Wingbacks to cross more or a least not cross less often. Yes. I could play them as CWBs but I lose the build-up portion of them stepping into midfield. Otherwise when trying to setup ala Ange's Spurs its possible with the new movement of wingers being able to cut inside to get players like Porro into the positions we see him in but not to get them to cross on a consistent basis.
  13. Agree, sorry forgot to show that not all the teams I played didnt all go deep in the cups, and most had free midweeks leading up to the last week, surely one of those fixtures could have been slotted into a midweek earlier? Just seems the game doensnt proactively try and prevent this end of season run of games when it has opportunities leading up to it. I had just 3 games in March: When others had league games on 21st, so odd that one of mine couldnt be moved there as it was fa cup semi-final weekend so only 4 teams are involved: It never really used to be an issue until the new CL format came in last season. Sadly cant see when the fixtures were rearranged so next season will see if when they are re-arranged if there are potentially better places to place the rearranged games. Still regardless havent enjoyed a release as much as this for quite some time.
  14. Seriously.... His honours, sure the real life Maddison wouldnt be complaining about something so trivial: I only had to accept the promise as I know telling him I wont would destroy morale. Still loving FM24, but wish players could see the bigger picture!
  15. Could someone at SI please play a season with the new champions league format and see the utter mess the fixture calculator gets into? I didnt even go deep into domestic cups: And generally will get this kind of mess at the end of the season without fail: Fixture scheduling was an issue last year so disappointing that if anything its got worse.
  16. Same with Spurs. I've had the stadium expanded but am winning league titles and champions leagues and see this: Average attendance is 72000, so a drop of 20000 below capacity is ridiculous. Might be because we'd already won the league, but its really not reflective of real life, wasn't an issue in FM23.
  17. Depends who your team and players are! Would suspect many are doing this with already top tier sides, or at least its useful to know if this OP success is from playing as Man City, or dominating with Luton Town.
  18. Do find thought that I can see when an opponent using it in that Im not seeing them pressing harder, but that my passing goes to pot in terms of short passes or players running away from the ball. Its effect is fine logically but the way the ME displays it isn't so good. Not game breaking but its a bit FIFA in that the effect is seen from my players rather than observing what the opposing team is doing.
  19. Came in for this so glad its known. What would be neat is if the pass back to the taker is actually due to the taker making a run into the area along the line as Maddison did with Spurs, as this would likely engage defenders preventing the offside too, or a sharp defence would step up. Would be a much more logical move than simply passing back to the corner flag, and make the offside more palpable if the defence are actually stepping up.
  20. Lots of annoying offsides from short corners. Taker to edge of box, pass back to taker who is offside. Still really enjoying it though.
  21. Also many think finishing alone is the be all and end all, Sons been fine for me as a striker. Maddison is the one I think needs a bit of work as believe he was still good for Leicester last season. But hey this is when the editor is worth getting for those who dont agree with player attributes, just it takes some self-discipline to stick with a point here or there! I always get it simply to remove Sons "likes ball into feet" trait as that ruins him. Take that away and he's more like the player we see.
  22. Expect Spurs to be marked down this season after the last. Saying as a Spurs fan, Maddison is rated low too as it will reflect their last years sides performances. Eric Dier is still rated far better than he is though!
  23. Realise why you wouldnt, but tbh I just tell them to f**k off as always seems to be my fringe or young players nagging. Also worth save scumming here, as sometimes you will find if you're established and successful that they will back down.
