[[FM21] Schalke 04]

Long time lurker, first time trying this, I will copy some of format from the popular posters in this forum.

 I wanted to right some wrongs of the real life version because at the moment they are 24 games without a win, rooted to the foot of the table and not looking likely to get much higher anytime soon, the media is already asking if they will each the 31 games record of no wins and I want to turn this ship around. The last few years have been a struggle for Schalke on and off the pitch,  right now they are in huge financial debt and FM has them listed with a 160 million pound loan of which they are currently paying 2 million off per month. They also have made some rather interesting transfers, manager moves and in general multiple errors year after year. Another painful issue that is not helping is seeing their greatest rivals Dortmund doing so well and winning titles, signing exciting young superstars and playing nice football as well.

A quick look around the internet and you see these news articles. This is truly a club in crisis and on the verge of a civil war. I jumped into a few fan forums and the general mood is "When we get relegated" and "The worst team in Bundesliga history"  etc etc

Its surprising but Schalke are yet to win a single Bundesliga title and instead have finished 2nd on 7 occasions and this is surely unacceptable for a club of this size as the 3rd biggest in the country and now adding some salt into those wounds is that FM now think Schalke is also not very good anymore, they have them ranked as finishing 17th from 18 teams for this season.

One of the major fundamental problems I have seen with Schalke is their inability to hold onto their best players. I found this online picture from a 2019 article, it lists all active former Schalke players still playing for other teams, most of these are actually players from their famous youth system and while my aim is not to use Schalke youth only, its simply to show the potential of this massive club!

This is a high quality first 11 that could likely win the Champions League

- fixed release day update bugs (tactics screen, player overview scaling)
- added suitability pies to tactic screen
- added past meetings panel to tactic screen (visible on high-res)
- added ribbon navigation in preferences
- removed remaining violet contrast boxes
- removed pointless news item club logo (staff photos are a bit larger now)
- fixtures are darker now (this is fixed by SI globally)
- FM21 flags instead of old ones in language change menu
- some minor tweaks

This is not the final release, I just did what I was able to for today.
Any other issue which was reported here or at FM Scout I'm still going to investigate, but I need more time.

@GOODNAME- tactic screen names are now fixed. I added suitability pies as well.
@alian62  @OlivierL - past meeting are included now.
@SimpleFM - sizing issue should be resolved.
@<<Macaco-RJ88>> - I will try to get rid of purple accents in next release, I need more time to investigate the files.
@Sir Jake - those moved shirts are apparently by design, my OCD tingles as well, but I need more time to pinpoint guilty party. SI might tweak it as well by their own (History's Best Eleven is even more broken).
@kandersson - I can see dark and light skins hidden in game files, but they are disabled on purpose. They might be not ready yet. Nothing special though.

Firstly, thanks very much for this. Killing that stupid default skin has been amazing, what were they thinking?

A couple of issues I have seen;

• Names missing from tactics screen
• sizing issue on this screen, it wipes out the under 21s caps and stats

 

[How would you use this lad?]

A Pressing Forward, his off the ball and physical is perfect. I do like that his really tall as well,  a nice TM might work
