FC Novokuznetsk - Season 2039/40 Review

    Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances

We are slowly improving, and this season kept that going. As we did last season, we avoided the relegation playoff, and have at least one more season here. I do hope we can start slowly pushing up the table in the future. The finances are just about keeping about even throughout the season, so I don't think I can improve much more without going into the red. So a slow push up the table is really needed to take the next step.

In the Kubok Rossii we won our group ahead of Neftekhimki and Irtysh Omsk, then we beat Akhmat before losing to Krasnodar in the quarter final.

    Youth

    Another good preview for us.

    A good intake once again.

Yegor Peukhov 40b is a talented player, and especially his professional personality and high determination should come in handy.

They finished 16th in the Russian U21 Division.

    U18s:

In the RPD U18 Cup they finished 2nd in their group and qualified. However, they lost against Krylya Sovetov U18s in the quarter final.

Nothing new, but another Turkmenistani is nice.

  2. I think you can ask for it, but Iceland have some special rules for youth teams. The reason is because a lot of the top teams share youth teams with others! So if you look at your affiliate teams then you could have a youth team there. So based on that I'm not sure if you can have your own, even if you in general can ask for youth/reserve teams in the game if the team doesn't have them.

Typical that I create an account to post this question, and I decided to make a save and give my board an ultimatum just to see if it would work and it did!

I had no Junior coaching or youth intake, which I understand is why I was getting no youth intake, but I was just wondering at what point or what I needed to do for my board to grant me a youth intake as they had refused every request so far.

My junior coaching now says "basic academy coaching" and my youth recruitment now says "limited youth recruitment". Got to start somewhere though.

Well, now you, at the very least, will get an intake at the next appropriate time. Usually, you'll get a preview in Nov-Dec and the actual intake sometime from late Feb to early Apr sometime. Good luck!

FC Novokuznetsk - Season 2037/38 Review

    Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances

We stayed up once more, but it was through the playoffs once again. We are still very far from being very competitive for a top position, but we are slowly improving. Now that we have started making money, I'm slowly getting improvements approved, so we are clearly moving forward as a club. In the end I'm happy with a 13th place, and after we beat Baltika Kaliningrad in the playoffs we were secured at least another season here.

In the Kubok Rossii we started in the 4th round group stage where we won our group ahead of Volgar Astrakhan and Murom to go trough. Then we lost to Dynamo Moscow in the 5th round.

    Youth

Another very good preview for us.

A very good intake, so it seems like the improvements are really having an effect.

Vladimir Ivanov 38a is a very talented defender and will be part of the main squad from the outset.

    U21s:

They finished rock bottom in the Russian U21 Division.

    U18s:

In the RPD U18 Cup they qualified from their group. Then went all the way to the final, but unfortunately, they lost it to finish as runners up.

    Statistics:

    No new countries this season.

However, if you manage a team in the league above and get relegated, can you carry on? I am about to start a journeyman save at Fløya(because i like the idea of starting amateur with no coaching badge), and based on season previews relegation is a real possibility.

Yes, you should be able to play there if you are relegated into it.

So if he sends me the file do I have put it in a special folder or something for it to work?

If he transfer the file directly to you and you put it in together with your other save files, then you should be able to load it up. Does that work for you?

For a small Club in a lower league "Other" can be ultimate ruin.

I for one stopped doing language courses when i found out one such course is 15k to 50k and my whole yearly budget is maybe 100k to 200k until i reach Tier 3 in germany.

Adminisitration starts somewhere beyond a debt of 300k and 5 of the more expensive language courses can easily make you go broke.

Well, I'm playing a youth-only save, so I didn't send anyone on any of those courses, but still had massive costs.

If Administration starts at £300k, then I got really lucky, at the worst we had about £4m in loan debt and were about £1.5m in the red balance with no more facilities to sell and with several messages of potential administration!

FC Novokuznetsk - Season 2036/37 Review

Wow, that was a tough season! 6 league wins in a season will do something to you, and it's not pretty. The main thing is that we did survive, but only barely. We were in a group of 4 teams fighting to avoid the last two positions and rather stay in the two above that put us into the playoffs against teams from the 2nd tier. In the end we did it and finished in 13th place and had to save our skin in the playoff. We just about had enough about us to beat out Chertanovo over two legs and stay up.

We endured some major beatings from the top teams though, including a 0-7 home defeat to Krasnodar and the same result away against Dynamo Moscow! So we are far away from competing with the big boys here. We did make some money from this so I got a few improvements approved, and that's something I've not been able to get for many years now.

In the Kubok Rossii we started in the 4th round group stage where we finished 2nd behind Chertanovo and ahead of Anji, but we still got knocked out.

    Youth

Looks good, but with all the poor intakes lately, I don't expect much.

    7WO424w.png

Wow, an actually good intake with a couple of talented players!

    Mmi2dBz.png

Amazing name, Boris Mbock 37n, and also quite a good player!

    NhvSWWv.png

    U21s:

They finally joined a league! They struggled about as much as the main team did, and finished 14th in the Russian U21 Division.

    U18s:

After getting promoted, the U18s no longer have a league to play in for some reason. But they do have a cup! In the RPD U18 Cup they won their group, but lost to CSKA Moscow U18s in the quarter final.

    Statistics:

    Spoiler

A few new countries now. Tajikistan and Latvia added this time around. Of the bordering countries I think we are only missing Norway, Estonia, Poland (though the Kaliningrad exclave), Mongolia and North Korea (I don't count Japan as bordering even though there's only about 42 kilometers from the south of Sakhalin to the north of Hokkaido, as well as the border disputes around the Kuril Islands) . So we are getting there!

  9. For anyone who wanted to see how bad I could get, I have to inform you that after the promotion, we've started to actually make money so the finances are improving now. Still have to pay off a few million in debt, but we can maintain it now, and the projection are looking good. So great for my game, but bad for the interest in this thread.
