  1. IFK Lidingö FK Season 5 | 2028 Tier 2 | Superettan Obos Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Facilities | Manager Profile | Tactic Unbelievable! What a season this was!! I never thought dat we were good enough to play for promotion this fast. But we played really, really good football this season. And until the last day we played for the league title! If we didn't play 0-0 in our last game against Degerfors IF, we would even became champions. But we finished 3rd instead, and qualified for Promotion playoffs. Here we met Falkenbergs IF, the nr.14 of the Allesvenskan. At home we won 4-0! So promotion was already almost there. But in the away game we had a really tough game. We lost 3-1. But it was enough! Enough to gain promotion to the highest level of Sweden: Allesvenskan!! Unbelievable. I've played many times in Sweden, but this is the first time for me that I'm promoted to the highest division. Best players this season were my fantastic goalkeeper Erick Rodríguez 25a, topscorer Sam Jurelius 25c and King of the Assists Daniel Kenne 25d. Also a big shoutout to Kjell Rune Anfindsen 27d, our Norwegian youngster, who played a great first season. He's the replacement for Johan Tranberg 25i, who left the club. BK Häcken bought him for €1.1M, a BIG transfer for us. Also striker Tobias Kembel 25b left the club for a lot of money. IFK Göteborg bought him for €750k. In both transfers the board decided to sell. I rejected all the offers, but in the end the board decided to accept those kind of bids. I can imagine, but I was very unhappy with it because they were both very important players for us. In the Cup we played in the Group Phase, we qualified for that last season. We didn't qualify for the next round, but we won against Allesvenskan-side IF Brommapojkarna. This season we won in the Second Round against Alnö FF. After the season I was finally able to upgrade Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment again, for the first time in two (or three?) years time. Youth preview & intake The preview and the actual intake were not very good this season. The best player in the preview was only a C-player, while the description was only a "good intake". The actual intake was also mwah. We got 3 Elite Players, but none of them look really impressing. So I'm not really sure about this intake. U19 Our U19 team had a very good debut season in the Junior Allsvenskan U-19, with a 6th place. Well done!
  2. Well done, @the_hdk! Nice progress! And you’ve got quite a nice talent there with El Arabi!
  3. Well done Good luck next season! And nice to see a screenshot of the real match from last Monday. I’m a big SC Cambuur-fan in real life, so I had a beautiful evening
  4. Wow, great job again, Wozzie! What a beautiful skin
  5. My Assistant Manager Maarten Stekelenburg just completed his National A Licence, and now you can see where he developed his skills. Really nice feature!
  6. IFK Lidingö FK Season 4 | 2027 Tier 2 | Superettan Obos Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Facilities | Manager Profile | Tactic Again a very good season for us! Almost the same as last season. We started bad, but ended up very well with a 7th place. I'm very happy with the fact that we are good enough to avoid relegation, but aren't ready for promotion. And that's good for now. Some young players are now really important players for us. I'll highlight some of them. Tobias Kembel 25b was our topscorer with 14 goals this season. David Röse 25h, Johan Tranberg 25i and Sam Jurelius 25c also played a big part in our success. They are developing really well. There is interest from bigger clubs for all of them. In the Cup we won in the Second Round, but I'm still waiting for the next round to be played. Don't know exactly when that will be. U19 team Our U19 team had a great season, and are promoted to the highest youth level: Allesvanskan. Youth preview & intake For the first team in this save we had a terrible preview. We've got a new HoYD: Christian Grindheim. A well known player, at least for me, as he has played in The Netherlands for sc Heerenveen. Our previous HoYD refused to sign a new deal. But I'm happy with Christian, as he looks like a very good Head of Youth Development. But the preview didn't look good. The intake itself was okay. We got three Elite Talents. All of the best talents from this intake are attacking players. I hope we will get some more defensive players next season. I'll highlight the best 4 talents. And it's nice to see some more (2nd) nationalities in this intake
  7. That's right indeed. You can basically pick a team from the 4th tier, and save scum until it gets promoted. But that can cost some time. You can also just holiday one season and pick a team that's promoted to the 3rd tier.
  8. Well done, @XaW! And what a nice player, Bratseh 26a! Good luck next season in the Eliteserien
  9. No, it's a fantastic facepack. They release a new facepack update quite often. You can use it with NewGan Manager, so it's very easy to use.
  10. I'm using the facepacks from "View From The Touchline".
  11. IFK Lidingö FK Season 3 | 2026 Tier 2 | Superettan Obos Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Facilities | Manager Profile | Tactic What a good season it was! Our first season at this level. It started dramatically, with 4 losses in a row. That was the moment I decided to go back to my old tactic, although I tweaked it a bit. And that worked! We played some really good matches, won quite a lot(14 out of 30) and finished with a 7th place in the league. A fantastic start in this league! In the Cup we lost in the Second Round against Falkenbergs FF. And something nice is that we won both matches against GIF Sundsvall, the champion of the league. Our biggest loss this season was 0-6 at home against IFK Värnamo. Our best player from the last two seasons, striker Victor Söderström, didn't play very much this season. He started in the first team at the beginning of the season, but wasn't scoring. So I decided to give a young talent some playing time, and he did very well. Söderström's time at our club will come to an end soon, as I put him on the transfer list. I've got now more then enough youngsters who are better then him. We received a nice amount of money at the end of the season, although it was not enough to get us out of the red. U19 Our U19 had a good season, finishing 4th. Maybe it's possible to promote next season to the highest youth level of Sweden. Youth Development Some of our youngsters are developing really well. And most of them are wanted by bigger Swedish clubs. We are now playing with 7 Academy players in our starting XI! I'll show the development of them. GK Erick Rodríguez 25a DC Ebrima Bah 25f DC Erik Sinani 24e SC David Röse 25h SC Tobias Kembel 25b Youth intake As posted before; the preview was a promising one. The actual intake gave us lots of Elite Talents! And I'm most happy with the talented goalkeeper. Now we have two talented GK's! I'll show the most promising talents from this intake.
  12. Well, I just FM'ed GIF Sundsvall I think is probably the first time I ever experienced such a match. They were way stronger, chance after chance. But we won the match, against the current nr. 1 of the league
  13. IFK Lidingö FK Youth intake preview season 3 (2026) Our third season, and so our third youth intake preview. We've got a new HoYD: Demba Traoré. It looks like another good intake. I really hope we will get a new good goalkeeper. We now got 2 GK's. One of them is not good enough, but the lad is constantly demanding first team football. So I want to get rid of him. My performances with IFK Lidingö are also picked up in my home country The Netherlands. Three clubs invited me for a job interview on the same day. And last but not least: our start in Tier 2, Superettan Obos, was a good one. We lost the first 4 matches, but then finally won our first match against IK Brage. And as you can see, we won our last 3 matches before the Summer Stop (World Cup 2026). So it's a very good start of the season, better then expected. There is still a lot of football to be played, but I'm happy with this start.
  14. What a fantastic read, well done. Will following your adventure for sure!
  15. IFK Lidingö FK Season 2 | 2025 Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Facilities | Manager Profile | Tactic What a season, again! Back to back promotion!!! After a fantastic battle with Täby FK, we managed to finish 1st in the League. A couple of games before the end of the season, we lost 1-2 at home against Täby. They were 3 points ahead at that moment, so I thought it was over. But it wasn't! One match before the end of the season we won away at Sandvikens IF with 1-2, while Täby lost 4-0 against Dalkurd FF. So we both had 60 points, with just one game to play. We had a way better goal difference (+34 for us, and +18 for Täby), so we were 1st. We only had to win our last match, at home against nr. 7 FC Stockholm. And that's what we did! We won 3-2, while Täby FK even lost their last match with 3-2 against Motala AIF. So we won the league with 3 points clear!! And maybe the best news is: we are turning Professional!! Best player this season was, again, Victor Söderström. He scored 31 goals in 30 matches, which is also a new League Record. But also Teo Brenner Toris, Hugo Lemne and Linus Kågström were in great form. Youth preview and intake The Youth Intake Preview was, again, a very promising one. The same as last season. And the actual intake was also a very, very good one! We've got 12 Elite Talents, and some of them are really talented. The GK will go directly to my first team. He is way better then our current GK(from last season's intake). I don't know where these good intakes come from, as our current HoYD Bror Liw is not a good one. But I also couldn't find a better one. Hopefully now we turned Professional I can find a better HoYD. Upgrades I decided to ask for Training Facilities upgrade, not knowing it would cost us €1M. But I'm happy with the upgrade. Because of this we were not able to upgrade any other facilities. Next season will be very, very tough. The Superettan(Tier 2) is way stronger then this league, with lots of great clubs in it. The first season will be very difficult. In FM23 I had a great run with Tyreso FF, bit of the same as now with Lidingo FK, with 2 straight promotions. But the Superettan was just too strong, as we finished last and the board decided to fire me. So I really hope that this won't happen again. Next season will be all about surviving. So I'll probably make a brand new tactic, as my current tactic with 3 strikers is a bit too much.
  16. I had the same problem (as I also play with Lidingö ). You cannot offer a contract to a grey player. So you will have to play with a grey player on goal, until you'll get a GK with your next youth intake.
  17. Good luck! Same club as me. Let’s see how far we can get this club
  18. Hopefully I'm not jinxing it now, but take a look at our pre-season and our first 3 matches of the new season! Unbelievable. It's good fun to be at this club right now! We are scoring goals, goals, goals. The match engine of FM24 is absolutely great and a real joy to watch sometimes.
  19. IFK Lidingö FK Season 1 | 2024 Finances | Transfers | Club Overview | Manager Profile | Tactic Well, that was a very good season! We only lost one league game, we scored by far the most goals, and so we managed to win the league with 5 points clear. Most of the season I had to play with a grey player on goal. So we not only scored lots of goals, we also conceded a lot. We had scores like 6-6, 6-4, 5-3 and 5-4. So it was a lots of fun this season! Topscorer was Victor Söderström, our big man up front, who scored 24 goals in 26 matches. Upgrades Because of our healthy financial situation I was able to upgrade Junior Coaching no less then 3 times! So it's now labelled as Excellent. The same can be said about Youth Recruitment. I was able to upgrade it twice, and it is now labelled as Above Average. And last but not least, my coaching badges. The board was willing to let me study for National C, National B and National A Licence. I'm still studying for National A, so within the next couple of months I can hopefully start studying for the next licence. Youth intake As posted before, our youth intake preview was very promising. The intake itself was spectaculair, with 16 Elite Talents! So all of our players are labelled als Elite Talents. Never had that before! We got one GK, and after he signed his contract I put him in our First XI right away. So he already played 5 matches this season. I also promoted some other talents to our first squad, as some of them are really talented compared to our current players. Oh, and it's a bit weird that it's a Golden Generation with 16 Elite Talents, but the graphic on the right shows that it's a poor intake. That must be a bug, me thinks.
  20. Always happy to get a youth intake preview like this
  21. I just played my first league game of the season against Rinkeby United. Hopefully you will perform better with them!
  22. Yeah, I can also highly recommend FM Kit Creator. I'm using their FC'12 style kits, and also the paid version of the website. But even with the free version you can make beautiful kits.
  23. What a great story! As a fellow Dutchman I really like this background story. Nice to see an orange shirt too. And I also like that you are using a 4-3-3 formation, although a 3-4-3 would be better as Cruijff mainly played in this formation. Great first season! Good luck in J2!
  24. I always try to upgrade Junior Coaching as soon as possible, as well as Youth Recruitment. Junior Coaching is very important for youth intakes, and the board is normally willing to upgrade it quite often. The Youth Facilities and Training Facilities are quite expensive, so I'll try to wait with those upgrades until I've got more money. But I always prefer Youth Facilities over Training Facilities.
