Welcome You can always join this challenge You do not need to play in non playable leagues. The basic rule is that you start in the lowest division of that specific country. You'll holiday for one season, until 'reset date', and pick a club that's promoted to the lowest division. Reymersholms IK Season review Season 1| 2023 League table | Finances | Facilities | Transfers |Youth intake| Tactic | Affiliated Clubs| Club overview | Manager Profile Yesterday I posted about our league finish, and that we qualified for the Promotion Playoffs. Today I played the Playoff games. And we managed to even win the playoffs! So we are promoted to Tier 3: Ettan Fotboll! We first won the match against IFK Haninga, away, with 2-1. Then we played 2-2 at home against IFK Lulea, and that was enough to play the Playoff Final against Varbergs GIF. And we won botch matches against them! Away we won 3-2, and at home we won 3-1. Even without our main striker Fauzi Adam. I had to play with Benjamin Oyal, who is actually a terrible striker. But he managed to score 2 goals! So we are promoted to Tier 3! We really have to thank Fauzi Adam, our striker, who scored 26 goals this season. But also Melker Bergqvist was very important for us. I retrained him as a Shadow Striker, and he performed really well with 10 goals and 10 assists in total. The board was also willing to upgrade the Junior Coaching budget and Youth Recruitment. Youth intake The preview was very promising, with 4 A's. But what can I expect on this level, and with such poor facilities? Not mutch. The intake itself was a golden generation, with two Elite Talents. Not that they are very talented, but still. I'm just very happy that I finally have some more options. Some of these guys will go directly to our first team squad. For the Newgen-faces I tried the DF11 Newgen facepack with a green shirt. I normally never use DF11 facepacks, but I'll try them for my newgens.

We did it! We won against IK Franke with 2-0, and finished 2nd in the league!! We qualified for the Playoffs, and that's some sort of group stage. We face some other 4th Tier League teams who also finished 2nd in their leagues. A really nice bonus!

Wow, check this. With only one game left to play, we can still qualify for the promotion play-offs. We are 2 points behind IK Franke. And what is the last game of the season? That's right: we face IK Franke at home So if we win that match, we are qualified for the promotion play-offs! That would be terrific. But either way, this was a very good first season for us. If we don't win, I can build from this and hopefully with the youth intake somewhere in the next month, our squad is good enough to gain promotion next season. But first: let's play the match against IK Franke.

Finally promoted!!

Reymersholms IK Well, here I am; back in Sweden. I had a short spell at Tyreso FF, in the early days of FM23. But I was just promoted way too soon to the 2nd Tier, after two promotions in three years time. But Sweden is a very cool place to manage, so I'll just give it another go. I'll chose Reymersholms IK out of the promoted clubs. The club is located in Stockholm, on an island called Södermalm in the center of the city. It sounds like a very cool place to me! Their ground is called Zinkendamms IP, and it's also used for a sport called Bandy. So here we go! I quickly made some kits, based on their real-life kits. We only have 15 players, and most of them are central defenders. So it will be a struggle. The board wants me to achieve a mid-table finish, so that will be the aim.

Probably yes. We had a fantastic first season in 3. Liga. But the 2. Bundesliga is something else in terms of quality. We also had some long-term injuries, so I had to play with some 16-year old newgens who were nowhere ready for first team football. So we promoted too early, but it was also some bad luck. In the last months of the season the morale of the squad was so low, that it became impossible to turn things around.

1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Well, that's already the end of my save at Lok Leipzig. In my second season, our first in 2. Bundesliga, I just couldn't get them winning games. We started well, with some nice wins against St. Pauli(who finished 2nd and got promoted to the Bundesliga) and Hansa Rostock. But after the match against Rostock we only managed to win 2 games, and lost almost all the other matches. After our win against Karlsruhe we only managed to get just two points, and lost all the other matches. So we relegated, and the board decided to sack me after the season. They asked me what the reason for those poor results were. I said that is was due some serious injuries, but they disagreed and sacked me. Pfff. It's not my first sack at Lok Leipzig. I really want to succeed with this club, but I can't get it working. I don't know what my next destination will be. Maybe I'll do a Journeyman-save for a little while.

We finished 2nd, and that's a direct promotion spot! So next season, we'll play in the 2. Bundesliga! I'm very happy that we managed to get promoted this soon. We don't have any money to upgrade our facilities. The board won't even let me start learning for a coaching badge... But in the 2. Bundesliga you'll receive a lot of money after the season. So I'll have to wait for one more year, but then we can finally start upgrading. Our board decided to upgrade our stadium with 550 seats. Our best players this season were striker and topscorer Djamal Ziane (he scored 23 goals and became topscorer of the 3. Liga), defenders Luca Sirch & Leon Heynke, midfielder Farid Abderrahmane, wingers Osman Atilgan & Bogdan Rangelov and goalkeeper İsa Doğan. Best youngster this season was 18-year old Oliver Bryks. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Well, here I am: back in Germany. I recently started some different saves, in Hungary(with DEAC) and two in Germany(this one, and one save with BFC Dynamo). But as I really want to complete the challenge with a former DDR-team, I chose Lok Leipzig. Mainly because Leipzig deserves to have a real football team in the Bundesliga to compete with plastic club RB Leipzig. But also I really like the history of this club. They won the Bundesliga 3 times long, long ago(1903, 1906 and 1913), won the Cup once in 1936 and also had some European success. In 1987 they lost the Final of the Cup Winners Cup against Ajax(1-0). In 1966 Lok Leipzig won the Intertoto Cup(4-1 against Norrköping), and in 1974 they were Semi-Finalist of the UEFA Cup. So a lot of history at this club. I want to bring this club glory again. This is my manager profile. I made these kits, based on some historical kits. I put the skyline of Leipzig on the away kit. The start of the season is very promising! I know the club and the players quite good, as it is not my first attempt with this club. I'm now 12 matches underway and still haven't lost.

I thought that someone completed the challenge in Serbia, although I don’t see a mention in the Hall of Fame. EDIT: Found it; it was @ludak who completed the challenge with OFK Beograd earlier this year. @darren1983 maybe you could add Ludak to the Hall of Fame?

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I’m also interested in an uncompleted country. I started a save in Germany (BFC Dynamo Berlin) as I really want to complete the challenge in Germany with a team from East Germany. But as Germany is already completed, I also started a save in Hungary. For the third time in FM23. This time with Debereceni EAC. I really like both saves, but I still haven’t decided which save I’m going for.

Yeah, I also don't know why a save sometimes just doesn't click. For me it's not only about how many people are doing a league. It's more about feeling a connection with the team, or with the league. And in my case, I just didn't feel it with Cray. Sometimes you know after a couple of games that it feels good. It clicks together. And sometimes you never get that feeling. I'll take my time choosing my next save.

Ah, that's a shame I don't know if I'll continue my save in England with Cray Wanderers. I just finished my first season and although the results where quite good, I didn't enjoy it. So I'll wait with my season update, and give it a little pause. Maybe I'll come back to the save soon, but I will also checking other options.

Already a league or club in mind?

Well, after many, many reloads the team I started a save with just before the Winter Update (Tiverton Town) never came up again. But there were some other very interesting teams. I was very happy when I saw this club promoted to the Vanarama National League South: Cray Wanderers FC According to their website and Wikipedia it's the oldest club from London, and even one of the oldest clubs in the world: So yeah, this looks like a fantastic challenge. Nice colours(I got a soft spot for yellow kits), nice badge, a London-based team so hopefully some nice newgens with lots of different nationalities. Let's go!

What a timing... I started a new save yesterday, but today the major winter update is out. As I only just started this save, I decided to start again, with the new database. I've got the Holiday-season running now, so let's hope this team will pop-up again. And if not, I'll just select another team.

Time for something new. I never tried this challenge in England before, so I'll give it a go. I reloaded a couple of times, just to see if some nice clubs came up. I chose Tiverton Town FC. Nice badge, nice kit colours. Let's see how far I can bring this club!
