  1. I would agree for long term saves, it’s broken, reasons already specified all over the forums. This is the first FM I haven’t played since it’s full release. Currently on holiday, where I thought I would spend my time playing the game whilst the missus was at work. How wrong was I! Guess I’ll have to await until Christmas (if they release the patch) for next opportunity to get a long term save going
  2. I’m not the only who thought the same. And please, do not try and suggest I’m arguing for the sake of arguing. I’m am only trying to understand some of the decisions that make no logical sense to me in regards to how the game gets released in such a state that long term saves cannot be played!
  3. Have you tried offering the player a more important role to see if it adjusts? Maybe that’s the limit for a backup player on your team. Check the finances screen, under wages. If memory serves me right, it will show you the average wage for each player depending on importance. Eg youth, backup, first team etc.
  4. So are you suggesting SI have a game they cannot bug fix before release date? That the set target is unrealistic? That the features promised were known to not working correctly, but instead of informing the community, they just let the community find it for themselves? SI have admitted communication on their part isn’t that great, but why? It’s not hard to inform your dedicated user base who buy the game every year, that there will be issues on release. To call it a love letter to the FM series shows there must be some disconnect between what is being advertised to what is actually being released.
  5. No evidence based on what? Something SI tried over 5 years ago? So it’s better to release a game with the same bugs being reported every year, features not working correctly and small fixes being delayed until the major patch drops? Then you wait for feedback from the public after a full release? I haven’t played the game since full release. I’ve had the game since early access. I’ve reported bugs during early access! it’s obvious the hardcore users will report feedback. I’ve seen quite a few users dedicate their time into giving feedback and evidence on a game released with a string of issues the alpha testers missed. The game has been in this sort of state for the last few releases, now I think that’s evidence it’s needs beta branch!
  6. You are one of the most helpful and informative posters on these forums and the community in general. You give up your free time to converse with the community. You even show users that some ‘bugs’ are actually game design. Ironic that it comes from someone not affiliated with SI. Many thanks for your dedication and knowledge!
  7. As a workaround, I was talking to the players mid game. Not too much, or they get information overload! That’s why initially thought i was spanking teams… until I realised they wasn’t using subs properly, but that’s another issue they dealing with
  8. I wouldn’t know unless I go into the bugs forum and look for a post someone has made about it. Again, if there was a known bugs list pinned somewhere, we wouldn’t have to do that.
  9. It happens when the players go back onto the pitch. All neutral again. I started 12 different saves from 5 different leagues. All the same. If you see different, post a screenshot for us to see please
  10. Have you read peoples experiences on these forums? At present you have people saying it’s full of issues and pointing them out with screenshots and soak tests. Then you got the other side, who wouldn’t want you to have a bad word to say about SI and totally deny there is anything wrong with the game, even though said issues have been identified and are being fixed. These are the main arguments on these forums. Funny thing, you can see who these people are, as it looks like they like to antagonise the users who have the issues, but no mods intervene to point out, “actually it is an issue that’s being worked on”
  11. Experiences with a game that is not in the state that was promised. Experiences with a game which mechanics are not working as they are supposed to. It has a lot to do with SI. If the game was released as promised, what would people even be debating about?
  12. I think this of SI’s own making. With the lack of information in regards to known bugs, game mechanics and patch release dates, users on these forums then resort to theories. There are HARDCORE players who can afford to spend 100s of hours into the game debating with a CASUAL player who probably spends few hours a month due to other commitments. They will of course see 2 different different things. A known bugs list is really needed! I see alot of players spending hours of their time testing the game, just to prove to other users of their findings. For me, they should be enjoying the game, with peace of mind that their issues are being looked at. I don’t venture into the bugs forum too much, because once I know there’s a issue, it ruins the immersion for me and then cannot unsee it.
  13. This is why we need a bugs list. It will stop all these arguments and debates! A lot of these arguments come from the fact of the end user not knowing.
  14. I don’t want to clog up the feedback thread so I thought I start a fresh post here. What are your opinions of a public beta branch making a comeback? As we can see over the last few years, bugs have snuck through QA or even returned from previous editions. The game is getting more and more complex and needs as many eyes as possible. The reasoning why SI stopped the public beta was due to lack of feedback. Do you think times have changed and the public are more engaged with developers more than ever? Do you think it will improve the engagement between SI and the public, without the frustrations from the consumer spilling over? I would like to hear the positives and the negatives. I don’t want the ‘SI tried it before, didn’t work’ answers.
  15. I think you will find, especially with this version, you would get a lot of people using it now. I bought the game early access. Haven’t been able to play it much since release as I feel I have a big advantage over the AI and cannot immerse myself into that world. I normally run nearly every league, from every country, plus add-ons. Everything full detail! Of course people will play the game for early access for that patch but will also spot an issue by playing as they normally would, rather than looking for an issue. I think it’s pretty obvious the public spotted alot more issues than the alpha testers! Because it didn’t work a few years ago, when the game was able to be playable ‘long term’ from beta, it’s different now. Miles is tweeting record number of players are playing now more than previous editions. That’s means different sort of fan base are playing the game. It’s the last FM of its kind. Why not just do it!
  16. It’s called moving with the times. A lot of games offer beta branches. A lot of companies release patches when they have fixed the problem. I don’t know many game companies that hold off little hot fixes for 1 big patch! I’m a paying customer that is pointing out the service being provided is a bit dated. We don’t even have a known bugs list! Instead people are not sure what they are experiencing are bugs or game design! They have to go through all the pages in the forum to find it or post it, only to be told it’s a known issue!
  17. The last time I asked, the reasoning was they never had many users take it up. I think the last time they done it was probably 5 years ago, could be more. What I don’t understand is the world is a very different place now compared to then. A lot of games are coming out buggy, people want fixes ASAP! Even if it’s to be able to player a version of the game even 10% better than it currently is. And a beta patch will give you possibly 100,000’s of free beta testers! Especially with the new audiences they’ve attracted with the new leagues.
  18. I’ve said this more than once. SI should just open the beta branch again, so with the bugs they have fixed so far, the players could just get on with the features they paid for. Everyone would understand it’s a beta branch of the patch and would be a lot happier than without one. Also 2 birds 1 stone, as they would report the bugs they find in the beta patch, just as they do with the full release!
  19. They should offer options for to able to store all the data so you could come back to it. That is one of my biggest gripes about FM in general.
  20. If memory serves correct, between 3 - 17th December. I'll have to double check previous patches... Also I'm taking into fact that as miles said, some services they use could take from hours to couple weeks (if misquoted sorry) to get it cleared on platforms. So if all bugs were fixed say next week, we'd have to wait for said platforms to clear it.
  21. I suspect so. They have a 'target' date set. Would be nice to know if that 'target' date is looking good or what they are seeing in their testing at the moment, like a behind the scenes sort of thing. Also if they need anymore pkm's or save games from certain leagues, countries, players or reps. And before any of the usual mods pipe up, I know they keep cards close to their chests. But it's also nice to have a tiny bit of an update
  22. Not sure on the first one, but with complacent, I normally use 'focus' but I think it also depends on player personality.
  23. I think the players squad depth thing is all wrong anyway. Who is a player to tell me how much of a squad I have anyway. As mentioned before, could be to do with finances, a young prospect coming through or even retraining a position of a player. Understandable if the club was struggling and it was mentioned in the media by a 'former' player. If anything, should only be brought up by the manager, asking a player 'whats wrong, why you playing bad'. Then it could be used as 'doesnt feel enough quality in certain position'. But I would want options to explain why the manager may not want to sign another player.
  24. I set mine like so 1st Team Youth Team International (I've found from international squads) U-21 (Same as above) Abroad (or outside of my scouting zone) End of contract Free
  25. Anyone from SI confirm something for me? With regards to stamina, how does the game calculate it in-game? Is it dynamic, as in it goes up and down in-game or is it static, in that it basically goes down as the game goes on? Say for example, a player has stamina of 20 and the player makes a run down the wing. Does the players stamina drop down to say 4, then recover to say 18, once they have finished running? It reminded me of when i used to play Fight Night and you would button bash for the first few seconds, but your stamina would be depleted, so would have to wait until it went up again, then you could button bash again. I was only thinking if it is static, then could that be the reason why Genpress is overpowered over the last few versions, without having the type of players needed (high stamina, work rate, determination and acceleration).
