  1. I thought picking a film from the early part of your retirement years would have appealed to you but sadly not
  2. Croatia might be the only people to love ET more than Elliot did
  3. They've been linked with Raya recently - I hope they go for Meslier
  4. South Shields Season 2024/25 Vanarama National League League - Was a strange season in the end as we did way better than I thought we would. We started slowly by losing 3 of our opening 5 games (winning 1) but then found our feet and only lost twice in the the next 5 months to put us in the title race with Chesterfield, I say title race but I don't think we were ever any better than a couple of points behind them but then in Feb and March our season seemed to fall apart as we only won 4 of 11 games as our away form fell apart including a 6-2 defeat away to an Oldham side fighting relegation. We would either give away a dumb penalty or let in a very late goal (we had a run of giving up 6 pens in 6 games and another run where there was a decisive goal after the 85th minute in a run of 8 games in 10. Was annoying) and often times we managed to combine them both to really anger me as we dropped as low as 5th. However out of nowhere we suddenly found our best form in April and May as we won our final 7 games to end the season in 2nd spot. In the playoffs we first faced Eastleigh (won and lost 1-0 to them in the league) we played alright and were leading early but they pulled it back then with 20 mins to go we we found ourselves behind, luckily a quick response frpm us before 2 late goals saw us set up a final with Halifax (3-3 draw and 4-0 win) sadly the final would not be as exciting but a pen for us just before the break gave us the lead, mid way through the 2nd half they had a pen but our keeper pulled off a great save to keep us ahead and despite a couple of scares we held on to win promotion! The playoffs ended well for us. Tbh this has gone far better than it ever has for me so I would be fairly happy with a few seasons finishing bottom half of the league as we slowly build ourselves up. FA Cup - We made the first round again. We lost in the first around to a league side again. We were 2-0 early and pulled it back before, shock horror, we gave away not 1 but 2 pens to be knocked out. FA Trophy - We made the quarter finals again. We lost again. Just one of those days we didn't turn up in the middle of our iffy run fo form Transfers - Obviously none in but we loaned a couple young players out Squad - getting smaller and older which is not an ideal place to be in, will hopefully be able to promote one or two youth players this summer Finances - looking good after promotion and a trip to Wembley Youth Intake - Not great but OK. Solid I guess. Didn't tag many but I did make a change in my HOYD this summer so allow me to introduce Michael Coulson Fenton Tarrant YP02A - an OK looking CB, needs a lot of work Jonathyn Mellanby YP02B - - a decent looking DM Craig Mills YP02C - I like him for a CM role but needs to work on his physical side for sure Career Overview Season League Position Note’s & Achievements 2023/24 NLN 1st Promotion as champions, first coaching badge 2024/25 VNL 2nd Promotion via playoffs, started 2nd coaching badge, improved youth recruitment
  5. He's so dumb I reckon I've got a chance even when they are out
  6. Comfortable for England in the end. With the issues in the past you have to enjoy these comfortable results.
  7. This really. Goals change games and once a team is behind against England they have to open up and that leaves space that England are very good at exploiting
  8. Hold on. Aren't the band Wednesday fans? And @Weezeris out there? Hmm.....
