[FM22] All You Need Is Heart...To With The English Premier League [Finished]

After all the American Socccer...Its time to play European Football again.

 

I had earlier this year this idea: Glory Hunter Challenge With A Slight Twist

Basicly winning all trophies in the top 5 by developing and selling players.

 

I take this idea again and just do babysteps.

 

The aim is to win the English Premier League with a player developed at out club. 

 

This time we do it in...Scotland!

 

Once again I take my FM20 icon Giorgios Panagioutou as alter ego.

Solid 5 year play, basicly beein best of the rest behind Celtic and Rangers.

Also the club culture fits this save pretty well.

 

No real restrictions of transfers.

But I think a strong UK focus will be the right fit...Brexit yay.

The main squad is almost looking perfect for my 442.

Even the squad depth is almost there how I want it.

 

Our best player is John Souttar.

Sadly he leaves on a free at the end of the season.

 

In goal we got a 38 y/o Craig Gorden. He got a contract until 2024.

Solid GK and hopefully we can get him past age 40.

We got some great facilities, I didnt even noticed that.

 

We got some nice money in the bank.

And even with the good facilities, we are not losing much money.

 

 

Also not much debt.

No transfer budget and over the wage budget....nice!

 

And with Simms still out for 2-4 months, we need to find a cheap striker.

Preseason trip to Denmark with decent results.

 

We start the season with the (Betfred) League Cup, which is basicly preseason too.

We got good group with Kelty Hearts (L2), Peterhead (L1), Brechin (LL) and  Dundee (P).

We managed to sell one of our 6 CB.

With the sell of Haring we have just enough money to get one more attacking player in.

 

Gooch looks decent to do the job this season.

He was listed for 110k and we managed to structure the deal pretty well.

We pay 50k now + 100k in add ons if he does well.

 

This should be our transfer summer.

July 2021 - League Cup - Group Stage

No problem in the league cup.

The team is playing well.

 

 

Wait there is a problem... We lost one of our RBs for 3 months...

With only 21 players in the squad and no money, there might the chance for some youth players.

We drew Livingston in the 2nd round of the League Cup.

 

 

But this will come later in August.

We got the season opener vs......Celtic.

After the broken leg of Subbick I asked the board for some money.

They agreed to up the wage budget.

 

Pushing the slider means we got now some good budget to get a RB.

Also the missin 4th CM and maybe a real striker.

 

Season tickets for 1,5 mio and League Cup gates helped a lot.

Two cheap loans in for the striking position.

Cukur is ok, but nothing special.

Vassilev I know from the MLS save, he is pretty decent.

Easy win vs Livingston.

But we payed hard with an injury to our starting DLP Baningime.

 

Off to the transfer market again....

 

In the next round we will play Kilmarnock.

August 2021 - Premiership

Yes, we beat Celtic on the first day of the season.

But since the AI is notorious for a bad preseason, we could use our home advantage pretty well.

 

But two bad games against St.Mirren and Aberdeen makes the Celtic W whatever.

Against Dundee Utd. loanies and probable worst looking striker Cukur with a hattrick.

September 2021 - League Cup - Quarter Final

I think that a first in this years edition...two hattrick from two players in the same game.

Elis Simms is also fit again and delivered two assists from the bench.

 

Well its Celtic.

Atleast we get 20k viewers again.

Perfect month with a victory in the Edinburgh Derby.

 

Celtic is slowly climbing their way up, Rangers are marching away.

Pretty good months with a strong draw against Rangers.

 

Rangers got one game in hand, so its a nice three horse rave after 13 games.

Celtic already with 4 losses.

Bad game vs Dundee caused a loss. Sadly no bounce back in the League Cup.

Very good months again. Huge W vs Celtic and once again a draw vs Rangers.

 

We got somehow a 3 point lead.

Again we won the important derby vs Hibs.

But we lost in the 89th minute against Celtic.

 

Rangers got one game in hand, so its only a 3 pt lead again.

I always let my DoF some freedom, because they maybe find some gems or bargains.

We needed backup keeper or potential temporary starter. Gordon is now age 39.

So once I saw the deal for O'Leary, I said yes, thats the perfect transition player.

 

He joins us for a small fee from a club that shall not be named.

Youth Intake 2022

First intake in and we got with Kyle Anderson a pretty good prospect.

 

 

I really like Anderson.

197 cm, 15 Jumping, 16 Heading and 15 Technique + 13 Flair.

He is gettin on the DLF training and he could be the perfect for this postion.

I really like a TF like player as DLF in my 442.

 

A nice swoop of nations already.

Normally I press save after every game, because I always got the feeling a crash happens more after a finished game.

Well...this time I did not and it happend.

 

We replayed it and we only got a draw...
