Sure glad I spent 3 months scouting ASIA to get 15 reports on players in EUROPE.

Assigned one of my scouts for a pre-season 3-month tour of Asia. End of 3 months, I get notification of 15 players he's reporting on: at such Asian clubs as PSG, Newcastle, Bayer, Schalke...no actual Asian players or Asian clubs. Their world knowledge shows they now have 2% knowledge in Saudia Arabia, Myanmar and Malaysia...but none of the player reports are for players in those countries or from those countries. Is scouting really that broken?

We're aware of an issue with knowledge levels that it won't increase via further scouting, but what you can see via the player search is determined by your scouting package anyway.

It may have been that during the period they were scouting that region you asked your scouting team to look at additional players, which is why they've shown up in this period. Bear in mind that your scouts will only suggest players they feel are worth recommending, not all players they've looked at during that period.

It depends what database setup have you choose, what's your scouting package (assume it's "World"), what's the settings in your scouting assignments and finally what the knowledge level of your scouters are.

If its during pre-season the Asian teams that the scout has chosen to watch may have played against PSG, Bayern and the other European teams in a friendly. 

Its the same for International teams, for example if you got a scout scouting the Continent Asia and it's during an international break the scout will watch one of the Asian countries games and if they are playing Argentina in all likelihood he will recommend Messi.

The assigned scout will pick games to watch associated with his scout assignment and report back, the game he choses may be a friendly, an international game, a European game etc.. which is why you often get reports for players who are outside the set assignment.

I've felt that scouting knowledge has been funky in fm22 for a while. Scouts with the right language skills still lose knowledge after scouting regions very quickly (an English scout in Scotland, for example). Also international scouting via regions provides very little results and the scouting knowledge gained goes to zero in offseasons very quickly.
