  1. My loan manager is not following the instructions set in staff responsibilities for minimum requirements for loan deals. Got minimum requirement for playing time for under 21 loans set at Regular Starter but he is accepting offers with Fringe Player, Squad Player etc. Some screenshots to show
  2. It seems to happen at random times. When I exit the game and reload it works fine.
  3. I've made multiple transfers and mutual cancellation of contracts for my staff but none show in the transfer history screen. Some examples in the screenshots
  4. If you want a left footer taking it from the left side make sure you got it set as outswinging. If it’s set as inswinging it will automatically pick from your right footer list. also check you haven’t ticked the box to have a certain player as your default taker as he will take it from both sides.
  5. The print screen function isn't working. Shortcut not doing anything and option greyed out drop down options menu. Possibly disabled during early access??
  6. There's no players selected in the first screenshot that's why there's no familiarity. Also with the overall team instructions there's only small changes between my main controlled instructions and the SUS 1/2 instructions so doesn't take long to gain familiarity. I have a side save with Everton where most of their original squad the best duty suggested was defend and even the most attacking players were only suggested as support (maybe to do with reputation and expectation in the league) and their squad was quite unbalanced so it took a few windows to get something working making it a bit more challenging. My idea came from looking at real life where players don't really switch between roles, every player has a football identity of how they play. In FM I always tended to play with Ball playing CB , always played a mezzala and I just got bored, I like the part of identifying roles and players that don't work together. McTominay and Fred for example in real life don't work as a partnership but in FM you would just put them both as Mezzala and win the league, now I have to persevere and look to address the issue in the transfer window.
  7. I'm playing as a normal game, I control transfers etc. But in terms of the tactics, formation and roles, I only play my players in the position my ass man says is their best, the role they play is what my ass man says is their best and their duty is what the ass man says is best. I set the team instructions according to how I want the team to play overall but the shape and roles they play are determined by my assistant recommendation. I add PI's to each player dependent on the stats. For eg Gvardiol has good dribbling so I add Dribble more for him to bring the ball out of defence. Jude Bellingham has good dribbling and crossing so I add Run wide with ball, dribble more and cross more. Osimhen has brilliant off the ball so I've added Roam from position. Where its changed for me in terms of scouting and transfers is identifying better what I need. For example if I needed to sign a more attacking role for my full back I wouldn't sign one who my scouts say is best as a No nonsense Full Back Defend or Wing Back Defend even if they look better, I'd be looking at the ones my scouts say their best duty is Attack.
  8. You could add training rating to a custom screen so when your picking your matchday team you can sort by training rating. That way you got it visible as your picking your team
  9. Played the game since back to the Championship Manager days and for the first time this edition I started getting a little bored. I've always found a formation with roles and stuck rigidly to the same throughout. I found myself looking for ways to change the way I played. So I randomly decided to scrap my tactics and only play players in the position, role and duty that my assistant manager says was their best. It's completely changed the way I play the game, changed the way I see players, tactics, scouting, transfers and squad building. My shape changes almost every game but my overall team instructions remain the same. The view above gives me an overview of my Assistant Managers recommendation for the best pos/role/duty for each player. You'll notice Bruno Fernandes doesn't play the recommended role but's that's to keep a promise in his contract. At the start of each season I set all players up with personalised instructions (CM players will have the same personalised instructions for MCR, MC, MCL for eg). When my best 11 play together my shape and roles are below. When changes are made either during games with substitutions or in games where I've rotated my shape changes depending on personnel, some examples below. I have 4 different tactical instructions set up to alter through each game aswell. I start each game with the team instructions in the above screenshots. If I'm not dominating possession I switch to the attacking tactical style in the below screenshots which aims at getting forward quicker than my standard. Then I have a SUS step 1 style which I use around 75 mins to start seeing out games I'm winning, then I switch to SUS Step 2 around 85 mins to time waste and see out the game. After all the years of playing the games this one change has really increased my enjoyment of the game and tied loads of the features together. Anyone looking for a change to the way they play the game or just a starting point at a new club, give this a go.
  10. You can do this in the main tactic screen or in the player tab at the top of the tactic screen. You can set up personalised instructions for each player so whenever they are on the pitch they will play with their own instructions.
  11. During my save Bruno Fernandes received a second straight red card in three games and was initially suspended for two games which was expected. Then on review it was extended to 4 games, then reviewed again it was extended to 6 games. I've checked through the rules but can't see any reason for the second extension.

    Set pieces

Set Pieces is one area at the moment that is really needing an overhaul. This area is why behind other areas in the game. But a fix for this area without a complete overhaul that would make it more user friendly would be to give a structure like you have with the takers. So for each corner you set up you could list the positions in the set up in a priority order. And for each position within your set up you list your players in order like you do with takers. Each Routine should allow you to do individual priority lists for each set-up. Because your priority positions would be different for a near post corner and a far post corner. An example for a corner set-up like this which is going near post Priority One = Taker (Automatically puts the highest available player in your list here) Priority Two = Attack near post (Automatically puts highest available player in your list here, If your highest player is also the highest player for priority one then the second highest will go here) Priority Three = Lurk Near Post ( Again highest available player in your list goes here ruling out anyone who has been placed in Priority one and two) And so on... This would automatically place every player in your line up in what you deem to be their strongest place no matter who's in the line-up. This would allow you to set up all your set pieces at the start of each season and also set multiple routines without having to mess about every fixture when you've made changes.
  13. No problem, I've been playing since the the championship manager days and I pick one or two areas every edition to understand in more detail and wages/playing time have been one of the areas this year
