Issues with putting a new player in database

Hi all,

Has anyone had any problems putting a new player into the database? I have created a young wonderkid from scratch, just for fun and out him in the newcastle youth squad. When i load up a new game. he isnt there. Not sure why, but ive repeated it a few times now and i cant seem to get it to work.

Anyone have any reasons why this isnt working for me?

To see what is exactly happening I tried to do it for myself. Went without issue and I am available in game.

Question now is what the difference is. Might be a case of missing date which triggers the issue.

Could you upload your file please? After creating a player without issue, I want to see if I can spot anything in the file.

I had something similar.  I imported a file I created in FM20 that had a bunch of created players for new teams.   The vast majority of them do not appear in the game, even though there are no failed editor changes.  
 

Then I created one from scratch and he doesn’t appear, either.

Hi,

It work when you have one  file but you cannot start a game with two separate files containing person edits.

I see. That explains why my file worked.

Thanks for that link.  I posted there too.  I am only loading one file and all players are assigned to clubs but they show up on some clubs and not others.

Yep, happening to me too. No response from SI yet on this? Very frustrating...

As people have said I think if you have two files with separate person edits it wont work, I for example have the file that puts the Ajax backroom staff back into the game but I wonder if it would work if you merge that with your original file
