[FM22] Together We Can Do It...London Unite!...Dulwich Hamlet Became The 4th Team! [Finished]

Hello to my first FM 22 save.

After couple of days of thinking what to do, I found a new idea.

 

I saw there are only 3 teams from London who won Premier League. (English Champion)

 

Why not become the 4th team?

There are 32 teams from the London area in the top 7 leagues in England.

And there is one team I used before and took it all the way to Premier League glory back in FM 19.

 

Dulwich Hamlet FC

And ofcause I choose it because of this beautiful badge and colors. 

So why not go back to something familiar and go back to the Champion Hill!

 

Also I just saw a football cult hero is currently helping Dulwich.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend Peter Crouch is on the board.

 

So what the goal of this save?

Simple becoming the 4th team from London winning the Premier League.

(Maybe if I really into the save at some point, we can do for rank 1.)

 

But...there is always a but.

 

I can only use players from the academies of the London clubs.

Every player is eligible once they gone through a London academy.

Also players like Bellerin is a possibility.

 

The player pool is pretty small, the HG rules and Brexit, this shouldn't be that easy.

So we also need to focus on developing our own players.

 

My manager will be a player I remember really well from my FM19 save.

Pana joined us in the Conference South on a loan from Leyton Orient.

After 2 years on loan we spent 700k in League 2!

He took us all the way to the Premier League title.

For storyline purpose...He retired age 26 after an ACL tear and did his Nat C Licence.

Here we go!

Decent visions.

Signing youngsters -> Perfekt

Working within the budget -> Always

 

3 years plan to get into the National League -> This is also the plan I got.

We still got some nice money in the bank.

 

But looking at the projection...we need to get up the leagues asap.

 

This year I also start to use p/a wages instead of weekly.

We got some nice room for 1,2 or maybe 3 new players.

 

We got a decent sized squad.

Also we got only 4 players from Non-London academies, which is a good % at the start.

All them will count as HG to me, since we inherited those players.

 

Our best player is currently Gio McGregor.

The media also rates us pretty high.

We got an ok coaching staff, only missing a HoYD for the start.

But now scouts or medical staff.

Facilities are looking ok.

After looking at the team, I can use my favorite formation from FM21.

Lets see if it works.

First friendly done against a div below side in Nuneaton.

We played really well, that gives me some hope.

 

Time for some more trials and more friendlies.

I asked for a senior affiliate and atleast we got one.

Dag & Red from one div above us.

Sadly we cant loan any of their players, but 17k I take atm.

Transfers IN

We need some midfield depth and we got it.

Also support striker.

Parrett will be our starting DLP and Duncan will be our first midfield sub.

Charles I knew from some YC tries with Gosport last year.

He is already 30, my ass man didnt rate him, but he did the job in the friendlies.

With those additions, we are pretty much finished.

Maybe we can get 1-2 free loans in.

This is what I like about managing in LL England.

Players with 2nd nationalities of pretty small nations.

We got 3 full internationals, which are missin a couple of games every year.

First time in a while we were 0:1 down.

But we turned it around with a late winner from Mills.

Its looking really good.

Stil not lost any points, scored 36 goals and we got a 12 pt lead.

Danny Mills is on fire. Also our loanies Green got some nice assists already.

I expected a lot worse.

We got like 2000 viewers every game, which are pretty good for that level I think.

Last month Mills won it, this time he gets third.

We got the big game against Dons and a big game against Bath.
