[FM22Beta] Hello Zebre...Turin Is Red-White - DoF Style Save With Torino FC [Finished]

Here we go again...its FM 22 time.

Welcome to my FM22 beta save with...

Why Torino FC?

I like to manage in Italy and obviously every body wants to try the Wide Centerbacks.

Normally I take Cagliari, but I want something new.

 

This save got no special goal, it goes how long it goes.

I would love to bring some silverware back to the red-white part of Turin.

Mediocrity as it best.

 

We got a decent sized squad with the main man Andreas Belotti.

First goal is to extend his contract.

 

Like the title says, this will be a DoF style save.

Lets see if there are some improvements.

Preaseason 2021 Part 1

The man who will be in charge 99% of anything is our new DoF.

Bonneau got some pretty nice stats and a is bloody model citizen.

 

The second position where I can choose the man is the HoYD. 

Former Portugues international Nuno Gomes will be the one.

 

And the 3rd position is my Ass Mans 

Another model citizen and its a newgen,

His name is Danny Fleiss. Fleiss is a german word and means diligence.

Lets see.

Two days after gettin the job, Mr. Bonneau is doin stuff.

After last year this is already a dub, I expected a 3,5* whatever player.

This gives me some hope.

Preaseason 2021 Part 4

Mister DoF is not messing around, he is doin stuff.

He is already extending contracts, he even managed to do the imporatant one.

Belotti! Singo and also Bremer.

Another 40k/w wages off the book.

And the replacement will be a bargain in my eyes.

Yes he is 36y/o, but we can get atleast one good year out of him.

Not an expert in Italian -  English translations, put I know Torino are Granata, which will probably better be equivalent as Maroons... Not that it matters much but my OCD had to signal it. Best of luck though in bringing back Grande Torino!

Yes!

It looks like that the DoF got improved slightly by SI.

He is doin actually reasonable stuff.

Preaseason 2021 Part 6

Minutes before the first game of the season Mr. DoF sold Verdi.

Another 50k/w off the books and a decent chunk of money.

August 2021 Part 1

One weakness I saw almost instant was that we only got 1 good striker, 1 Ok striker and...Zaza.

So I asked Mr. DoF and he recommended Roberto Piccoli from Atalanta.

Piccoli and Belotti could a our strike duo after January.

I give Sanabria half a season to impress me.

Uff...Mr. DoF blew 155k for a not good lookin youth player.

Decent start to the season.

We should have beat Bologna with 1-2 more goals, but a win is a win.

Against Roma we went down 0:2 in the first half and then Mourinho parked the bus.

But Piccoli got his first goal.

August 2021 Part 4 - Deadline Day

Uhh...I really like this deadline day stuff. Its gives you the right feeling.

 

We needed two more players and we got them.Sadly Ahmedhozic got stolen by Man City............

 

We need an AMC after the sell of Verdi.

I had the choice between young and old, but I went with old.

I mean for 1,9mio for 2 years should be a steal.

I knew what Kruse can do IRL, so lets see what he can do ingame.

 

With only 4 mio transfer budget there are not that many options.

I want another BPD and Heintz can do that.

I think we did pretty well overall.

We even cut 70k/w of the wage budget.

I think a DoF strategy is becoming more and more popular in FM because there is so much to do. It also allows a good into to a new issue of the game. Good luck.

Ty. Yes it reduces many of the mirco management stuff.

This year they improved a lot of things, which were pretty terrible last year.

For e.g. if you tell the DoF to get player x a new deal and he fails, he ask you to do the new deal and you can do it, without waiting another 2 weeks.

 

And since you are in my thread, you need to look at the Torino keeper. Vanja Milikovic-Savic got 16 freekick taking ingame.

Unfortunately, just like penalties not being driven by the penalties attribute, I don't think that it's the free-kick attribute that determines the outcome of free-kicks. 

Stick VMS on free-kicks and prove me wrong when he scores 20+ goals a season though!

I will try. He already hit the crossbar in a friendly and in the league Im scared to appoint him as number 1.

September 2021 - Match Day 3 + 4

 

Tough game away from home against Sampdoria.

We couldnt find the net, but we were rock solid in defense.

 

On day 4 we played last years champion Inter at home.

The team played really well and we had equal game.

But in the 89th minute Belotti made it 1:0 after a beautiful cross from Singo.

Back to back good results vs big teams.

I mean, I had to bring in Zaza and he scored after a Kruse corner.

I tried again the diamond, but switch half time back to 3 ATB.

But Mandragon decided also in the first half to destroy anything....

We are now 4 pts behind the top 7 places, Mediocrity ....

Wooo what a game.

Yes its only Salernitana, but we played really well and created really good chances.

Lets see if this 4312 can work against better teams.

 

Also Lazio lost their game, so we are back in the top group.

Really liking this improvement.

Lukic asked me for a new deal and I let the DoF handle the situation.

Mr. DoF couldnt agree with the player and asked me to handle it again with him.

Normally your player would be pissed and doesnt talk to your for atleast one week or never again.

Really good game against a freshly relegated Parma.

Belotti put 3 goals behind the legend.

Tweaked the 4312 a bit and we created even more half chances.

 

Next round will be tough...Milan uff...

Pretty easy victory against Spezia.

The team is really enjoying the 4312 at the moment.

 

Lazio are on 5 games without a victory, so we are 7th.

The Youth Intake preview looks good, although Europe is looking like a tall order to accomplish this season without a strong late season run and one of the top teams falling out form.

7th place can you still bring you into the Conference League depending of the Coppa Italia. But a EL finish will be tough.

January 2022 - Transfers

We had a busy deadline day.

We sold a youth player in Edera and our 4th and 5th choice CB in Didji and Zima.

We are not using a 3 ATB anymore.

 

We replace two CBs with one CB.

Keven Schlotterbeck will be our 2nd ex-Freiburg players and our 3rd German player.

He is solid backup option.

 

Lopez was found by our DoF...4,5* potential and 3* current ability.

For 47k its a bloody steal, he looks like a real gem.
