deez0r Posted May 18, 2020 Author Share Posted May 18, 2020 Former Clubs Distillery It was heartbreak for Distillery as they lost in the playoff promotion/relegation match to get promoted to the Danske Premiership Middlesbrough It was a poor season for my old club as they were relegated back to the Championship. Some really poor transfer decisions has really weakened this team. Chelsea As you can see from the above a really poor season for Chelsea not even reaching the CL places. Knocked out of Carabao Cup by Championship Derby and also knocked out of CL at first knockout stage was enough for Marcelinho to be sacked and replaced by Solskjaer! Linfield Linfield won a quadruple, with the league and 3 other domestic cups. Disappointing in Europe after throwing a 4-1 lead away in first leg to qualify for Euro Cup. deez0r Posted May 18, 2020 Author Share Posted May 18, 2020 Pre Season Transfers Transfers In Loans Vernon, Patching and Cooke were all here last season and come back in again. Delighted to have them back! Hull comes in on the wing as it is a position we are quite light on! We are trying to bring in one more striker on loan, we have offers out to 2 players, 1 of which I really think would be a star for us! Free Signings Yates-Wells and Stewart both come in as solid midfielders as a number of our fringe backup midfielders left. Noble was here last season and covers across the whole defence. Unfortunately injured at start of this season. Madden is our major signing of the summer. Turning down a number of other clubs to join us. Bent and Rowe will be our backup goalkeeper and striker and Mason and Johnson will be utilised as rotation options. Money Transfers King comes in from Glentoran with big potential and a snip at only £10k. I have been actively scouting in NI for bargains and as you will see in future transfers I have got 2 more coming in! Jackson comes in from Hibs for £68k and turned down Dundee to join us. Plays anywhere on the left side its another good signing with big potential. Future Transfers I really like the look of both of these and they come highly recommended by my scouts. Murphy at 17 already has really solid defender stats and is coming in for £10k and Stewart already has great finishing and off the ball stats at 17 and he also comes in for £10k. Murphy joins next summer and Stewart in January. Transfers Out Our outgoings where all released players. There are 2 or 3 I am still actively trying to move on. League Table Joint top of the league is a great start! Domestic Cups We progressed into the 2nd round of the Carabao Cup where Luton knocked us out in a very competitive game. We also beat West Ham u23's in the Leasing Trophy Other News Manager of the month! Transfers Out These where no longer required and Gray is out on loan after we signed him. Transfers In Gray comes in for his potential and was immediately loaned back out. Berzolla will be a backup striker however Vernon is injured for 6 weeks so he will get some game time. Johnson comes in as our best player and has hit the floor running! Future Transfers 2 more youngsters signed for potential. McCulloch comes in for £10k from Airdrie. Big potential! We now have 6 red cards this season. We were lucky to get a point at MK Dons as they thumped us. League Table We are still in automatic promotion spots and 3 points of surprise leaders Forest Green with a game in hand. Domestic Cups After last seasons incredible run we have been drawn away at York in the 1st round of the FA Cup. In the Leasing Trophy we hold onto 2nd place after a penalty defeat to Charlton. Our discipline (as you will see below) has really cost us at times. League Table We sit in 2nd behind Sunderland. If the season would end now it would be great! Domestic Cups I rested a lot of players and it nearly backfired spectacularly. We rescued a replay. If we get past Crawley in the replay we are away at Championship side Oxford who sit just outside the relegation zone. Other News Think we have some anger issues in the team. deez0r Posted May 19, 2020 Author Share Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) End Of Season League Table A great season only slightly soured by our failure to beat already relegated Bristol Rovers on the last day to clinch the title. Sunderland overtook us to win it and Charlton beat Peterborough in the playoff finals after Carlisle's implosion continued! Domestic Cups We were knocked out of the Carabao Cup 2nd round and out of the Leasing Trophy at the group stages before our amazing FA Cup run for the 2nd season running before eventually being knocked out by Spurs in the quarter finals. Awards No surprise here that Madden wins our player and young player of the season as well as signing of the season. He was the best player in the league by rating and is definitely one of the players who can handle himself in the Championship next season. Hull won goal of the season with an amazing individual run and goal against Bristol Rovers. Johnston won the top goalscorer award and we have managed to secure him for next season as well which is great and we are not covering any of his wages! Madden walks away with player of the season. 7 goals and 9 assists from that deep lying role and an average rating of 7.31 means it was a fantastic first season at the club! deez0r Posted May 19, 2020 Author Share Posted May 19, 2020 Transfers Transfers Out Well what a summer of outgoings. Murphy, O'Gara and Gray all went out to help their development. Sraha is no longer required and no one made nay transfers offers so he went out on loan to Colchester. Thompson and Guy were no longer required so we moved them on. Now onto the bigger ones. Noble was very good for us last season and I love that he covers all areas of the defence however Derby met his release clause and he had to go. Yates-Willis is the strange one. Our team only rated him as 4 star potential which for Derby will be quite poor. They came in quite low and I upped to the minimum fee release just to see what they would do and they accepted it. Stewart and Whittles both had very good potential but again the money offered was too big to turn down. Transfers In Loans One of our former youth players in Liburd comes in and provides a good option right through the spine of the team. Myers is mainly a striker but I brought him in mainly to help on the left hand side. Blanc will be one our starting centre backs. Sergio will be our starting right winger, an area that we were very short in. Karakas comes in on loan from Dortmund and he will be playing a lot of games up top. Suleman again provides good cover on both wings as well as up top. One of them has to miss out each match day but with the amount of suspensions and injuries throughout the season I think they really give us good options. Prospects Ness is a great goalkeeper prospect. He will be our backup keeper and will hopefully get a few games to help his development. Myrbraathen has came in for his potential and will be immediately going back to Norway where he can get games. Pesonen comes in for 70k from Torino. He is the closest out of the 3 prospects to the first team. First Team Squad Players Rubie comes in on a free and will be a backup centre back. Ciraci is a a good midfield player coming in from Italy. After we lost a lot of centre midfielders he will be provide a good option there. Sheytanov my scouts said he was better than he actually was. Barely any cost to it and he has good experience and will be our 3rd choice keeper. McDonald is my favourite signing of the summer. Not getting game time he was transfer listed at Derby. For £52k it is an absolute steal. Gerli is another Italian midfielder with good experience. Also comes in as one of our 4 options for that midfield area. Bell is one of our 4 centre backs, more than likely backup currently but its a big upgrade on our backup from last season. Lally is my other favourite signing of the summer. Raiding my former club Linfield for him. 7 caps for Northern Ireland and already one of our best players. this is a fantastic signing for £220k. A lot of the games where closer than results show, however, our finishing has been outstanding. Moment of the month being the Oxford game. We were 4-1 down at half time before scoring 6 and blitzing them in the 2nd half. League Table A great start has us in 2nd but I do feel like we have played a lot of the weaker sides in the league. Player Of The Month I wasn't planning on using him as much this season however a hat trick in the 1st round of the Carabao Cup meant he stayed in the side and he has banged in 6 goals this month! Forest where simply the better team on the day as well. Huddersfield and Barnsley where quite straightforward victories before a really tough away win at Swansea. League Table Player Of The Month Sergio has been great being utilised on the right, he has great heading which is leading to him scoring quite a few far post headers. 6 goals and 7 assists already from wide right! I think in terms of promotions I have been incredibly lucky with the quality of loans I have been able to bring in. This season we have been clinical in front of goal. Johnson is the top goalscorer in the league by 3 goals! Hull and Charlton where very comfortable wins and Preston really gave us a good game and probably should have won until a late equaliser! League Table Still a fantastic start to the season. We have been playing some great football and scoring a lot of goals as you can see from our goal difference! Player Of The Month Probably the main reason for our goal difference, he has 14 goals in 15 games and is top scorer in the league! Would love to be able to get him in permanently. Nothing great as far! Martin came through at Chelsea. Has turned into a solid lower league player, won't be anything more than that! Russell came through at Boro. He still has some very solid stats but hasn't made it past the u23 team as of yet! Liburd also came through Boro. Currently on loan at myself, he will be a solid lower league Championship or League 1 level! Walters came through at Chelsea and was one of the 2 I got stole of me that were highlighted as having great potential! He has developed nicely at Liverpool and is currently on loan at QPR! Clarke is probably the best of the bunch. Developed quite well and still has further potential. On loan at Sunderland this season from Arsenal! League Table We are back up into the automatic promotion spots although a long way to go! Player Of The Month Johnson is one of the weakest players in our team however he has 8 assists this season and has been very solid! Transfers Out 3 loans out and 3rd goalkeeper Sheytanov wanted out so we got him off the wage budget! Future Transfers Abad is coming in on a free transfer in the summer. But unbeaten outside of that and a big win at the end of the month. League Table Looks like its only a matter of time for Leeds to go up, we have opened up a 5pt buffer on Villa, Southampton and Birmingham and we have Villa next! Player Of The Month Suleman has been in great form this month. With top scorer Johnson out for a long period he has really stepped up along with Stewart. League Table We drop to 3rd but we are right in there with a chance. It is 2 from 3 and we have Birmingham next!
