adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - Pre-Season Transfers The obvious standout is Trincao, who departs for £81m. I got just 45% of that which is frustrating. We've done some good business which reinforces our squad however. We saved money on contracts by releasing Danilo Pereira, Jesus Corona and Kevin Volland who were on mega contracts. Prospects Filipe was agreed in January. He will spend this season in the U19s then I think he will either be loaned for a few years or potentially fast-tracked into the first team. Salazar was recommended by scouts and isn't quite as good as Filipe but nevertheless has great potential. Lopez is what I hope will end up replacing Lazzari on the right-hand side. He had a great season for Bilbao's B team in the Segunda Division last season. First Teamers Really happy about this one, comes in for a good fee and is great for his age. Triggered his £11m release clause as we lost Volland this summer and needed another quality option up front. Great scoring record in Brazil. Absolute steal from relegated Alaves. Finally we have a quality ball-winner for our system. Still relatively young too. Happy to have got this one done early on. Though I think that we overpaid for him, he is crucial because he is able to play on the right-hand side and in the middle, so he will be a great utilityman for us. Trincao replacement for now. Was the best we could afford. Early Results Obviously we weren't going to beat Monaco's superteam with Pietro Pellegri and co but otherwise a great start. That league table is way too early but it makes us look good I hate being a third seed every year.

adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - October Update Disappointing loss to Atletico but we're still going fairly strong in the league so far. An annoying draw against Olympiakos but at this stage I'm quietly confident we can get out of this group.

adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - November Update Still doing well in the league and Lopez is tearing through everything in sight albeit some iffy results against Las Palmas and Racing. The best part is that I scouted him at Rijeka and passed on him because we had enough striker depth. Luckily he was still available when I got to Valencia and I triggered his £2.1m release clause - bargain. One game at home to Inter decides whether we're through or not. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - December Update Well... In the last update, we had 29 points now 4 games later we have 32. A very poor month, which culminated in the worst performance of my tenure so far at the Bernabeu. I'm inclined to say that Real Madrid's demolition of us is second only to Valencia taking my Rijeka side apart two years ago for the worst game of the save so far. The Espanyol game was horrible as well: Two goals in added time and 3 goals from 3 shots on target. There were points last night where if I took the lead and the opposition hadn't had a shot on target yet, I knew that our lead wouldn't last at all. However, as the fixture sheet shows, it was a busy schedule and fatigue and rotation probably played a factor in our dip in form. Between the losses to Espanyol and Villareal we demolished Inter Milan - a team who have won 3 titles on this save and are lead by a scary Andrea Pinamonti (Crazy how Italy have Pellegri and Pinamonti this year) - at home to secure qualification and thus there was fatigue as a cause of this. The board are now satisfied with our European performance having qualified from a tough group. On paper, Leverkusen looks like a kind draw, particularly considering some of the other teams in the draw but Leverkusen have won the last two Bundesliga titles and it will be a tough tie. The French league coefficient is about to be bolstered (although it is doing well on my save, I would love to manage in France at some point) - all four qualified teams got out of their groups. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - January Update Really good month and any December worries have been replaced through a string of good results which sees us draw close to 2nd place. Out of the cup but the board aren't worried and neither am I. I love Diego Lopez
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - February Update Annoying to concede an away goal against Leverkusen in the Champions League. Very good form in the league and a phenomenal scoring run for Lopez, halted when I rested him against Celta. Massive win against Barcelona, huge performance there. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - March Update Decent league form and we're still in line to finish second this year. Heartbreaking loss on penalties in Germany. Shocked we managed to get away goal in truth. We didn't show up in the shootout and truthfully probably deserved to go out in normal time. Youth Intake Faye has a long way to go physically, Jimenez looks decent. Munoz doesn't look that great and it's good to see a Croatian influence with Jurina coming through. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - May Update A very impressive win at Real Madrid and we finish 2nd in La Liga. A brilliant season overall. Season review up next
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2025-26 - Season Review A really good season overall, finishing second in the league and getting out of a relatively tough Champions League group. The media believe our trouncing of Barcelona to be the moment of the season and I agree - what a performance that was. Diego Lopez - what a player. After hitting 27 in the league last season many would have predicted a one-season wonder but Diego matched that tally and added a league-best 18 assists. His performances culminated in 10 player of the match awards and his average rating of 7.71 set a club record. The awards subsequently tumbled for our Uruguayan sensation. As you can see, during the season I evolved the tactic a little, introducing a deep-lying playmaker at DM and getting rid of the AMC. This benefitted our squad, as it meant Pedro Santos, who is a very exciting prospect, was able to see more minutes in the second half of the season and continue to develop. Martinez proved to be excellent at the Carrilero position, and of course the wingers were able to hurt teams from wide areas through crosses into the box and deep balls that the forwards could latch onto and create from. We continued to play a brand of high-tempo passing football. Here are the men that made it happen for us: Meret repeated his performance from last season with exactly 43 conceded and 15 clean sheets, mirroring last year. Excellent keeper. Trejos has developed nicely since moving from Palmeiras in January last season, emerging as one of the first names on the team sheet. Signed for a bargain fee from Sevilla, Agudo quickly settled into our back three and became a starter for us this year, displacing the likes of Jeison Murillo. An experienced head, Gonzalez also started for most of the season on the left-hand side of the three. Has had a great career for Valencia. Eiting and Santos shared the role of DLP this season. Santos is a prospect with huge potential and is a key part of the near future here at Valencia. Eiting is a quality option either from the bench or starting in the role. In what will likely be his last season for the club, as he seeks a return to Italy, Lazzari delivered several great displays from the right-hand side and was one of the main creators in the side, providing 8 assists in the league. Another player who came in for a really good fee from Alaves, Martinez had a brilliant debut campaign in the midfield three The advanced playmaker in my side, Felix was a creative force for us this season, drawing interest from Leverkusen and PSG in the process. Redondo, signed from Betis, and youngster Martins shared the load on the left-hand side this season. Martins excites me as a long-term option at this position. The Zambian forward was in inspired form this season, notching 15 league goals and 7 assists in a great season. Eventually played as false nine for us, mainly due to his ability as a creator. The main man. Where to start. Lead the team in goals, assists, POTM's and average rating. All at 20 years old. Hero.
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - Pre-Season/August Update Transfers Wow, what a summer. An incredible amount of business done both in and out. Firstly, Iago departed for West Ham. He began to annoy me with some outlandish contract demands so we shipped him off to England. This was a transfer I intended to make. The next big piece of business was Meret, leaving for Man United for an astonishing £65m fee. He was solid but to get that much for him is incredible. I also think that I have a better and younger replacement in for a much cheaper fee. Camarasa and Lazzari went due to their wages no longer reflecting their abilities. Cano and Costa departed in order to secure first-team football. Costa will definitely be good enough for us one day, hence I insisted on a £26.5m buyback clause in the deal. Next, very late into the window Joao Felix started asking for a move. I believed at 26 it was the perfect time to sell and replace him with a younger player. After drawn-out negotiations, I settled on £50m to Bayern Munich. A young prospect who will play with the B team and likely go out on loan. Lazzari replacement. Triggered his £27m relegation release clause from Swansea. 19 crossing is mouth-watering especially considering the main function of right-midfielders in my formation is to stay wide and swing balls in. Meret replacement. Portuguese number 1. A brilliant fee for a keeper who is already very good at 26 and still has a long career as a keeper ahead of him. I wanted to shift some of the attacking emphasis away from Lopez as there were times last season he was taking too much of the load I felt. Vicente's fee is surprisingly low for his ability. A physical machine who can finish. Joao Felix's replacement. Though he probably won't perform to the same level as the Portuguese maestro, he's 6 years younger, he came in for a significantly lower fee and in two years his registration won't be an issue, just like Lopez this season. After selling Reiver, I wanted another cover midfielder and Zorio is perfect at the Carrilero role and clearly still has a bit of potential. Also long-term could sell for more than we paid. Another brilliant Carrilero who can deputise in defensive midfield. Notably, after signing he got his first Italy cap, following 51 U21 CAPS. Nathaniel Chalobah levels of usage there. August Facing newly-promoted teams away from home is our absolute kryptonite... A brilliant result against Atletico however, their powers are waning on this save apparently. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - September Update Heart-breaking loss to Real Madrid in the league after we had fought back from 3-1 down to level the game. Thankfully in the game afterward we produced a huge performance at home to Chelsea (who have won the last 4 Premier League titles). A loss to Juventus was disappointing but I think at home we can beat them. The board are keen to keep me around. I've taken this deal for now but whether I see it out is still to be seen. If I have a realistic chance of winning the league/Champions League within the next few seasons, I will stay put. If not, I will go elsewhere (hopefully Chelsea!) and try to win the Champions League there.
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - October Update A good month in the league and we keep pace with the two super-teams of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Frustrating late equaliser conceded against Sociedad. It's really tight in the Champions League at the moment as we battle Chelsea and Juventus. Must be goals scored that puts Chelsea ahead of us in the table.
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - November Update Great month domestically. Vicente and Lopez are playing out of their minds right now. Tough loss away to Chelsea but that was always going to be the toughest fixture of the group stage. Chelsea have a frightening team which both makes me happy as I get to see them do well and a little bit disappointed because I want to manage them like I did last year but it would be less of a rebuilding project. Who knows.

adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - December Update What a month. We could not get a win for toffee in the league. Injuries to Tholix, Eiting and Redondo and an earlier injury to Zorio exposed the overwhelming limitation of our squad - depth. We need a huge January window to get ourselves back on track and hopefully secure a top-3 finish. This month is devastating because before I thought if Barcelona had slowed down a bit we would have still been in a title race come the end of the season. I think it's fair to say that dream is now long gone. The one positive result you can see is a massive performance at home to Juventus to see us through to the knockout round of the Champions League. I see Benfica as a winnable tie. Let's hope we can have a good run this season.

adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 Unbelievable. We had 32 points at the end of November. We've obtained 9 points in two months. Jose Vicente had 7 La Liga goals in his first 11 games. He hasn't scored in the league since. We can smash Real Madrid 5-1 in a pointless cup with some of the best football I've seen then lose 3-1 and put only 4 shots on target from 15 4 days later. FM is testing my patience right now. Injuries to Daka and Vicente leave us with two fit strikers. Both Daka and Vicente are our specialist complete forwards as well. Fixture congestion has never been this bad. Champions League qualification looks a million miles away. Here's the one transfer, £17.5m from Sevilla

adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - February Update A really good month overall as we got a fairly easy run in the league and came out of it unscathed. Our B Team overcame Real Sociedad in the semi-final of the Spanish Cup, setting up a chance for my second piece of silverware this season when we face Atletico, albeit in Madrid, for the final towards the end of the season. Another standout result was the 2-0 home win against Benfica in the Champions League. I'm very pleased that we were able to prevent them from scoring an away goal, which makes our job in Lisbon a little bit easier.
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - March Update Terrible result in the Champions League in spite of some good league form. Then a bizarre break for 22 days before a game against Athletic Bilbao. Benfica just tore us apart. Tholix getting suspended in the first leg did not help our case. They wiped our lead out within 6 minutes of the game starting. Awful stuff. Another awful piece of news: Youth Intake Meh, for the third year running. adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - April Update Frustration. An unfortunate string of injuries has caused us to slip this month with a number of horrible results. Of the 6 injuries here, 5 are first team players and we've been hit hard, as Spanish league registration confines us to just 25 players, thus we have been unable to call up B-team players to come off the bench, meaning many of our players are fatigued. This has affected our results and the timing of goals conceded, as seen here: It's unfortunate, but at least there was one positive piece of news this month as we managed to clinch the Copa Del Rey after a late win against Atletico. Let's just get to the end of the season.
adamdfry
Valencia CF - 2026-27 - May Update/Season Review Disappointing season overall, we should've been better. adamdfry
Summer of 2027 Update - Time to move onwards My time at Valencia has come to an end. It was a very enjoyable 3-year spell for stretches, but looking at the ability of Real Madrid and Barcelona and the premise of this save being a journeyman, I felt it was the right time to move from Valencia in spite of me signing a deal to 2031 earlier in the season. During my three years at Valencia, we managed to win 2 trophies; the Europa League in 2025 and the Copa del Rey in 2027. The development of Diego Lopez from a prospect to one of Europe's finest young forwards has been extremely enjoyable. Spoiler Trejos and Lopez then... Overall, I think the Valencia I leave is in a much stronger position now than when I found it, with young assets like Trejos, Clementino and Lopez who will collect enough money to keep the club going for an eternity. This marks the end of Chapter 2 - The Spanish Inquisition and the question is where next for Sven Adzic?
adamdfry
Association Sportive Monaco - July 2027 Monaco will be our next venture. A huge step up from Valencia as we go from a team on the outskirts of European contention to a genuine European contender. Monaco have been formidable during this save, winning two Ligue 1 titles and 3 Champions Leagues. I have signed a deal to 2030. So, what drew me to Monaco? Well, mostly this guy who I tried to get at Valencia but was beaten to by Monaco. Hopefully he will undergo a Lopez-esque development. Other players here are an aged David De Gea, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Pietro Pellegri as well as this guy. He cost £111m from Lyon last summer. So, the aim? Get my hands on some silverware. I have a three-year deal and hopefully we can make the most of this time then move on elsewhere. Before agreeing to going to Monaco, I took a Chelsea interview and was rejected as they re-appointed Carlo Ancelotti who was managing Monaco. The aim is to go there following Monaco, before getting into some more long-term projects on this save.

adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - September Update Pretty good league form but two horrendous results in the Champions League. adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - October Update Brilliant wins against Lyon and PSG but the Champions League situation is becoming very, very alarming. adamdfry
Great performance and result... but could those Danish frauds hold out against Juventus? Absolutely ****ing not Unbelievable. With a goal at home to Copenhagen or had Abel Ruiz not scored a late winner for Barca we would be through. Unbelievable amount of bad luck to get Barcelona as a 2nd seed and Juventus of all teams at 3rd seed. Then, to have to play both of them away first. Awful. One of my worst FM experiences. adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - December Update An adamdfry-managed team performing during December!? We were never going to beat them away from home. Through in the Europa League. Dutch champions Vitesse up next. Every month from now is going to be very busy. Youth Intake Rekik is probably the best player we've seen in any of the intakes on this save and will definitely have a good career in the near future. I am excited to see a Croatian come through as well! Monaco have essentially maxed-out youth stats so we were bound to get a decent intake.
adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - March Update Solid win against Lyon and we scraped past Vitesse in the Europa League. A narrow penalty win against Toulouse in the cup. Tough draw next up.
adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - April Update Dumped out of the Europa League but I'm not overly concerned. Through to another cup final as we aim for a domestic triple crown. Two goals from Mario Ivkovic gave us the Coupe de la Ligue title. One piece of transfer business conducted this month: Ossie Robinson will arrive from Watford for free. Hopefully he will be the long-term replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. I did this deal because it appeared as good business, it also allows us to offload a central midfielder in the summer to save money.
adamdfry
AS Monaco - 2027-28 - May Update/Season Review Champions of France Great final points total in the end! Also, we secured the French Cup in a really boring game. Season Review Unbelievable domestically but a poor season in Europe. Winning the Champions League has to be the priority next season. Players Keeper: A legendary career with Atletico, Man United and Monaco ends after this year. We need to purchase a replacement. Right-backs: One of our weaker positions. Vargas is on MASSIVE wages for his abilities and I think Valle is better as well as being younger. Centre-backs: Setien and Witsenburg were formidable as a partnership this season as we shipped just 17 goals in the league. Mammana is a good player but is in decline and I want to get his wages off the bill. Left-backs: Slaoui is fantastic and Grimaldo is a quality back-up, albeit a fairly costly one. Right-wing: What a player. 26 assists. Bonkers. Central-midfielders: With Robinson arriving, I think one of this four will go. Schmitz has a great deal of potential, I think. Left-wing: Lemar was our player of the season up until his achilles injury. His only drawback is his £275k p/w salary to be honest. Brekalo, the first of two Croatians in the team, is a creative player capable playing on either side - but is getting on. I need a younger player in this role. Strikers: Pellegri scored 26 league goals and was a massive part of our success. Ivkovic and Park recorded tallies of 13 and 12 league goals respectively, but mainly playing in a CF-Su role and consequently had good assist numbers as well as goalscoring. Park is an interesting one. I have contemplated selling him as he would fetch a huge fee - but I really don't want to strengthen a European rival. Will be interesting to see how the situation develops here. Next season: I'm hoping for a repeat of our league success and a much better Champions League showing - let's hope we don't get a draw like that! Barcelona went on to win the whole thing so we can't draw them next season and likewise Juventus will be a first seed as they won the Serie A... phew! adamdfry
Wow... new chairman, same revolving door policy. Very harsh considering Chelsea made the Champions League final Should I have given Valencia one more season?
Tajerio
Park is an incredible player. 20 for OTB and Anticipation? I'd wager he finds space a lot. I don't know exactly how you've set up the team, but I'd think he'd be a more lethal first option than Pellegri.
