Northernpilgrim
We've made a 100% start to the season in August, we're yet to concede a goal, and my forwards are scoring plenty as we sit second in the table, ahead of a trip to Amiens
Northernpilgrim
The 100pc start continued through September, but our goals conceded column has it's first entry of the season which leaves us top of the table, three points ahead of Monaco, who are surely our only serious title rivals this season?
Northernpilgrim
The perfect start came to an end in October, but we remain unbeaten domestically and in Europe. No complaints with either draw, as we let a 2 goal lead slip in stoppage time against Liverpool, but overcame a two goal half time deficit against Toulouse, where we were missing several players through injury. We ended the month top of the table, ahead of AS Monaco, with everyone else barring Lille already adrift

The rules say that the next league is unlocked when the league is won, and I then create the next opportunity. That obviously doesn't guarantee that I'll get the Juventus job this summer, but I think I need to get it quickly. Ideally the Champions League needs to be won this season or at Juventus, otherwise I've got to do it when I return to Europe, which might delay the end of the challenge. Northernpilgrim
We've managed to extend our unbeaten start through to the end of November, but there was a frustrating draw at St Etienne which left us 11 points clear at the top of Ligue 1. It's looking increasingly likely that Italy will be available for next season, but I'm not going to get complacent. We still need to keep focused, keep winning, and get the job done as quickly as possible.
Northernpilgrim
Shock, horror!! We've lost! (But not in the league). Here are December's surprising results as we take a huge 14 point lead in the Ligue 1 table into 2020. If we blow this, I'll be very annoyed!
Northernpilgrim
January was another 100pc month and we remain firmly on course for the title, with the lead now 19 points I've also added one more player to the squad, spending £49.5m on Daniele Rugani from Juventus
Northernpilgrim
We lost to Man City in the Champions League, but kept our unbeaten league record through February and the gap at the top has narrowed slightly, but we're still 18 points clear
Northernpilgrim
We have failed to go the whole league season unbeaten. Here are March's results, confirming a woeful defeat at our only title rivals, Monaco and the league table, confirming we still need at least one more win to be champions, as we have a 15 point lead, with 6 games left. Northernpilgrim
April was a tough month, as we struggled past Monaco in the cup, then lost for a second time in the league, this time at Marseille but it was enough to confirm the title, so I will be creating the Juventus vacancy after the last match of the season. Northernpilgrim
We had a perfect end to the season, securing the double in what will hopefully be my one and only season in France and the final table looked like this, with the winning margin eventually 18 points

Northernpilgrim
Not a great start to the season, and we blew a 4-0 lead against Guingamp leaving work to do if we're to defend our title

Northernpilgrim
September's results were not brilliant either the 0-0 draw with Brest denying us the chance to end the month top of the table
Northernpilgrim
We went through October unbeaten and have at last hit top spot in Ligue
Northernpilgrim
We then had a perfect November, including completing a Champions League double over Barcelona keeping us top of Ligue 1 and securing Champions League progress at the expense of Barcelona, who drop into the Europa League. All that remains is a shootout with Leverkusen for top spot. Interestingly, Real Madrid haven't secured top spot in their group (they're second, but can still win it), so winning the group might not mean missing the big boys. Northernpilgrim
December results were decent, but we missed out on top spot in the Champions League as we lost in Germany ending the month top of Ligue 1 and in a bizarre last round of Champions League games, Celtic beat Barcelona, depriving them of even Europa League action after Christmas

Northernpilgrim
Quick question for anyone following this: If you were managing this team in the same circumstances, and therefore looking for this season to be your last before moving on to Juve, would you make a January signing, or leave the team as it is? I'm not sure myself, I'm halfway through January and haven't done any business yet. Part of me thinks 'what if this isn't the last season? I'll need new players for the future', and the other part doesn't want PSG to get stronger as it'll make winning the CL with Juve even harder. Any thoughts? Northernpilgrim
January was looking great until we lost Rulli to injury ahead of the Nice game although we do still sit top of the table, with a game in hand I did get one player in in the end. I managed to increase the transfer budget as we were under budget on wages, and I've also spread the fee over three years to enable the deal to happen (and possibly limit any successor's spending power) signing Semedo as a new right back
Northernpilgrim
We went unbeaten through February, although we were surprisingly held at Angers, but we were brilliant at home to my old club, and are almost guaranteed a place in the last 8 of the Champions League. I was slightly annoyed that we conceded, as we were 4-0 up when they scored and we end the month with the title firmly in our sights
Northernpilgrim
We did lose in the League in March, but we progressed in the cups and Europe with an 8 point lead at the top but facing a tough Champions League quarter final
Northernpilgrim
April was a perfect month, again at the perfect time, as we took control of the Ligue 1 title race, won our first trophy of the season, reached a cup final, and smashed Real Madrid to reach the semi finals of the Champions League leaving the league table like this but facing another massive task to get through to the Champions League final. If we beat Man Utd, I think we'll lift the trophy, but that's a big if

Northernpilgrim
I tried to get Juventus down to a 1 year contract, but they refused to do it. I still need jobs at two big clubs, (Liverpool and a second stint at Chelsea) so I don't really want to resign at the end of the season to force through a move to Egypt. I will still create and apply for the job at the end of each season, but it might need until my contract expires to make that happen. This is one of the reasons why the challenge may be harder than it looks, the jumps from big clubs to small clubs and back again. I'm going to be interested in what happens to my reputation as I journey through Africa, Asia and America, before returning to Europe

Northernpilgrim
Not a good start to the season. We blew a 3-0 lead against Atalanta, trailed 4-3, levelled again at 4-4 with 8 minutes left, and conceded a winner in stoppage time. At the moment I'm putting it down to having a defensive midfielder at centre back in the second half due to injury, but if it happens when we're at full strength, I'll need to think some more and that's reflected in the league table
Northernpilgrim
Our indifferent form continued through September, not helped by an injury crisis that left us with either one or no fit centre backs for the whole of September and the League title looks a long way off already. My Juventus side are definitely getting better (thankfully I now have two fit centre backs, so I'm in a better place with the squad), so hopefully we can increase the pressure on Milan over the second half of the season. I know it's a couple of moves away, but I've spotted a problem. The two Indian teams I need to manage are both in the Indian Super League, which runs in parallel to the I-League which is on FM18. I hadn't realised this, so these teams are not available. Indian geography not being my strong point, I've resorted to Googling the I-League, and it looks like Churchill Brothers are the best geographical replacement for Mumbai FC, and East Bengal should replace Atletico de Kolkata. Anybody got any better ideas?
