Makoto Nakamura Posted August 13, 2017 Author Share Posted August 13, 2017 April 2020 Another DFB-Pokal defeat, this time against Bayern in the Semi-Final and we've also got a lot of work to do in the Champions League as we started brightly against Man City but they ended up with the win thanks to goals from Aguero and Saul. Makoto Nakamura Posted August 14, 2017 Author Share Posted August 14, 2017 2020/21 Pre-Season A more mixed pre-season but we destroyed Bradford, we were very disappointing against Arminia Bielefeld needing to score in the 118th minute to take it to penalties, they've just been promoted to the 2nd tier. Board and media expect Champions League. Niklas was the only major departure since Bayern met his release clause. Makoto Nakamura Posted August 14, 2017 Author Share Posted August 14, 2017 September 2020 A mixed month with the low being the loss to Feriburg who are struggling early on, despite this we're up in 2nd and all of the big clubs other than RB Leipzig have started a bit slower than normal with Dortmund in 8th, Leverkusen in 10th and Bayern in 13th after 5 games. In the Champions League there was a shock home draw against Celtic but then we thrashed Inter 5-2 to put us top of the group with a game to play, all we need to do now is beat Anderlecht away from home, hopefully we can do that. Same expectations as last year, hopefully I can do better in the DFB-Pokal. One major departure with Klostermann being tempted by Bayern...I know what it feels like for Southampton now. Still 2 games to play as well but we managed to get a surprisingly easy win against 10-man Bayern Munich! A negative though is that we're out of the cup yet again following a narrow loss to Dortmund and we also have an uphill battle to win against Juventus in the Champions League since Goretzka managed to get himself suspended for the home leg.
