You're not in the FA Cup or any competition that could bring in a big gate, and you can't sell any amateur players. Your gate income must surely be a tiny fraction of your monthly loan payments. Where did 250K come from? I don't know. Before the takeover we were in the reds. The new guy took over, took up a bank loan and we've got maybe 100k in the bank. Since then we increased our bankroll each month somehow. (Don't ask me how, but we did). I'm currently at the beginning of September and the season's about to start. Will post my report of September and we'll see how it goes.

Areolys
Season Recap 2023 / 2024 Head Coach’s season recap Yup. Looks like we're on a roll! Despite losing twice against Hartfield (For some reason they're our Kryptonite.) We managed to come on top once again! The team is working better and better now, despite our new rotating system. We've established a good mix now between the top young players and some more experienced and proven "old stars" in the squad. This team is hungry for success which makes it easy to motivate them to go above and beyond their beliefs. How long will our form last? I don't know, but I suspect we'll soon meet stronger and better opponents. It's only then where we'll see what we're really made of. Enjoy it while it lasts and be ready to put in the work when needed. For now, "we're on a roll - so we must be doing something right." Results & Tables Youth Intake Transfers out Too bad to loose Dexter. He was one of our top defenders. At least we've got enough talent to replace him without too big of a worry. Could've been worse. Full Squad English & International Football Season Recap Final Words Smooth sailing for now until we hit the higher leagues and some better competition. I reckon this might last for another year or two before we'll hit the next bump. Until then we should have a better team, better facilities and an established youth system. I'm also looking forward to getting our youth to play in their own league. It'll help out the whole team once they get more play time without taking up spots in the senior squad. So far we always find 2-4 new youth intakes that make it straight into our first team. I'm also looking more at personalities now and I'm looking forward to soon having some professional tutors. Italy's Andrea Belotti was the player of the tournament and Spains Asier Villalibre gets the Golden Boot with 5 Goals in front of Divock Origi and Iñaki Williams (both 4 Goals). I might take on the challenge after my SC Freamunde save. Two major problems really. 1. I don't know how the OP does it, but it's impossible to stop losing money. It's not the manager's problem directly, but no money means no upgrades, staff etc. 2. Amateur contracts means your good players and staff can leave for free any time. But you always have to remember, whatever problems you face, the opposition teams in your division do too. A frequent pattern I encounter is that mid-season I'm bumbling around in mid-table, and then from January my rivals lose all their best players, leaving me to put a run together and win the league. Those AI chaps just don't have our man-management skills!

It's not THAT big of a deal if you can just go and get another player in the transfer market. But if you only rely on your youth system this can potentially end in misery. However, it also seems that my guys are very loyal to the club now, since hardly any players left my club in the past seasons. When I played with a free transfer market they weren't as loyal and moved more freely, but it's a lot easier if you can just go and "buy" a new player if you need one for a specific position (for free) than to having to rely on your youth intake. But it's fun! For whatever reason, I keep getting grants of 10k each month. I don't know why, but I think it's due to the clubs takeover a few seasons back. Guess I was just lucky. 7 hours ago, north_london_fan said: Good job on another great season. Keep it up. Thanks! Will try my best

As much as it's heart-breaking, the money is being invested in youth and training facilities so I guess we'll be the Ajax of the highlands in a few years. Never mind that I've got to get through the season with 2 CDs and one striker.

I am unbelievably stupid. Just before the transfer window I released 6 17-18 year olds whom I'd decided were not long-term prospects. Then the chairman sold my best 3 players, leaving me with a squad of 30 to populate both my first team and U18 squads. It was only after this that I realised that the 15 year olds I had created as my starting squad were turning 19 and were no longer eligible to play in the U18s league or cup matches. I was just about coping with mixing and matching and getting away with a couple of greys in the line-up when the big whammy came: the Scotland U19s manager has suddenly called up TWELVE of my kids into the international squad. I'm left with 18 players to somehow play 2 sets of fixtures simultaneously and get us through the cup rounds without extra time or replays. Oops. Areolys
Season Recap 2024 / 2025 Head Coach’s season recap Up, up, up and away! We did struggle a bit mid-season but managed to get back on track and win our third title and promotion in a row. We'll profit from our great run and keep it going as long as possible. For now, we're on the right track to success. Oh, what did you hear? We threw the last game just to make sure AFC Hurst will be relegated? Come on now. I mean, their trainer was kind of a dick, but still. We would never do such a thing... Would we? Results & Tables Youth Intake Transfers out Another year with little movement. Our squad is growing ever since. As long as we don't need to pay for the players we'll keep them in the club. Once we can actually sell them or have to pay for them we will start to trim the tribe... Full Squad English & International Football Season Recap Final Words Took a little bit longer for this season to end with the festive days and all. Next season will likely also take a while. We'll be getting some visitors over new year's so no time for FM :-/ Wasn't as excited to play the save during the festive period, but I'll keep sticking with it for now. Can't wait to finally get to the higher tiers and become a semi-pro team.

Areolys
Season Recap 2025 / 2026 Head Coach’s season recap Can't hold us down. Another near perfect season. The team worked well together and we have a great system and good morale. The other teams can't compete with our efficiency and our great defense. Results & Tables Youth Intake Transfers out This year we lost a few players, but nothing we couldn't cope with. We're still in good shape and our main squad is as strong as ever, if not even stronger. Full Squad Senior Squad U23s/Reserves English & International Football Season Recap Final Words 1/3 done and still 14 promotions to go. We'll keep on keeping on. Currently, we still don't have competitive youth matches and my players don't develop much. I did rotate the players a bit more in the past couple seasons, but it didn't help much, if at all. With that in mind, I will only play my first 11 again and worry about developing my young talents once we've got a second team with competitive matches. Hopefully it won't be too long.
