April 2013

Geraint continues to settle well at Woodlands and has now set 3 goals up in 10 league games, if he continues as he is doing then it should be a record season for number of assists - we just need that first league goal - come on Geraint! Mr Duffy will be back in training this coming month, that is until he picks up another injury - what next - broken fingernail?

Jamezzinho has 6 games under his belt so far this season with a goal and an assist, not playing as well as last season but plenty of time to pick up form. Fyre is closing in on 100 league games for second string Sportul II who play in the Romanian Liga IV Bucuresti, currently enjoying his best season with 41 league games, 18 goals, 13 assists and 6 man of the match awards. If he doesn't continue with this club, I can see a long line waiting to snap him up - that said, his contract does not run out until June 2014.

Arawn has been given the squad number 32, but will be playing for the second team to start with. The season is up and running and he will be waiting to take his chance with both hands. Praveet has 9 goals in 21 league games, enjoying his best season of his career he also has 5 assists and 4 man of the match awards, couple more league goals and he will move over the 20 career goal mark.

As always, finally Zaki is plodding along with 6 league games and an assist, playing so much better than last season lets hope he does enough over the next couple of seasons to move on to a higher rep league.

Monthly updates are great mate (like to check in on the latest injuries) but if it becomes too much with running th other sign up don't worry about it. Half yearly or yearly would still be good.

May 2013

A third of the way through the season and Geraint is currently considering a new contract from Woodlands, currently played 17 senior games for his new club with 3 assists and a red card. Well on his way to beating last seasons assist haul, here is to hoping he signs the new contract and stays with a club longer than 1 year. Duffy has stayed fit for a month with is close to a new record for him, needs 1 more league game to clock up half a century for the club, let's hope his injury woes are behind him.

Jamezzinho has attracted minor interest from Mexican side Morelia, having played 13 games this season scoring a goal and setting one up he is starting to make a name for himself. Fyre Mahn missed most of this month with a twisted knee but has still played over 40 league games this season for the 2nd string scoring 18 goals, setting 13 up and taking home 6 man of the match awards.

Arawn has played a couple of matches for the second team and is now match fit, lets get this season started now is the hope of his fans. A record scoring season so far for Praveet, hitting 9 goals in 24 games with 5 assists and 4 man of the match awards, he now has 18 goals in 45 league games during his career. Seems to have settled down nicely after a rocky start to his new club.

There are strong rumours that Zaki may be on his way to South Africa! Orlando Pirates are strongly believed to be putting a bid together for this Afghan lad with 13 games under his belt this season.

June 2013

So it's the end of the 3rd season and it's quite an exciting time for a few of our players with possible moves on the cards.

Geraint has signed an extension to his contract until November 2015, let's hope the coaching staff get stuck into the player as he has not moved forward in ability this season and has over the last 3 years not really changed much, currently has 13 league and 3 assists to his name for this seasons efforts. Steve Duffy if ever fit plays and plays well, and as such could be making his move to English football and Blue Square Premiership AFC Telford. 2 clean sheets in the 6 league games during his 'fit' time.

19 league games, a goal and an assist for Jamezzinho however interest has cooled from Mexico. Porto from Portugal are sniffing round Fyre Mahn, it cost around half a million to tempt him from Sportul were three seasons in the 2nd string has seen 29 goals, 20 assists and 6 man of the match awards in 83 games.

Arawn is out with a sports hernia, and even with the moves, his career has stalled big time, in number of games that is - maybe he needs to sit down with his coaches and look at how to keep him fit. End of a third season in the Indian Premiership for Praveet has seen him move onto 18 goals in 45 games, still has a year to go on his contract.

Zaki is still be looked at by the Orlando Pirates and has played 19 games this season, scoring 2 goals and setting 2 up.

Injured again?!? Moridin is more Mr. Glass then Saha and Hargreaves combined!

Me and you both mate, I've only got injury proneness of 13 as well! What if it was 20?

Move to the BSP wouldn't be too bad, might get me noticed in England.

:) Moridins Injury proneness is only 9 and still he's been almost constantly injured for the last 2 seasons.

July 2013

An injury during a game will mean around 6 weeks on the sidelines for Geraint Alcarde, having a steady season - this will come to a blow to the young man. Come the turn of the year Steve Duffy will no longer be a Monaghan United player, swapping Ireland for England, the young stopper makes his move to the Blue Square Premiership and AFC Telford, hopefully the AFC medical staff are ready for the young man - all joking aside, a decent move in my opinion and one that should see him develop more as a player.

Jamezzinho may be on the move to Olympiakos Nicosia and Cypriot football, fingers crossed he makes the move - with a year left on his current contract his club could cash in on him. Fyre won't be going anywhere just yet, with Porto pulling out of signing him - back to 2nd tier football for his fourth season, he has also turned down a new contract offer.

Arawn is back and playing regular football, all be it for his clubs 2nd side, 6 months of injuries slowed the number of matches played down - but he has still managed to develop all the mental skills of the game.

Praveet's team was relegated last season, and he now finds himself in the 2nd tier of Indian football, let's hope the young man gets a move soon - he did also make it into the Mohammedan best eleven of the season. Zaki has Nottingham Forest sniffing round him at the moment, closing in on 50 league games, this Afghan International with 16 caps could well be in the move.

August 2013

Geraint is close to being fit, and will hope to add a few more games to his total before the end of the season, 58 league games to his career so far and 9 assists, this young midfield player needs to progress quickly or he may spend the rest of his career being a 'nearly' man. Steve Duffy continues to try his best for current club Monaghan, but also has one eye on his move, 57 league games to his career with 13 clean sheets.

Still no move for Jamezzinho, 53 league games, 4 goals and 4 assists for this left back is good - let's hope the young man gets a move soon. Fyre is also a player that does not have a move in the pipeline and as such plods on with his current team, 87 league games 31 goals, 21 assists and 8 man of the match awards should really mean a chance with the first team.

Arawn seems to have settled down a little and now has 3 goals in 6 Second Division games, meaning 4 goals in 17 league games so far in his career - lets hope the lad keeps going this season. Praveet has got to hope a club comes in and takes him back into the Premiership of India, until then, its 2nd Division football.

Finally Zaki has missed out on a move and continues to play for his club - 51 league games, 3 goals and 6 assists so far for this young man.

Current Rep and Current Ability in (brackets) after the player name.

1887 - Praveet Mujeeb (87)

1474 - Arawn Moridin (77)

1219 - Fyre Mahn (70)

1211 - Steve Duffy (72)

672 - Geraint Alacarde (54)

September 2013

Geraint's career seems to have stalled at the moment since signing the new contract with Woodlands, seen only as back up to the team, he is struggling to make appearances and in turn his development is slowing down. Couple of months left to the end of the season, he has played 17 senior games this season with 3 assists. Meanwhile, Steve Duffy can play with the knowledge, come the turn of the year he will be in England and one step closer to playing at a higher level. 13 senior games this season, letting in 12 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets, let's hope he isn't making the move to be a back up keeper.

Still no moves for Jamezzinho, with 37 senior games to his name this season, scoring 3 goals, setting 1 up and being named man of the match once - a great season. Let's hope the team from Cyprus puts a bid in sooner or later. Fyre really needs to turn all contract offers from his current club down and become a free agent, 4 goals in 8 second string games shows the lad is turning into a very good striker, yet he can't break into the first team, 33 goals in 91 2nd string games is not a bad return and if he continues as he is doing, the 18 of last season should be beaten.

A goal every other game so far for Arawn who seems to be back from injury and doing well, another couple of months like this and I can see him being moved up into the first team, onto his 4th club and only 19 years old, he has played just 19 senior games with 5 goals, however he has had some very good coaches that have helped develop him. Praveet is playing like a man who wants a move, 7 senior games, 4 goals, 2 assists is the sort of form you hit when you have something to prove.

Zaki meanwhile must be frustrated as all interest has cooled on him, 35 senior games, 3 goals and 4 assists for this centre back says i'm better than the league im playing in - but will anyone take a chance on this young Afghan?

October 2013

Classed as back up for the first team and 2 more years of his Woodlands contract to run, Geraint may need a loan move to kick start his career. Not getting much game time at the moment, although he is happy at the club and happy to see what happens. Steve Duffy however has a couple more months of staying injury free and he will be on the move to England, looking forward to the move he will hope that the better training and experience will continue the development of the player who has 3 clean sheets in 15 league games this season.

Still no bids from Cyprus and as such its a case of getting the league games under the belt for Jamezzinho, now on 42 for the season. Fyre Mahn is looking to get a loan move away from his current club, he really can't do much more than the 35 league goals, 22 league assists and 11 league man of the match awards in 94 league games, needs to step up in level, but the last few years will be good for him in the long run.

Arawn is over the moon at the moment, he's playing 2nd string football and staying fit. 4 league goals in 9 league games is not a bad return. Praveet is another player that is happy at the moment, and second division football seems too easy for him, having scored 9 goals in 10 league games - also 4 assists, another player that needs a move.

Zaki is out for 3 weeks or so with a damaged elbow, 40 league games this season with 3 goals and 5 assists should see him moving, but the clubs sniffing have not put solid bids in yet.
