Been playing FM since FM07 and am now starting an FM blog for FM2012 based on my experiences and knowledge gained from this forum and other sources. I can't really remember all the sources, but for those I do, I'll post links to the source rather than state what it says or theorise on my blog. Anyway, here's my blog: http://hidayat-amran.blogspot.com/

  1. Hi, how are you able to see the roles of opp players by the way?
  2. Season 2021/22 Review Tonbridge Angels FC Season Review: Lost out in the playoffs finals to Wrexham, but reaching the playoffs was a miracle in itself. To be fair, I was using the 3 strikers tactic, just because I wanted to see what the hype was all about. We broke the record for goals in a season though my team's quality in defence meant that we shipped a shipload too. So you can guess what my aim for next season would be. Board expectations: Vanarama National: Fight against relegation Media prediction: 24th FA Cup: First Round FA Trophy: Second Round Results: Vanarama National: 4th | League Table | Player Stats | Team Stats FA Cup: Third Round FA Trophy: Semi-Finals Season Summary: Transfers Finances Key Performers: Josh Walker: Brought in initially to be an upgrade to Bako. When we switched to the 3 striker formation, realised I need both of them. There were days when he was simply not effective upfront or missing clear cut chances, but he was instrumental in our final push to the playoffs, bagging 8 goals in the final 5 matches. Offrande Zanzala: Top our scoring AND assists charts. If only his passing is a bit better, I would feel a lot happier playing him as the False 9. Jack Paxman: A familiar performer. I can't stress enough how much he's needed in my midfield. Without him, we usually don't create much chances. Youth Prospect: Not worth mentioning. Next Season's Goals: 1) Top Half 2) Central Defence is my main weakness at the moment. 3. Hahah, well, no offence to anyone, but Chelsea is not a club I would pick to groom my player. Actually, none of the huge clubs. Besides, it's surely more romantic, so to say, to lead Huddersfield into a brighter future.
  4. Phew, Huddersfield still in the league. And seems to be performing above expectations.
  5. Any updates coming soon?
  6. And will the goals count if the player's team gets relegated and he plays in the championship or lower in the next seasons, or goals in other competitions, etc? Sorry if I'm asking a lot. Just looking forward to this.
  7. Season 2020/21 Review Tonbridge Angels FC Season Review: Promotion, finally, via playoffs. Billericay were dominant, so there was hardly any chance of beating them to the title. Board expectations: Vanarama National League South: Mid-table Media prediction: 20th FA Cup: Third Qualifying Round FA Trophy: First Round Results: Vanarama National League South: 2nd | League Table | Player Stats | Team Stats FA Cup: Fourth Qualifying Round FA Trophy: Third Round Season Summary: Transfers Finances Key Performers: Jack Sampson: Remember Eli Phipps from last season? I wanted to sign him but he was uninterested at that time, so I ended signing Jack for the TM/DLF role. Eli ended up getting released from his club, but I didn't have the wage budget to sign him at that time. Jack did his job though, scoring 40 goals in 50 apps. Named the 2020/21 Supporters' Player of the Year and was the 2nd runner up for the VNLS Top Goalscorer Award. Shama Bako: Managed 35 goals this season again. Sounds consistent, but if you see the kinda chances he missed, you would feel like killing him like I did. Thinking of converting him to an IF, but his passing and vision are horrible. Named the 1st runner up for the VNLS Top Goalscorer Award. Jack Paxman: I love this guy. He doesn't lead the assist charts but he was instrumental in moving the ball in midfield. We played worse when he isn't around. Youth Prospect: Not worth mentioning. Next Season's Goals: 1) Avoid relegation 2) Hmm.. Should I change my formation? Let me sleep on it. 8. By the way, what happens if a player still ends up getting transferred to a non-English League? And will the goal counts only be considered if it's in the English top-flight?

  10. Season 2019/20 Review Tonbridge Angels FC Season Review: Arrgghh... So close.. We missed out on winning the league by 4 points, settling for second place. And missed out on promotion with a 1-2 defeat to the third-placed team in the playoff finals. Switching to the 5-3-2 WB formation was instrumental in stabilising the defence, but starting to be worried that our attacks are getting predictable. Started the season strong, but our form dipped mid-season after a string of injuries to our key players. Managed to recover in the later part of the season, but by then, we had to settle for second. Board expectations: Vanarama National League South: Avoid relegation Media prediction: 21st FA Cup: Third Qualifying Round FA Trophy: Third Qualifying Round Results: Vanarama National League South: 2nd | League Table | Player Stats | Team Stats FA Cup: Fourth Qualifying Round FA Trophy: Third Qualifying Round Season Summary: Transfers Finances Key Performers: Eli Phipps: Loaned from Colchester. He was out for 6 weeks in mid-season, and that coincided with our dip in form. Played the role of the Big Man in the two strikers partnership that was sorely needed in the team. Won the VNLS Player of the Season award, and the Supporter's Player of the Year. Shama Bako: Managed 35 goals this season playing alongside Eli. He misses some pretty clear cut chances, but still doing his job well enough to be my main striker. Won the VNLS Top Goalscorer award. Steven Cahill: Our signing of the season. Was out for 4 weeks in the later half of the season, but good thing I had just signed another player in the same position. Still missed him in the team, and we played better when he was back in the team. Youth Prospect: Not worth mentioning. Next Season's Goals: 1) I tell the team "Playoffs", but I'm hoping for "Win the League". 2) Hmm.. Should I change my formation? Let me sleep on it. 11. Season 2018/19 Review Tonbridge Angels FC Season Review: Took a while to finish my first season due to health and work reasons, but I finally did. Gotta admit that this FM is probably one of the most difficult version for me to adjust to. The scouting overhaul is a nightmare for LLM but I guess it is more realistic (or so they say). Also, Tonbridge has a very thin-looking squad with players that generally do not fit in my kind of tactics. Defenders' average pace and acceleration of 6?! Tried to get more players as the season goes but it's really difficult getting consistent players or ones that are good to me. Nonetheless, managed to avoid relegation and hope to have an easier time next season. Board expectations: Vanarama National League South: Fight against relegation Media prediction: 21st FA Cup: Third Qualifying Round FA Trophy: Third Qualifying Round Results: Vanarama National League South: 13th | League Table | Player Stats | Team Stats FA Cup: Fourth Qualifying Round FA Trophy: Third Round Season Summary: Transfers Finances Key Performers: Jamie Smith: Wish I had him from the start. Only got him mid-season to shore up a really slow defence line (I don't like to play deep). Quickly became indispensable in my defence line. Harry Smith: Nope, not related to Jamie. He was kind of my gamble. Didn't have enough midfield and I had brought him to the club for a trial. Before the scouting ended, I took a leap of faith to sign him and he was great for most of the season. Turns out he can be quite inconsistent, but well, he did the job for me more often than not. Shama Bako: Can you believe that we didn't have a single natural striker at the club when I took over?! Brought Shama in due to the emergency and he was quite good. Still inconsistent but managed 33 goals in the season operating as the sole striker. Good enough for me. Youth Prospect: Not worth mentioning. Next Season's Goals: 1) I tell the team "Mid-Table", but I'm hoping for "Top-Half". 2) Priority goes to my defence line, then I'll see whether I can replace my left midfielder, and right raumdeuter. 12. Been a while since I last tried this challenge I think. Anyway, just took over Tonbridge, The Angels. Yes, I took over the club just because of their nickname. I'm weird like that. It's either nice logo, cool uniform or cool nickname for me. Tonbridge Angels Geraint Alacarde has just been hired as the new manager of Tonbridge Angels. The team plays their home games at Longmead Stadium. The transfer budget is £0, while the wage budget is £3.572k, and current wages are £1,266 p/w. So looks like I have to dig through the alleys for free transfers.

  15. Season 2026 Review Knattspyrnufélag Vesturbæjar Season Review: Been a while since my last update. Have been busy with work so took a break from FM for a bit. Finally finished the season. So highlights are qualifying for the Champions League Group Stage, which brought us close to 10 mill. but we crashed out spectacularly. Was beaten left right centre.
