Aretak Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I noticed this guy recently, who looks a very solid option for a central defender at a mid-table side or as a backup. He's also Accomplished at left back, but probably a bit slow to play there. Personally I'd never heard of him before, but I guess he might be familiar to people who know more about German or Belgian football. That's him right at the start of a new game. He's actually a little better in my main game, with his Jumping, Strength, Concentration and Creativity having improved a point or two each. Of course, he has some weaknesses, namely relatively poor Acceleration, Concentration, Decisions and Teamwork, but so do most central defenders in FM beyond the very top tier. He has a Belgian second nationality, so there are no problems with a work permit for England. I bought him for my Portsmouth side at the end of the first season after Gladbach were relegated for £4.4m, and he's been a rock at the heart of my defence in the Premier League.
