End of Season Update - 15/16

This year could be on of the best years yet for our teams yet it could be the worst. Lets see what happened...

Coca Cola League 2

All three League 2 teams made different starts. Dynamo were right up in the top 3, Westfields were towards mid-table and Downs were in a relegation battle. Eventually Dynamo kept up their form to finish 6th making a great first season as a league team. Downs managed to stay up as well, but it was Westfields that were lucky to stay up in the end finishing just 3 points above the relegation places

With now only 4 teams remaining in the BSP there were mixed fortunes. Both James May Athletic and Allithwaite moved from midtable to playoff battles which ended in dissapointment for them as one only lost on goal difference and the other only lost by a point. SS Utd and the Ironz ended up only 3 or 4 points above the relegation places.

There were three teams in the BSN this year. Cressington finished in a poor mid-table. But there was a promotion chase for Youthampton and RH FC which was eventually won by RH FC. They automatically go up to the BSP. Youthampton had to settle for the playoffs.

In the Blue Square South there were a few teams that were involved in a promotion battle. Pollards led the way for a while but in the end it was Sherwood who won automatic promotion. Pollards Hill and FC Cardiff will be in the playoffs. In the relegation battle HWM were out of it for the whole season and inevitabley went straight back down. Despite moving in and out of the relegation zone Intercourse evntually finished 3 points off safety and followed HWM down.

So there was automatic promotions for RH FC and Sherwood to make the BSP. But there was playoffs for the BSN and BSS teams and for Dynamo in L2...

Coca Cola League 2 Playoffs

Dynamo Bluez came up against Darlington for the playoffs. The first leg saw two red cards one for each team and an injury for the Dynamo Bluez but the game was very one-sided as Darlington could only manage 2 shots. Despite the domination of Dynamo the game ended 0-0

In the second leg saw Darlington go 1-0 up after just 3 minutes before Dynamo equlaising 10 minutes later. A sending off for Darlington just before half time should have put Dynamo in the driving seat however this was not the case and Darlington scored 15 minutes before full time towin the game 2-1.

End of Season Update - 16/17

This season could be the season we see our first League 1 team but a year thet a few of our teams lose their status in their league. Lets see what happened...

Coca Cola League 2

All three League 2 teams moved around a lot during the year. Westfields looked like they were going to have to battle against relegation however this year after a good start. They did however stay up. Dynamo Bluez made an awful start after a great season last season but pulled up at the end to make a good 9th place and 1 point off the playoffs. But it was a year to remeber from Downs. They had a great start before dropping mid-season to pull themselves back at the end reaching the playoffs

Most of our teams were either involved in promotion or rlelegation this season. Youthampton were the biggest promotion challengers but blew it at the end and had to settle for the playoffs. Allithwaite had a great end to the season and they sneaked into the playoffs. There was though one relegation. The Ironz and James May Athletic were down their all season but pulled tehmselves clear but unfortunately RH FC could not and they finished bottom.

There was only one team in the BSN this year and that was Cressington. They spent an overall boring year hanging around mid-table all season. They never looked like going up but they were never going to go down.

In the Blue Square South there were a few teams who looked like they might go up. Cricketers were up there all season and managed to get into the playoffs along with TJ FC. Pollards who were again involved in promotion blew it at the end and finished 15th. At the other end of the table there was only one team involved. Bradwell suffered from second season syndrome after a good first season back up last year they were relegated this year
