Presumably because sitting watching a test match while eating delicious cakes and drinking tea isn't as strenuous as playing in one... icon_biggrin.gif

Important game of the day....

Northants vs Australia.

Zero chance of a result as its a 2-day game, but a chance for the Aussies to work out who's playiung the 4th test and get some form.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">

Australians 1st innings R M B 4 6

*JL Langer c Wright b Phillips 1 4 2 0 0

ML Hayden not out 9 51 39 1 0

SM Katich not out 15 44 37 2 0

Extras 0

Total (1 wickets, 13 overs) 25

To Bat: BJ Hodge, DR Martyn, MJ Clarke, +BJ Haddin, B Lee,

SW Tait, MS Kasprowicz, GD McGrath, SCG MacGill.

FoW: 1-1 (Langer).

Bowling O M R W

Wright 6 2 13 0

Phillips 6 3 8 1

Jones 1 0 4 0

Northamptonshire team:

TW Roberts, BM Shafayat, RA White, U Afzaal, *DJG Sales,

+MH Wessels, BJ Phillips, DG Wright, PS Jones, MS Panesar,

JF Brown.

</pre>

Not sure if its a cricinfo ****-up, but there's 12 Aussies there.

Langer out early but he was the one Aussie who didn't need to play himself into form.

With that in mind, it's a surprise to see Gilchrist not playing.

Biggest news of all though I'd say is the lack of Gillespie in the Aussie line-up. Not even being given another chance
