Unlucky daemonic, you will get there....it will just make winning it all the more sweeter after coming close.

At least it's keeping my interest in the save going. Odd thing is, Man City had done nothing in the CL for about 10 years, we get into the comp and they win 3 in a row.

On a positive note, my youth intake last year included 1 player rated as having Leading Prem potential (he played about 25 games for the first team already, not bad for a 16yr old DRC) and this year 2 players are rated as having Leading Prem potential.

You manage both of them, however its one of the rules of the various challenges that you cannot manage an International team unless you've completed the challenge. It's to ensure no one has an unfair advantage e.g. more scouting knowledge of a country because you manage the national team.

Alright,I'm really intrigued to manage a nation while still managing my team....

It is safe to say that by being a 'Sunday league footballer' past experience :o as I am at the moment, the only nation that would sign me,their president will be shot the next day....But when exactly is the challenge completed ??I mean, must I be Europe champion?

21 games into the league just before playing at home against the third place Beccles Town...Brandon Town the team I have tempered with their squad lost twice but instead of feeling triumph I have conscience guilt...So,I decided I will not use this strategy of weakening other teams squads anymore...Other teams don't want to weaken my squad, they just want to strenghten their squad...

So I will not sign a player anymore just because he belongs to my rivals...That would be a foul play that any dignified manager should not consider...Let the best team win...

Also when playing at home against Brandon town at round 29 I will play against them with my reserve team...In the future I will try to help them in any way I can to strenghten their squad...And that is a promise...

You need to win the CL and League

Right, thanks, that clarifies things...I'm on it right now:)

Now...There is one hugh positive thing that I have learned by approaching Brandon Town players and just from that I am glad that I have done it....

There was one player that every time I applied for him they renewed his contract to guarantee he will stay at their club...They didn't do it with other players so I figured he was quite important for them...The point is I couldn't sign him...

But that gave me an idea...What if I renewed my superstar player contract when he had been approaced...Would he still be my player...

I was waiting for another player be approached to test this theory...

And it came...4 teams approached my best player, playmaker, corners taker & free kicks taker...Every time he has been approached by other club I put a new contract offer for him by me...I didn't offer him anthing better ,being an amatuer player, just renewed it....

And what do you know...Even with four clubs approaching him at the same time ,he decided to stay with my team...

I remember checking my superstar player personal feelings towards my team before decided leaving me...He was enjoying playing for my club...That is why I didn't get it why would he choose to leave... He was expecting me to renew his contract....

Boy,am I glad now that I approached those Brandon players...It taught me a great lesson... I am no more ....

Good to hear you're able to keep your best players Uri. Enjoy being able to keep them for free while you can, once you start paying them it usually takes a payrise to get them to renew. ;)

Thanks for the advice daemonic,I will cross that bridge when the time comes...By the way I wanted to arrange a friendly between our teams but was rejected...I guess your team wasn't available at that date...By the way ,they are 5th on Level 10, 3 points from second place which go to playoffs...

URI-Watton Utd-Season 1-2009/10- Anglian Combination Premier (level 11)

Now,With 25 games beyond us & only 5 games to go,there are only 2 teams left running for top place to qualify for the playoff to Level 10...

Brandon town my fearsome rivals has not recovered from the incident I've pulled...At that time I got panicked loosing my superstar player and managed to weaken them by signing many of their players...Feeling guilt about that I decided it's going to be the last time I'm going to pull monkey business like that...And since I have ruined their chances of winning the title in a way I'm not proud of....I'm going to give them a chance to ruin me in a way I'm proud of...Playing against them on round 29 ,I'm going to use only reserve players and give Brandon a fair chance to avenge...Only in a case of injury during the game I will let one of my first team players to enter...And by that I see the score settled...Later on in the furure I will pay back in any way I can to help them promote from that league....

Here is the situation right now....

The Cup Dream

Now,let's talk a about cup games...Being at Level 11 my team was eligible only for one cup this season the Norfolk county FA senior Cup...

35 teams registered for that cup from non-league,level 11,leavel 10 & level 9 teams from England...

As a representative of level 11, My team was not considered a force to be reckoned with of winning it...

Last time my team won the cup was back at 1987 ,23 years ago...Last appearance at the finals at 1993...

Here is my cup story for 2009/2010...My board expectation is to reach at least 3rd Round..

First Round...

There only three games to be played to achieve the number of 32 teams...My team was free...

Second Round 16 games....

Opponent : Dersingham-away...Currently last at my league...

The odds : Since I already played against them a couple of weeks earlier that season on the same grounds and beating them 2:1, I was quite optimistic to overcome them...

The game : It was a comfortable 2:0 win...later on in the league they are going to play me away with an excellent defence system using a defensive midfielder to force me into 0:0...

The Money : 1,100 $

Third Round 8 games...

Opponent : Wymondham-at home...A Non-league team...(Leavel 12?)

The odds : They already knocked out two teams who went away to play them...

The Game : But this time the game was at my home...It was a close game...which ended 1:0....They were a better side than my first opponent and I was glad not to meet them away...

The Money: 2,200 $

Quarter Finals ...

Opponent : Wroxham-at home-Level 9....One of the favourite teams to win the cup...Their reserve team plays at my league (currently 14)...They play at a unique 3-5-2 formation...Last time my team was at the finals was back at 1993 and they lost to....Wroxham....Also they were the cup Winners at 2008 & runner up at 2009...

The odds : A semi-professional team...But playing at home should make the game a close encounter...

The Game: It wasn't close at all...It all ended after 38 minutes 3:0...My team exploded on the field...Last game for my superstar player...from now on I need to improvise...

The Money : 2,200 $

Semi-Finals...

Opponent : Diss-away-Level 10...They had quite a few appearances in the finals...Winners at 2005...Runners up at 2004 and more...

The Odds: Being one level above me,playing them away was not something to be cheerful about...The only thing that was going for me was the magic words by the media...They were injury infested...

The game: 30 seconds into the game I got a penalty kick for my team which they missed...but later on they didn't...An easy victoy 3:0....

The Finals :

The Grounds : King's Lynn home ground....Last time winners of this cup at 2009.... On 25 November 2009 they were officially wound up at the high court following debts of £77,000 to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and in December went out of business after a failed appeal. The club was reformed in January 2010 as Lynn FC and later named King's Lynn Town after a fans' vote.(With this editor build they are not available to manage)

Opponent : Dereham Town-Neutral-Level 9....They are used to win the cup...lately at

2006,2007...They won the semi finals 4:1...

The odds :

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-3.jpg

The Crowd :

Press Conference :

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-4.jpg

The Money :

Winner : 4,400 $

Runner up : 2,200 $

The Game :

Is yet to be played....

Good luck in the final.

Thanks daemonic....

In one of my earlier posts I said that a player is not allowed to play for more than two clubs during a season and than I said that my superstar player has made his second transfer during a season and still was able to play for a third club...I blamed the game for being biased against me...

Well I was wrong...A player can be transfered 10 times in a season...But if is he going to play one single game in one team ,he is eligble to play only for one more team...once he is going to play one single game for a second team, only then he is not alllowed for a third team...

It's not important how many transfers he made but only for how many clubs he has actually played...so I have to apologize for accusing the game being biased against me...It's one rule for all...:o

Also There was one player who actually prefered to play for my team even though there were other clubs competing against me...So I was wrong there too...I guess being a foreigner Manager has something to do with players prefers other local English Managers clubs over mine...

Now for the finals :

Gate Receipts : 18,500 $

Great win, the gate receipts and prize money kept me in the black most of the way to the premiership.

Thank you daemonic...

Since I had a few free Saturdays I usually used them to play away against teams which paid us substential amounts of money...

I will show you at the end of the season my finances....

Now look what happend with my 2 last away games

Round 25 Away :

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/StAndrewsvWattonUtd.jpg:eek:

Round 26 Away :

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/SpixworthUtdvWattonUtd.jpg:eek:

Just when everything seemed going my way ,my best player, playmaker, free kicks taker, corners taker & love maker has been offered a contract which he couldn't refuse...This time it was real money...325$ for a month...now what could I offer him ? my wife ?...It didn't help renewing his contract...he was too smart to be fooled with empty wallet...It's going to be tougher now...

My young DRC has been called up to the Englad squad 3 months after his 17th bday, didn't play in the end but a good sign he's something special.

It's Israeli coin...in Dollars you need to divide by 3.8...(1$=3.8 NIS)

The Playoffs

39 champions of level 11 needs to compete for 18 places into Level 10

Semi finals: The weakest 6 champions compete one another in 3 matches...(one game)

The winners of those 3 matches will join 33 free teams for the playoffs finals...

It's going to be 18 matches...one game...The winners promoted to Level 10...Lossers gets only sympathy...

My team was free at the semi-finals...

Uri-Watton Utd-Season 2-2010/11-Eastern Counties Division one (Level 10)

Pre Season

My team has just promoted from Level 11 into this league...

There are 19 teams here instead of 16 at my previous league...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeagueDivisio.jpg

Here are the odds to promote from this League

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-8.jpg

My team is no longer the underdog...All the spotlights are directed upon me & my team... And we must deliver what we are expected or else will be unemployed...

The media predict us to finish second in the league which leads to playoffs (Not again...)

The board expect me to promote...The heat & pressure is on from the first moment...

In order to achieve what expected of me The board turned my team into Semi-Professional...

I gave all my players part-time contracts...

I was also permitted to sign up to 8 coaches...Since I intend to raise all aspects of coaching into at least three stars I am going to hire eight different coaches, each with his own specialty...

I also signed another scout with adaptability 17 and sent him to France...Maybe he will come up with something useful...

I'm going to keep my assistant...I usually take his advice only as second opinion...I never read what he has to say during the game...It is only confuses me...I trust my own instincts...Most of my players are marked to be offload of my team by the assistant but I'm going to keep giving them credit unless they will prove me otherwise...I'm not impressed that the new players have more stars...I need to see them in action ,so I am going to do about 10 friendly games...Half games for my old players and half for my new players...This way I can see clearly what needs to be done....It's not recommended to change the whole team...I also make a lot of money from this friendly games...And I mean a lot of money...

The board decided to give me a new contract and now I'm the highest paid employee in the team...My salary is just above 1,000 $ a month...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-2-4.jpg

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-3-3.jpg

It will take a while before I am going to start the season...

Also my team is going to participate in 4 Cups including the one we won last year...

Season Ticket Sales

I started this a while ago but didn't even finish the first season! Think I may start again tonight, haven't got in to a good game recently.

Best of luck if you do. I always find its a couple of seasons into a save before I get really interested so I can understand the not finishing the first season bit.

I find I have to win a trophy in the first 2 seasons to carry on, or become so very close to winning/being promoted, otherwise being stranded in mid-table or struggling down the bottom is never fun. Doubt I can get to your dizzying heights though!

AFC Liverpool - Premier League - 2022/23

Transfers

Signed some more promising talents and sold on a few who aren't impressing as much as I'd like. Also got rid of a couple of more experienced players to allow home grown youths first team chances.

Champions League - Semi-Final

Out at the semi-final stage again. We cruised that far before being pipped by Juventus. I suppose the only bonus is it wasn't Man City who beat us.

Premier League

Predicted: 2nd | Final Position: WINNERS | Graph

Total domination including a new Premiership record of 15 straight wins, a new record points tally and the record for goals scored.

FA Cup - WINNERS | Final

Nice to beat Man City in a cup competition.

League Cup - Fourth Round

2-0 up against Wolves and we threw it away allowing them to win in extra-time.

Community Shield - WINNERS

Liverpool County FA Senior Cup - WINNERS | Final

First win since I started playing the U-18's.

Other News

Finances were much healthier as I was more prudent in the transfer market and sold on some players to allow youth players a chance. The board also announced they were expanding the stadium for the 3rd time in 3 years taking us to a capacity of around 32k.

Season 2009/10 Review - London Lions in the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division

League Table

Past Positions

A bit of a fumbling start in the league as I tried a few different line-ups and familiarized myself with the players, but once we got going it was pretty smooth sailing. Everyone on this level appear to be pretty much equally terrible, so morale boosts and tactical advantages seem to get the job done 9 times out of 10.

Capital Counties Feeder Leagues Trophy | Final

League performance aside, the cup was my #1 prio. I wanted some silverware and the £1K/win prize money is enough to keep the ground maintenance costs from running us into the red. I wasn't expecting to reach the final though, but as luck would have it we had already secured the title by then, so I could rest my players and walk into the game well prepared. It paid off.

Squad

I'm not sure what to say really. There's such a tiny difference between my starters and the youths that just about anyone I field seem to do a good job. All in all it's probably fair to say that Danny Clough, Joe Skelton, and Chris Hammond stood out as the stars.

Transfers

Lost a few players over the course of the season; my contract offers just aren't competitive compared to what a lot of other clubs can put on the table. In line with what I wrote above however, none of who I lost was irreplaceable and we continued with no remarkable differences in play or results. More interesting here is probably Tommy Mooney who I picked up for free from League 2 side Hereford's reserves just before the last game of the season. He should prove useful next season.

Aim for next season: For now, wish me luck in the playoffs~

After awarding my team to a pre season tour into the Pacific Ocean where we played against the local native Islands in 9 matches,We got back to England for the starting Season...

I was able to sign only one player which my assistant marked as one that is not good enough to play for my club...But then he says that about any player...

After playing 5 games here is the situation...

Favorites? Okay, then... :o

Looking promising for you, Uri.

Congrats on the promotion Scab. I wouldn't worry about the favourites tag, we were given that every season up to the BSN/BSS level. I don't think the game handles calcualting odds etc very well below the official league levels.

Great start to the season Uri

Thanks daemonic....

Uri-Watton Utd-Season 2-2010/11

Eastern Counties Division 1(Level 10)

October

After an 8 wins streak I finally made a draw...

Fans Day

In order to increase interest at my team by the locals, my board decided to anounce two of my home games in October as Fans day...

Meaning...

1)In one game anyone who buys a ticket can buy a second ticket half price for his child...

2)In another game all those with season's tickets (50) can buy another ticket half price for his friend...

In both cases the board concluded that there has been a success...The fact that my team plays an exciting attractive football contributed to the fact that in the long run there would be an increase fans apearance for my home games...

Injuries

The fact that my team started to play two games a week due to partcipation in cup games is the cause for many injuries...

My part time contracts' players who turned only this season into semi proffesional players can't take the pressure and one after one they are getting injured...

Since there is no reserve league at level 10, my assistant is completely useless of arranging friendly games for my reserves and I was pre occupied with the first team that I completely forgot about that aspect...

So now I have a few injuries at my first team players and reserve players who are not matched fit to replace them...

That mistake of mine is going to cost...

The Goalkeeper

Young goalkeeper with potential Versus Experienced goalkeeper...

Here is a dilemma... Which one should I pick?

At the pre season games the young one impressed me better so I figured I will give him a chance of starting the season...

At first it seemed it was successful decision but when my players got injured and I really was in need for a confident goalkeeper that will allow me to pass this precarious period of time safely he made just the opposite thing...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli2.jpg

With his own bare shaky hands he made mistakes that cost me loosing games...

At one point I lost my trust for him and put him on the bench, calling my 39 experienced Goalkeeper to save the situatation..

But he is not match fit so lets hope for the best...

Conclusions

1)I must make friendly games for my reserves during mid week if my team has a free schedule...They must be fully prepeared when the time comes to use them...

2)Since my staff are completely useless in finding me a new promising players,I must do everthing by myself...Looking at the annual awards at level 10 & and Level 9 leagues I was searching the players who won the best players of the year of that league...

Here is the situation at the end of October

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeagueDivi-5.jpg

The cup

I was already knocked out from the F.A Vase cup...But this month I was going to enter playing in 3 more cups...

Norfolk Senior Cup

last year we won that cup...

The first round my team was free

Second Round

16 matches of non league,level 11,level 10 & level 9 teams...The board expect me to

reach the finals...

The opponent: Home against Thetford, one of my rivals at my League (3rd)...

The odds : They were doing fine at my League...It was going to be an intresting match...

The game : One sided easy victory 3:1...

The money: 1,100 $

Eastern Counties League cup:

The teams from Eastern Counties Division 1(Level 10) & Premier (Level 9) are allowed to participate...My board expect me to reach Quarter Finals...

There is no replay match...Only one chance...

Qualifying Round my team was free

First Round 16 games...

The opponent: Away against Dereham (Mid table Level 9)

The odds : What do you know...The team I beat last year at the finals of Norfolk Senior Cup... Playing them away should make it a close encounter...

The game : It didn't start well them taking the lead 1:0....Ended 4:1 for us...

The money : Good money for this cup 3,300 $

Eastern Counties Division One cup:

Only the teams from my league to play for the cup...

My board expect me to reach the Finals...

There is no replay match...Only one chance...

First Round my team was free...

Second Round 8 games

The opponent: Home against Thrapston from the bottom of my League...

The odds : I already played them at home on my first game at the Season and beat them 1:0...They are a tough team to break...

The money : 550 $

The game :

The streak The replay

The Rotation

The key for success is the delicate balance you have to achieve...

On one hand you need to make your reserve players fit to play and on another hand you don't want to play with tired players...

If you fail to do it,it will cost you points & injuries...Players are much more prone to injuries when they are tired or are not match fit(in that case they are also not in good shape)...

To prove my point ,that last 5:0 away victory achieved entirely by my reserve players just before an important cup game...I was resting my first team for the cup game & my reserve team trashed the opponent..

The contracts

This month I got pretty much a clear idea which players I'm going to renew the contracts and the players I'm going to release at the end of the season...

There was only one case that I couldn't renew a player's contract & the reason for that he was my Captain starting the season & then I relieved him of this role...This guy is going to make my life a living hell for that and will ask for a transfer to another club...

Once you make someone a captain or vice captain don't dare take it off them or you are going to regret you ever met his sorry ass...:(

The table

Halfway through the season here is the table...

The Cup Dream

The dream for cups already has been shattered twice...Two more to go...

Norfolk Senior Cup 3rd Round

My team hold the cup...Board expects us to reach The Finals...

35 teams from Non league,Level 11,level 10 & level 9 leagues started...

Now 8 Matches...

The Opponent : home against Great Yarmouth one of the top teams at my league...

The Odds: I have not met them yet in the league...Since I had two cup games in three days I decided I'm going to save my heavy artillery for the next cup game away which was more difficult...

The Game: I have just signed a new promising Goalkeeper beating other teams offering him a dreamy contract...This guy is going to make a hugh mistake giving them the lead

1:0...It was only thanks to my corners maneuver I managed to equalise the score...which means there is going to be a Replay away...

The Replay :

A nerve wrecking cup game against a capable side armored with a hostile Ref...The Ref disallow a goal for my team ,later on waving his yellow cards at few of my players...Encouraged by his hate for my side they manage to get the lead..I'm forced to play a very cautios game knowing that the next foul is going to be red...Eventually I managed to equalise the score as I did the first time...There is going to be extra time...I don't have any more fingernails to chew on...7 minutes to the end of extra time they manage to pull one of their corners maneuver to send me home without my precious cup....

The money: 1,100 $

Eastern Counties League cup:

The cup for level 10 & level 9 Eastern counties leagues (Division 1 & premier)

I was free at the Qualifying Round and than managed to knock out a level 9 team away...

The board expect me to reach Quarters Finals...I have alreay failed to meet expectation in three previous cups ,my job is on the line...If I manage to win this game I am going to reach The Quarters Finals...

Only one match, no replay ,winners takes it all...

The opponent: away against Grantham, a bottom level 9 team...

The Odds:

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli2-1.jpg

The Money: 4,400 $

Uri-Watton Utd-Season 2-2010/11-

Eastern Counties Division 1 (Level 10)

December-January

The Reserves

By now I practically manage two teams...

Since there isn't a reserve league at Level 10 & My assistant who is in charge of my reserves does not arrange any games for them I must take care of them too...

If I don't have a midweek match in the League I arrange a friendly game for my Reserves which also helps me financially if it is an away friendly...

If I have a midweek League match I let my assistant conduct a friendly game between my Reserves & my Youth team ...I don't attend those games and only read his report...

So now I have a fully operated Reserve team...

Since my team is doing well enough in the league I decided I could risk league games by letting my Reserves to play just before an important Cup match... By that I can maximize my chances to win a cup match...

The Cup Dream

Eastern Counties League Cup Quarter Finals

All teams from Eastern counties leagues attend (Level 10 & level 9 teams)

After being free at the qualifying round and managing to beat two level 9 teams away

it is time to face my new opponent...

The Opponent:

Away against Needham Market,a top level 9 team...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeaguePremier.jpg

The Odds:

I already managed to beat Dereham(13th) & Grantham (16th)....but this time it is the 2nd team in the league...

The only thing going for me was the name of the opponent...dereHAM...grantHAM...needHAM...My team hates HAM...They like chicken...

The Money

4,400 $

Impressive effort you're putting into the save Uri, creating games for reserves. I never bothered with reserves at that level to save on wages, even now I have no reserves other than youngsters too old for the U-18's who I can't sell and who are just seeing out their contract.

Still rejecting the invitation to the reserves league and any player who may have promise but is too old for the U-18's but not yet ready for my first team goes to an affiliate on loan, however I'm using a lot of youngsters in the first team. This season 6 or 7 first teamer's could still play for the U-18's.

Each Manager has his own personality & different approach to accomplish goals...

I think the Reservers are a great tool which I can't imagine doing without...You on the other hand manage to do just fine without it...

By the way, that Dutch player I just sign isn't so brilliant after all (I smelled something fishy about him...)This guy is prone to injuries and already out for a month...

Hmm, I managed to not include my latest save here in a backup prior to a OS change. I've been playing a network game side-by-side with this that I'm enjoying, so I think I'll withdraw for now and focus on that rather than re-play almost the entire Level 10 season that was lost.

Might be back later. :)

First, let me congratulate daemon for another amazing Season...Each team has its own black sheep & I guess yours come from Manchester...I too, have a black sheep,I have played 3 games against Great Yarmouth (2 cups games) and still haven't manage to beat them...They are the only League team so far to beat me at home (in 2 seasons)2:1 after leading 1:0...I'm looking forward to play them in the League and hinder their playoff aspirations...

As for Scab ,Looking foeward to see you back again on track to glory...;)

Friendlies

As I stated before I take care also for my Reserves arranging for them Friendlies during free mid-weeks which I myself manage the games as if they were League games...

Usually I go all over the world for the highest bidder...Once the season starts, there aren't any invitiations from abroad...but there are invitations from all over UK...

The more successful I get from those Friendlies the better Reputation teams are interested to check my team and the more money I'm offered for those games...

This method of mine has already changed the worth of my Club from 5k $ to 270 k $ during the two seasons I'm at the club...

Usually the worth of my team is half of the money you can see in the Finance Balance so now I'm actually at + 540 K $ ....

My reserve team who gets to play together every week against difficult opponents are getting stronger by the coherence of that process...

My reserves already played 4 full League games just before important cup games and thrashed two opponets 5:0 ! and two draws...they are still unbeaten in the league...

For example the last friendly Match was away against Semi-Profesional Northen Ireland team with a National Reputation...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-2-5.jpg

Following that game I was able for the first time to get invitation from a Proefesional Team from Scotland...And I'm talking about St. Mirren...

It's just happened that this occasion occured just when we managed to win the Chamionship...

So to celebrate the ocassion I'm going to invite St. Mirren to play at Watton...The estimated revenue is going to be 13k $ and for the first time since the Club has founded in 1893, my 1,000 stadium capacity is expected to be quite full (Usually I get a crowd of 200-250 which is quite a lot comparing to teams of that Level)...

And all that accomplishment is just thanks to my Reserve Team...It goes without saying that they are going to play for the upcoming Celebration Match against St. Mirren...

I have alreay decided that at the end of the Season I'm going to announce a new surprsing tradition for ending it...;)

The Cup Dream

Out of the 4 cups available starting the season there is hope only for 1 left by now...

Eastern Counties League Cup

This cup is being held for the 3rd time...It's a new cup for all teams participating Eastern Counties Division 1(Level 10) and premier (Level 9)...It's about 40 teams...

My team was free at Qualifing Round and than managed to knock out 3 Level 9 teams away...

Now it's time to meet my opponent for the Semi Finals...

The oppnent : Home against a team which is a union of two teams : Felixstowe & Walton Utd...What a strange coincidence Watton utd against Walton Utd...This team is a mid-table Level 9 League...

The Odds : First of all it was the first home match at this Cup...Since we have only 1 game without any replay I do have a hugh chance to reach the finals...

The Money : 4,400 $

The Game:

Their manager was the first one so far I have seen to open with a 4-2-4 formation....Which means this guy opened with 4 strikers....Usually they do that only late in the game looking for a desperate goal...But to start like this,he is either very brave or very foolish...Which is it going to be ?

Follish I'm afraid...It was all over after 30 minutes 2:0...But it was an interesting match full of exciting moments...If you have four strikers which are good in the air and you cross high balls towards them consistently, things are going to get ugly against your side....but not today...

So my team is all prepared to play in the Finals...It's going to be the last game on May after the last League game...

Now for the opponent in the Finals....Ok,so in the other semi-final there was a match between The leader of Level 9 league home against one of the teams at my League...I was 100% sure the finals is going to be a Giants Clash between the two League Champions of level 10 & level 9...

But quite amazingly the underdog of my League managed to drag them into penalties and beating them...

I have played them twice in the League ,and in both cases they were very close encounters won by my team 1:0,2:1...I remember especially the away win 1:0 where I was begging the ref to blow his god dammned whistle to finish the game after being under a heavy preassure...

So it's going to be a tough Finals against Ipswich Wanderers...(Currently 9th at my League)

Watton Utd(Reserves)-St. Mirren (Scotland)

Uri-Watton Utd-Season2-2010/11

Eastern Counties Division 1 (Level 10)

Congrats on promotion Uri and best of luck in the cup final. At least with the league won already you can rest your best players before the final.

Thanks a lot daemonic...It's nice not to be all alone in the dark here...

Now look who is going to be playing for my team next year...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-2-6.jpg

Notice his value..It's 4 times higher than my second valued player...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/JohnKennedy.jpg

(By The way...How do I make a shortcut to a link with a new custom name ?)

End of Season

Since my team has already promoted...My first aim is to bring my best 11 to Cup Finals without getting them injured just before the Match...

My Rivals for the finals are really an excellent Cup team and is going to play 3 Cup Finals !! This means they are in a fantastic form & shape to beat other teams in those final stages of Cups...Heck,they even managed to beat the champion of Level 9 League away to play against my team...Their Manager is a cunning fox...

The center of attraction has shifted meantime for the Friendlies I'm conducting for my Reserves during mid-weeks...Sometime my stadium is amost full against professional teams from UK...These games are really much more fun to watch & handle...The opponents are fearsome & I am proud of my Reserves putting on hard battles...

Player of the Season

The election is pretty cool...

Each Manager of the League (19) has only one vote for ten candidates possible...

The Manager is not allowed to vote for a player of his own team...

Each vote count as one point...

5 of the 10 candidates came out of my team !

The selection will be anounced at the end of the Season...

The Black Sheep

A black sheep is a term we use in Israel for a team that is always gets lucky against your team and is always very hard to beat...

For this Season it is Great Yarmouth...

I first played against them at home at Norfolk Senior Cup which we won last year...

They were lucky since I had a more difficult cup game 3 days later and I couldn't put all my first team players...They were lucky also during the game beacause my new signed Goalkeeper let a long range free kick from 40 meters to pass above his head without trying even to punch the ball...(It's going to cost him sitting on the bench for the rest of the year...Enough is enough !)

So I only managed to draw against them 1:1 and went to a Replay...

In Replay all my best players have played...But then they were lucky to get the most hostile Ref against my team....Disallowing a goal for me and than brandishing yellow cards for any foul we made)...So paralized by the ref we lost 7 minutes to the end of Extra Time...How Annoying...

Then later on, I played them home in the League leading 1:0 only to loose 2:1 (No excuses this time except I was very tired late at night and was quite sleepy:o...)

They were the only team to beat me at home in a League Match in 2 Seasons and to embarrass me in front of my fans, wife and especially my dog...

But now it's time to settle the score...

3 Matches (for my team only 2)before the Season ends, here is the situation just before playing Great Yarmouth away ...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeagueDivi-12.jpg

They still have a chance to play for the Play-offs but there is just one small little tiny thing....They must beat my team, a Draw will not help them...They must Attack...And for that I was waiting...;)

Just for the record, the Second team in the league lost at home against the last team in the league fighting for their lives against Relegation...So if they manage to beat me, they still have a reasonable chance for the Playoffs...

It was my last test for my first 11 before the Cup finals...Since the last game in the League will be 3 days before the cup finals ,my Reserves will play it...(by the way, they will play the last game against that same last team in the League who beat the second just now, trying to survive...)

The Press Conference

The game

5 minutes into the game the ref disallowed a goal for my team...

Kennedy should score plenty at that level Uri, he was good for me up to about BSN level.

Just for comparison...look at my bulldozer spearhead for this year...This guy is a leading candidate for a Player of the Season...He played against many butchers center-backs trying to send him to a hospital & in a miraculous way he almost never got injured...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/AlexDavidson.jpg

This guy is a jumping Terror...

Each time he scores, there is a good chance for the goal to be disallowed, him being very aggressive...

Uri-Watton Utd-Season 2-2010/11

Eastern Counties Division 1 (Level 10)

Celebration V. Relegation

After a long hard season we came to the last game playing at home...

The crowd honoured my team and 442 of them appeared to celebrate my team's Promotion...It is double the amount I usually get for home matches...And since one stand was left empty for the guests who didn't show up,the other 3 stands in my 1,000 stadium capacity were quite full with green shirts' fans matching my team's kit at home...

(To tell the truth, the major reason I have chosen this club from the first place was the green kit...:D)...

Unfortunately for them,my opponents for this game Walsham-le-Wilows didn't come to share my celebration...

This team has just relegated from Level 9 and has been the Media favourites to occupy the 1st place my team is at moment...As it turned out, they spend the whole Season upsidedown at the bottom...It was only in their last 7 matches ,they managed to win 5 of them to just almost save their asses from Relegation...Just almost...There was just that small little tiny thing...They had 3 points ahead of the last team in the table...So they needed one tiny point to stay clear of Relegetion...There was only one problem for them I'm afraid...The name of that team at the last place was Whitton...(They are practically relatives...)

Since I had a cup final 3 days later,my Reserve players got their 5th chance at the League to show me their worth against in form opponents...

Just for the record ,Whitton managed to do their share of saving themselves, and were all waitng for good news to come...And it came....My reserves who are usually used to play against much better teams from all over Uk in mid week friendlies were not at all impressed by the oponnents and beat them easily 3:0 to send them into Level 11....Two relegations in two years...

So here is the final Table

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeagueDivi-13.jpg

(By the way, My Reserves are responsible for 8 goals (8:0 aggregate) against the last team in the table...

The second team in the League is pretty amazing...They are still amateur and the media predicted them to end in 18th place...But now they are just one game from Promotion...I'm going to attend this play-off game...3 games to the end of Season they almost beat me at home and managed to get one point 1:1 with their goalkeeper selected Man of the Match...

Edit: I Just have seen them winning the play-off and I'm glad for them to join my team to Level 9...

Eastern Counties League cup

All teams from Eastern Counties -Division 1 (Level 10) and Premiere (level 9) eligible to play...

Out of the 4 cups my team participated this year, this cup was my first priority...It involves 40 teams half of them from level 9...Every time I had a cup game here, I made special arrangements for my best players to show up...

This cup has only one Match...No Replay...

The Qualifying Round my team was free...

And then we got pretty harsh draws playing away against 3 Level 9 teams including the 2nd at that Level 9 League...We have beaten them all away to reach the Semi-finals...

In the Semi-Finals we get another level 9 team but this time at home...Their Manager was the only one I have seen so far to start with 4 strikers....But we won easily 2:0 to reach the finals...(Half of the name of that opponent was Walton Utd...with each goal I felt in a weird way its an own goal...)

The Opponent

Ipswich Wanderers...A mid table team from my league...

They managed to knock-out the Champions of Level 9 league away...They also managed to reach 3 different Cup finals...

The Odds

I met them twice already in the league...Two very close encounters which I managed to win 1:0 & 2:1...

This team is an excellent cup team...

There are those players whom you get Report of saying "That player relishes on big matches"...I'll bet that Ipswich Wanderers have a few of them around...I have already spied (Disguised as a blind man lead by his dog)their first Cup and watched them "relishes"...winning their first Cup...I was going to be their second victim to be "relished" upon....They were also very lucky at that game...another thing to worry about...

The money

Really good money for this Cup & especially for the Finals...11,000$...Just for comparison,I got 17,700$ for winning the League...

The Game

They were lucky alright...they scored at the last minute...

Tradition

At the end of season I'm going to make the final game between my First-11-Team against All reserve players who played there during the Season...

My Assistant will manage Reserves and use the same Tactics I have used with them the whole year...He is allowed to use any players he wishes...I'm allowed to use only first 11...

And the result was : 2:0 for my first 11 ....

Credits

I would like to thank all the Staff, players, groundman, fans,my wife and especially my dog for helping me going through the season Victorious

Farewell Level 10....Level 9 here we come...

See ya next year...

Good luck in Level 9 Uri, the difference between the league levels is pretty small so having dominated Level 10 so well I think you'll be looking at another promotion

Thanks a lot daemonic...

you are a true believer & I wish you turning your black sheep into white as I did with Great Yarmouth this year...I hate black sheep...:(

Now look at my Game Status...:)

Uri-Watton Utd-Season 3-2011/12

Eastern Counties Premier (Level 9)

And so the challange go on...It would only make sense to place my team at this league...But for the Runner-up from last Season it didn't...They have been placed elsewhere...

We started with 16 teams at Level 11...Continued with 19 teams at Level 10 and now it's going to be 21 teams at level 9...

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/EnglishEasternCountiesLeaguePrem-1.jpg

Out of 20 teams ,we already met 5 of them during previous Seasons in Cup games and beat them all...

Promotion Odds

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-22.jpg

The media predict us to be the 2nd team in the League at the end of Season...

The board expect us to get Promotion...They didn't persist on winning the League only Promotion...So second place and Play-offs is quite legitimate..

I'm not going to put all my force at the League as I did last year...

So I'm going to try to create a balance between League & Cup games...

We are going to take part this year in 4 Cups including The F.A Cup....

I'm going to try to implement my Reserve team before important Cup games...

Staff

Most of my staff members refused to renew their contracts...I guess they would rather be unemployed than serve my team...

I started looking for new members

1 Assistant (same one)

1 Physio (New one)

2 Scouts (2 new ones)

8 Coaches ( 4 new)

Edit : Just finished to hire new staff....By now I have 6 coaches of 3.5 stars each and 3 (including assistant) with 3 stars...

Retirement

3 players notify their retirement at the end of Season...We all get old eventually...:(

Pre Season Friendlies

I have rejected all friendly proposals we received including The Glen Hoddle Academy...Once I have beaten his academy as a Level 11 team with a bunch of amateur locals I have lost interest in his magnificent players...

Instead we are going to take a tour to the Pacific Islands to play against the local native Islanders...We are getting offers which we really can't refuse...They are to good to be true...So we will play for a month and half there and return with full force to rock and roll with the ball at Level 9...

Feeder Club

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-23.jpg

It's about time...I have tried to get a feeder club since day 1,but my team stature was not good enough to get proposals from other clubs...

Now that we won two championships & two Cups there was an interest for my players...

I was really in hope for Brandon Town to be the one,my fearsome rivals from Level 11 which I pulled a stunt of stealing their amateur players...But It wasn't meant to be just yet...maybe later on....

Instead I got as a feeder club Sheringham...When I first started playing Level 11 they were the Champions a year before & finally finished 3rd...A year later they managed to promote themselves into Level 10...And now they want my help...

Since My Youth players get paid & does not do anything all year (I have a lazy Assistant who just like to say "That player is not good enough for us...")I'm going to send on loan the best of them in hope they will get some kind of experience before they will be 18 years old...At that age I will have to choose whether to offer them a contract or release them...

One thing is for sure...If they won't play there,no chance of giving them a contract...

Oops, just tried to loan them youth players and got the message "Youth players can not be loaned out"....I guess I'll have to loan out those promising youngsters above age 18...

Parent Club

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-24.jpg

Up until now,for two years I have not loaned one single player...But just before starting 3rd Season I have my first parent Club...

It is kettering Town from top Blue Square Premier (Level 5)....

Now if I'm desperate for a player in a position where there are too many injures...I can use this helpful option to fill in the blanks for awhile until the injured recover...

Also if I find a temporary weakness in my team,it is always good to know there is a useful solution with this option...

Usually I plan ahead and don't wait that something will occur for me to act...Always expect the unexpected...This way you won't be needing any merceneries...

Highest Transfer Fee Record

For two years I have not paid 1$ for any player...They were all free of charge....

But no more....

Just before the Season starts I have used up almost all my transfer budget for one single player...His value was 5,000$...To get him I had to pay 50,000$

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-25.jpg

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/JoshCraddock.jpg

Season Ticket Sales

Last year we sold 50 and this season we have 8 more...We are going to have at least 58 fans for each game...

Press Conference just before kick-off of new Season

http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a422/Ursulla1/UriMichaeli-26.jpg

See ya at the end of August....
