I know young player progression is a topic of some debate, and it's unclear to me at least how much game time they should get to best help them improve, but i've found so far this year that there are an inordinate amount of huge attribute drops across my young players in just half of a season. Some like Odegaard and Smith Rowe have played a lot and apparently this has hindered their development despite being regular starters and not having any injuries? Tavares has gotten steady backup game time with a few first team caps to replace injured players and he has seen nothing but decreases as well. Calegari who was getting sporadic game time was plummeting, and has featured more of late has shot down even further to the point where nearly all of his stats have gone down by 1 over the course of half of a season. I don't know if this is a bug but i've played youth a lot over the years and am aware of the typical rises and falls of attributes but i've never seen anything like this where a player will need another year just to get back to where he was when i started my save. This is not effecting all players but apart from a few players on a very young team i'm experiencing an overall net loss of stats. Some of these stat dumps might be insignificant on their own but altogether with a team that's happy and doing well i don't understand why it's as bad as it is. Am i doing something wrong? is the development harsher?
