Chris Mavinga is in my opinion is overrated, declining, and hasn't had a good MLS season in years. His attributes should not be that high, especially after another poor season this year, in addition to his "accomplished" LB rating perhaps being a stretch as someone who now plays in that position once in a blue moon since joining the league 6 years ago.

In Major League Soccer > History > Records

Jozy Altidore is incorrectly credited as Youngest Goal Scorer at 14 years and 0 days, the date of his "goal" is also his birth date, November 6 1989.
The real youngest goalscorer is Freddy Adu at 14 years 320 days in a 3-2 loss vs the MetroStars.

Duncan McGuire is a top 20 scorer in the division with 11 goals this year, the same amount as Jordan Morris but with more assists, yet has the attributes and CA of what would be considered a 2 star player in Orlando City SC's team with the AI setting his playtime to "B Team Regular"

Very disappointed to see his attributes unchanged and for him to start out with 94 CA and 111 PA on full release. For a starting striker in the MLS with 13 goals in 30 games that's criminal in my opinion.

2023 MLS season Seattle had moved 6 international slots for GAM on 1 year deals; Seattle should be reset to eight International slots to start the 2024 MLS season.

Danny Leyva should be returning to Seattle after his one year loan from Colorado. At the end of the 2023 database has him on a permanent move to Colorado.

    New England Revolution:

Noel Buck has 20 for right foot and 10 for left foot. He is naturally left-footed so these should be inverted. He also should have some ability as a DM (maybe 8-10), as he sometimes plays in a 4231 in a double Pivot with Matt Polster, a natural DM. Also, Buck has as high, if not higher, PA than Quinn Sullivan or Ben Cremanschi, (just look at MLS's 22 under 22 award) but I understand that is subjective.

DeJuan Jones also has an 8 for left foot. He has a better left foot, being a left back, than Noel Buck has a right foot. I would suggest 12 or 13. He often has as many passes with his left as his right. He led the lead for a couple of years with the most balanced 50/50% of passing footedness spread, but I think FBref no longer has access to that data.

Giacomo Vrioni speaks basically fluent English. Proof:

Also, Dylan Borerro's acceleration/pace attributes are just too low. He's one of the fastest on the team, not a 12-pace kind of player, and is certainly faster pace-wise than Nacho Gil

I feel like there're too much Chinese regens in MLS academy and USL teams. In my save there's approximately 20+ Chinese regens each year from US Clubs, which is quite unrealistic since most Chinese U23 nationals have a CA around 50-70 and these regens usually have a CA of 70-90.

he is on loan in the database.  If that's not what you see in game please log it as a bug.  It's not a data issue.

    Malik PInto (2000241418)

    • Missing relationship to brother Hassan Pinto (2000051114)
    • Career plans: Wants to be a player in Europe (source) “My ultimate goal, and it always has been, is to play in Europe,”

The article I linked above is also 2500 words and overall a great resource to fill out some of the zeroes in that player's attributes and especially person data for any researcher(s), if they have not read it already.

This year's FC Dallas player data seems to be mostly entirely untouched from last year's database(s), unlike most other MLS teams this year, which has led to a lot of discrepancies:

    Training Ground:

    • FC Dallas' training ground should be named "Toyota Soccer Center," rather than the informal "Toyota Stadium Practice Field" name (source)

    Players:

    Antonio Carrera:

    • Missing full name: Juan Antonio Carrera Zarzar (source)
    • Missing relationships: Brother of Nico Carrera (2000065867) (same source linked above)
    • Missing attribute: Is naturally right-footed (source - passing highlights)
    • Underrated current ability: Has a current ability of 75, which is unfair for a USA U-23 and U-20 keeper of his age, ability, and playing time.
For example, Max Weinstein of New England II is of the same current ability and age despite never being a recorded USA youth international, and starting in 1/4 as many MLSNP games while not keeping a single clean sheet. Paul Walters of Cincinnati II, who is also of the same age, has a higher CA of 83 and has played 1 less game than Carrera in MLSNP, but has conceded 14 more goals and kept one less clean sheet along with never being a recorded USA youth international.
Therefore, it would make sense for Antonio Carrera's CA to be either on par or slightly higher than Paul Walters (perhaps 84-85?)

    Herbert Endeley:

    • Missing skin tone: A skin tone of 18 seems accurate. (source)
    • Missing/incorrect positions: Should have more familiarity at RB/RWB, decreased familiarity on the left side, along with other changes (source)
    • Preferred Central Position: Could be set to right, using data from the source linked above.

    Marco Farfan:

    • Missing full name: Marco Antonio Farfán (source)
    • Missing second nationality: Mexico (same source linked above)
    • Slightly underrated current ability and/or reputation: More subjective than Antonio Carrera's case, but has played around 30+ games in three consecutive MLS seasons as a starting left back while playing solidly well. In 2023 alone, he has the second-most minutes out of everyone in the FC Dallas squad. If a 2-3 total CA uptick seems too much, perhaps a CR one by the same amount or more would accurately represent his increasingly important starting LB role year-after-year.

    Jesus Ferreira:

    • Incorrect positional data: Out of the 171 professional career league games Ferreira has played, only 7 games have been on the wings, yet the database has him at Natural (18) as an AMR and Accomplished (15) as a AML when he should probably be set around Competent (≤14) for both. (source)

    Liam Fraser:

    • Missing position: Can play at CB, albeit not naturally nor often, but his value in this position in the database is set to just zero. (source)
    • Slightly underrated current ability and/or reputation: More subjective once again, but started 9 out of 10 games for Deinze in their end of the season Challenger Pro League Relegation Playoffs yet compared to Deinze's squad isn't even top 15 in CA, but I understand that's more of the Deinze's researcher's responsibility than any USA one.
However, since moving back to North America, he has:
      1. Played for Canada in every 2023 Gold Cup game
      2. Featured in 7 out of 11 regular end-of-season league games for Dallas since signing
      3. Played at least 60 minutes in all three of FC Dallas' post-season playoff matches.
Despite this, Fraser starts off with a CA of 100, which is slightly low relative to both the Canada and FC Dallas squad. A 2-4 total CA, CR and/or HR uptick seems fair and more accurate in this case. If looking for certain attributes to raise his CA, a Positioning, Anticipation, and/or Vision uptick by 1 would make sense based on his play.

    Sebastien Ibeagha:

    • Severely underrated current ability and/or reputation: A more extreme case of an underrated current ability and reputation rating, Ibeagha has had at least four 20+ game seasons since joining MLS five years ago, one where even he started an MLS Cup final win with LAFC in 2022, with this year featuring in the squad of every single one of FC Dallas' 42 games, playing in 39 (33 starts) of them, and raking up the fourth-most minutes out of anyone in the team as a result. (Natural fitness upgrade?)
Yet, at 31, he has one of the lowest CAs on the team, one that has been unchanged for years, a CA value of 100 which is just below his teammate's Amet Korça's ability (102 CA) despite Korça lower on the CB depth chart and being a B-team player that has only featured in 5 FC Dallas first-team games this season. Ibeagha's low CA of 100 also makes him the worst rated 30+ year old CB in MLS when it comes to CA value, very unfair for a starting caliber player in the league. He also has many mental/hidden attributes in the 8s or 9s, and a Determination value of 11, which just doesn't line up at all for a team player who has managed to consistently break into the starting XI for all three of the MLS squads he's been a part of during his five-year period in the league.
A significant upgrade to Ibeagha's attributes that would result in a CA increase of 6 or more (same upgrade to his CR) would make complete sense, with most of those upgrades being towards his mental attributes.

    Sam Junqua:

    • Missing additional nationalities: French AND Japanese.
This something that I have brought up in past FM cycles, yet has not been updated at all for some reason unlike other second nationality changes I've brought up before, so I will provide multiple sources to prove that these nationalities are accurate:
(Source 1 - Brother's college soccer profile): Mentions having French and Japanese parents (both siblings share the same parents), mentions moving to Japan for two years, and mentions fluency in speaking both French and Japanese.
      (Source 2 - OSDB Article)image.png.ab44dc8febaabea31afdc67d4888ddc9.png
(Source 3 - Father's Facebook): Personal info crossed out
If this isn't enough I have more sources
    • Ethnicity: East Asian (refer to above point)
    • Missing languages: Fluent in only French and Japanese, assuming that he and his brother have the exact same language knowledge, which is probably the case.
    • Missing positions: Began gaining familiarity on the right side of the pitch in real life, e.g. started 3 leagues games in a row on the right flank in July and played for at least 70 minutes in each (source)
    • Missing attribute: Has right foot set to 0 but should have at least a "reasonable" rating (source - 2023 highlights)
    • Slightly underrated current ability: 23 apps (10 starts) this season for Dallas, in addition to 15 and 22 the years before for Houston. 95 CA is okay but a little harsh and as I mentioned before unchanged despite Junqua being in his prime, so somewhere around 98-102 CA is more accurate relative to other players of his position in the division.
    • Underrated current reputation: This is more subjective, but due to his low CA ability, even if upgraded, the AI in game doesn't seem to play him much at all (waives him in almost every save) and therefore a CR of about 106 would help fix this and result in Junqua receiving game time priority more closely to what he would get in real life.

    Bernard Kamungo:

    • Main nationality: Current USA U-23 international (source 1) (source 2) Tanzania would now be his second nationality.
    • Incorrect positional data: Isn't a natural AM at all, in fact has never started a game at AM professionally in his whole career. He's more of a natural RW. (source)
    • Preferred Moves/Player Traits: Looks like he likes to cut inside a lot, based on his highlights (source)
    • Severely underrated current and potential ability: The most egregious case here, and in perhaps the entire league, of a very, very underrated current and potential ability. Only 89 CA, and -6 PA, which does not match up at all to someone who has 6 goals in 16 MLS apps (around 500 total regular season minutes, including 2 assists in the playoffs), along with 2 goals + 3 assists in 4 Leagues Cup playoff matches this year (source) despite suffering an injury mid-season. This is in addition to his 16 goals and 5 assists in 24 MLS Next Pro appearances last year, which made him runner-up in that league's golden boot race. Keep in mind, the two people above and below him in the golden boot race received a 99 and 98 CA this year respectively, yet Kamungo kept just a 89 CA despite earning more senior first team goals than both of those players combined this year. Definitely needs upgrades across the board to his attributes, especially his consistency, which in my opinion could be 13 or higher as he averages about a goal every 90 in almost every competition he's played in the past 2 seasons. You could argue that Kamungo's current ability should be at least +10-15 higher than it is now, and due to his highly-documented talent, you could also argue his PA should have a value of at least -7 or perhaps even a fixed value of somewhere around 130 PA.

    José Mulato:

    • Incorrect positional data: Natural striker in real life, yet is set to a "competent" (12) ST rating in the database. His AML and AMR familiarity should be set to competent (≤14) and accomplished (15-16) or less respectively. (source)

    Nolan Norris:

    • Incorrect hair color: Has red hair in game, despite being an obviously natural blonde (source)
    • Missing positional data: Should be at least Accomplished (15 or higher) in both CB and DM, in fact he's played 6 games each in those positions compared to his natural LB position (source)

    Isaiah Parker:

    • Missing place of birth: Illinois, set as "Unknown" in DB currently (source)

    Tarik Scott:

    • Missing second nationality: Jamaica (source)

    Collin Smith:

    • Underrated current ability: I'll keep this brief as he's set to leave in real life, but 78 CA for a starting USL Championship RB is a tad low especially for a just-turned 20 year old. (source)

    Nkosi Tafari:

I just pasted the entirety of this post onto Google Docs and it turned out be 4 pages long, so hopefully these changes don't get ignored. :D:thup:

Not sure if this is the right place but I have started a save with the Columbus Crew in all 3 game modes and the schedule is always play all 28 other teams once then a random 6 twice for the 34 games. Should be every team in your conference twice and 6 or 8 from the opposite conference to complete the 34 games.

I don't know if this is the right place either, but this problem has persisted (for all MLS, obviously) since at least last year's iteration and I've reported it previously too. Honestly, its a real bummer.

Thanks for the FCC stuff, though it's not all accurate upon review. Ordonez plays primarily at CF at club level, and AMC as secondary.  Reviewing his positioning (on WyScout) for his MNT, he has still primarily been at CF, with secondary roles out wide. So I'm okay with that.

The rest of the stuff checks out, thank you.

Tom Marshall [2000214311] should have English nationality - given he was born and raised in Rochdale.  I'm unclear / unsure if he should also have Canadian as well but he should certainly have English added
