  1. I don't know if this is the right place either, but this problem has persisted (for all MLS, obviously) since at least last year's iteration and I've reported it previously too. Honestly, its a real bummer.
  2. A) On Game Pass, not Epic B) the issue (editor errors out when its loading the database) persists. The game seems to be playing just fine. ETA: just realized the error message was much different than OP, but yeah, it doesn't work for me, hasn't since release.
  3. No dice for me, unfortunately, but the difference for me is that it never worked to begin with, so I might have a different issue.
  4. Yeah I just tried loading it. Still broken
  5. Oh, you're not wrong, generally speaking. The only reason I don't love it is that MLS Playoff seeding is totally based on ranking within the conference (rather than the whole league), so those conference matches have a lot to say about your cup chances at the end of a season.
  6. I opened your file but I think you're using a different database than 23.4? I got some errors that were not this error, but I do have a little bit of insight just the same after poking around your file. Full disclaimer: I am very new to the editor. Do not assume I know what I am talking about. If it seems wrong, it very well may be. That said: I had a similar issue working on a similar project, and the problem for me (and it looks like for you) was in the match plan. In seasons where the number of teams in the league is odd, the plan of playing two rounds within the division and then X number of cross-conference matches won't work because some teams in the smaller conference (West) will have more than others, and they'll all have less than teams in the east. If you're not too hung up on the realism, you could go the route that SI took, and have every team play every other team in the league once, and then add enough additional division games to get the schedule to 34 (or whatever you're making the total).
  7. We did. They basically said it was too big to fix this year, which, well you can draw your own conclusions about that. They've also declined to promise that it will be fixed for FM 24, which did not inspire a ton of confidence in me. I mean, on one hand I get it. I know CONCACAF isn't what sells copies of this game, but it is kind of a bummer when you pull back the cover on the World's Most Immersive Football Game and find stuff like that. I mean, the MLS schedule doesn't even generate correctly after 2022. You get one accurate season. That said, I suspect Messi's arrival in that league will bring some attention to it from the devs. Or at least I hope so.
  8. So, yes, sort of, but the issue that the top solution here creates is that it leaves teams in group 1 with an uneven number of games played because the (15*6=)90 fixtures between group 0 and group 1 don't divide evenly by 14. Some group 1 teams will have six games with group zero, but a few (6) will have to play 7 games with group 0. So in other words, some group 1 teams would need 1 more game to get to 34, and others will need 2. I don't know if I'm writing that in a way that makes sense. A hidden stage does sound like a lot of work, but it also seems like it might be the best/only way forward. Thanks for your help!
  9. So, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere and I've missed it, but I searched and didn't find anything. Issue: The game creates the MLS schedule incorrectly after the 2022 season. The way that it is supposed to work: 29 teams in the league. Each team plays 34 matches 2 conferences: one with 15 teams, one with 14 teams Each team plays every team in its conference twice, The larger conference plays six games out of conference (these matchups rotate year over year, but I'd be fine if they were random) The smaller conference plays 6 or 7 out of conference games, and 1 or 2 additional in-conference games. Yes, you're right, that is a mess lol. The way that it is set up in the database (current and past): Every team plays every team in their conference once. Every team plays every team in the other conference once. Every team plays 6 more games from random opponents in their own conference. After playing with it in the editor some, it doesn't look like any fix will be easy, and the fact that it is wrong in the vanilla database makes me think that it can't be fixed in the editor, but I thought I would ask anyway: Does anyone know how I might be able to correct this in the editor? I looked at the custom match plan (the thing that looks like a matrix), but there doesn't appear to be any way to allow for different teams to be chosen from the opposite conference every year. (Also, that thing looks daunting lol). I know I could add or subtract a team to make the conferences even and the problem would go away, but that's kind of a last resort for me. Thanks in advance!
  10. Messi might be just what we needed to get CONCACAF a little bit of love haha!
  11. Brilliant, thank you! So, funny story, I actually had the Stage 1 waiting rule set up properly for the longest time. I don't even remember why I undid it. But yes, fixing those two things has solved the problem. Thank you so much for your help!
  12. Thank you for the update Kyle. That is a real bummer to hear, but I for one appreciate you guys being upfront about it, at least. Hopefully next year, yeah? For everyone else looking, I've found that the continental file for the Canadian Megapatch in the editors hideaway does in fact implement the proper CCL format. Leagues Cup isn't accurate, but it does involve all of the teams that it is supposed to, and it does feed to the CCL as intended. I'm working on fixing that issue in the editor, but it turns out I'm not very good at the editor, so it isn't done yet lol. Just thought I'd pass that along here.
  13. Hey all, very amateur editor here. I've pounded away at this issue for a while, but I'm finally admitting that I don't know enough to solve the problem and reaching out. Here's the situation. I started with the Canadian Megapatch continental file (located elsewhere on these forums), which I was/am elated to find because it fixes the CONCACAF Champions League to the proper format (which is definitely out of scope for me as a beginning editor). The only thing that I didn't love about it was that the CONCACAF Leagues Cup format was still incorrect. I thought I could figure out enough about the editor to make it a little bit closer to reality. I was wrong lol. So, starting in 2023 (important to note this date if you're actually looking through the file I attached; 2022 Leagues Cup is a completely different format and it always finishes properly) it's a 47 team tournament, all of MLS and all of Liga MX participate. The first stage is a 45 team/15 group group stage, where the top two from every group advance the next stage. The next stage is a knockout round of 32 teams (the 30 qualifying teams from the previous stage, plus the most recent MLS and Liga MX champs get a bye to this stage). The group stage seems to be setting up correctly (though it is taking a long time to play all the games for some of the groups for some reason, I don't think that's part of the problem, but idk). The top two from every group are being marked as qualified, but I can't get those teams to actually appear in the knockout round, despite the rules seemingly being set to do so. Depending on what I tweak, sometimes the file verification fails, saying that it can only find 2 (the bye teams) of the 32 teams for the stage. Other times the file verifies, but even when it does, in competition testing I just end up with an empty bracket in the knockout stage except for the two league champs that got a bye to this stage, and the competition never finishes (which, side note, how does that even verify? I thought that was the point). When I examine the events readout after testing the competition in the editor, it appears that the top two in any given group are indeed being marked as qualified, but later the same day, all three teams in that group are being "eliminated" with ranks 0,1 and 2 in the group, despite fates being set for the top two (or at least, I think I'm setting them properly). So, I'm stumped. If anyone can take a quick peek at this description and/or the file and let me know what I might be missing, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Troll Continental Update 1.fmf
  14. No word in two months. Pretty disappointing. I understand that the priority has to be Europe, but this doesn't seem that hard to fix.
