luap80
Please why are there too many tackles in the game, because it is killing the game right now
Miravlix
It's a game and thats the main way it emulate real world turnover statistics. As I understand it, the game engine lacks some of the real world ball capture ways and to make up for it, the number of tackles has been increased. cleaner475
FM always has move sliding tackles than real life because it doesn't yet support the others way of getting the ball; shoulder-barges, for example, aren't in the game . Overall the amount of tackles should be about right it's simply the visual representation that is wrong Hope that explains it.

I think it's sad that they've brought in new animations like when a player gets fouled and appeals to the ref with his hands up but they can't bring in shoulder barges and so on. luap80
well I still think they should be reduced in around the penalty area
RTHerringbone
well I still think they should be reduced in around the penalty area The option is you get an animated lunging tackle, which essentially represents a standard tackle, or your defender just lets the striker run freely into the box. What would you prefer?

Maybe option 3? A more realistic view of tackling in the 3d ME? Countless times realism is given as an excuse for something in the game when people complain, so cant expect people not to expect more realism in this department considering SI promoting the massive changes to the animations. Lung tackles in real life will often result in a yellow or red card
