The 3 parts of youth setup, and what they do?

Recommended Posts

So there appear to be 3 parts to your team's youth setup:

Junior Coaching

Recruitment Network

Youth Training facilities (and coaches)

My assuming is Junior Coaching determines what CA your youth intake players come in at, Recruitment Network is the probability you'll get better youths (by recruiting over a wider area), and Youth Training is solely about training up your youth squad (post intake).

I am correct on these or am I making incorrect assumptions?

From what I'm read you are absolutely correct.

Junior Coaching = CA levels of your youth intake players coming in.

Recruitment Network = PA levels of your youth intake players.

Facilities = General training ability the squad

I believe the quality of your Head of Youth Development plays a key role in the CA and PA of your youth intake.

I think you're pretty much spot on about the recruitment network... However, I don't think junior coaching will increase the CA (that'll be up to the recruitment) of youths coming into your side and instead just increase the overall quality of coaching you provide once recruited, thus they develop at a better rate, etc. This coupled with better Youth Training Facilities will ultimately lead to a higher standard of player coming through the ranks...

Don't take my word for it though, am probably wrong... Just the way in interpret things. Would be interesting to find out more...

And the formations he plays shapes the types of players you get positionally.

I'd be really curious if the Head of Youth Development really has that affect. If so I'm going out and getting the best one possible regardless of cost.
