Transfers and updates thread

Jorgen

Recommended Posts

There are quite a lot updates here that are focussing on transfers, promotions and relegations, etcetera. To provide all of these updates with up to date information would mean that we have to post our transfernews in 5 or more threads. Isn't it more convenient to put all those information about the changes in the world of football, just in one thread? Then Forbsie, Chris, Cromscott, Okkas, One hell of a keeper, MorrisseyMuse, etcetera, won't have to compare all their threads to see if someone has forgotten to post a transfer in one thread, but did it in another. It would also mean that there will be a lesser amount of complete duplicate posts, which makes the forums faster, and the information easier to handle.

If the transferupdates makers and the mods / admins agree, I would suggest to put all those usefull info in this topic. If not, feel free to delete this topic.

Usually, most update makers ignore the s-league but I will still post it here non the less.

www.kallangroar.com : Requires sign up but a great source of information, including transfers and fun chit chat, although primarily focused on Singaporean football, there are sub-forums that focus on the region as well.

Genarro Gattuso will retire from international football after the WC

Ingolfur Sigardsson to SC Heerenveen

Internazionale in big trouble? It seems that Inter's Diego Milito and Thiago Motta both have played for Inter on contracts that shouldn't have been signed as their transfers from Genoa to Inter are not approved by law (Chairman Preziosi was not allowed to sell them). Chairman Preziosi of Genoa and Moratti of Inter should go to the international sportstribunal in Rome. If the contracts prove to be wrong, there is a small possibility that Inter can be sentenced to give back all prices that they've won last season and be relegated to the Serie B.

The following promotion information is probably more interesting for updaters of the Dutch leagues, because it is a list of amateurteams that are promoted to the newly formed Topklasse in The Netherlands (which would be the 3rd level in the Dutch leaguesystem).

From the Zaterdagamateurs are promoted to the Topklasse: Capelle, Barendrecht, IJsselmeervogels, Excelsior '31, Sparta Nijkerk, Harkemase Boys, Spakenburg, Flevo Boys, Rijnsburgse Boys, CSV Apeldoorn, Hoek, FC Lisse, HHC Hardenberg, sc Genemuiden and Katwijk.

From the Zondagamateurs are promoted to the Topklasse: Dijkse Boys, VVSB, Hollandia, Achilles '29, AFC, Argon, Baronie, Gemert, EVV, Haaglandia, FC Hilversum, JVC Cuijk, Lienden, Quick 20 and De Treffers.

The winner of Be Quick 1887 vs. WKE will play against ARC to decide which team will be awarded the last promotionticket to complete the Topklasse.

Sepp De Roover from FC Groningen to SC Lokeren

Kennedy Bakircioglu from Ajax to Kayserispor. (Yes that Kennedy :))

Shota Arveladze new manager at Kayserispor.

I found this list of Danish transfers on the Susie forums, posted by Koffer, in Chris' Fm Update 2010/11 Thread.

As there are multiple updaters here, I think they would all want to benefit from that info.

Information from reliable sources:

John Metgod new manager at Team VVCS -> (Team VVCS is a football team for footballplayers without a club. I believe something like that is allready in FM.)

Jacques Storm assistent manager at Team VVCS

Holland's biggest talents right now:

Viergever (ex Sparta Rotterdam, now at AZ)

Falkenburg (ex Sparta Rotterdam, now at AZ)

Strootman (ex Sparta Rotterdam, now at FC Twente)

Kieftenbelt (ex Go Ahead Eagles, now at FC Groningen)

All the following information comes from a source I do not use normally, so I am not sure how reliable the news below is...:

Oliver Neuville, does not retire from football, he will play for Arminia Bielefeld next season

Kevin Phillips renews contract at Birmingham City with 1 season

Hans Vonk renews contract at Ajax Cape Town with 1 season

Raymond Fafiani renews contract at Telstar with 2 seasons

Steven Mouyokolo from Hull City to Wolverhampton Wanderers

Jelle Van Damme from Anderlecht to Wolverhampton Wanderers

Steven Fletcher from Burnley to Wolverhampton Wanderers

Tomas Kalas from Sigma Olomouc to Chelsea (he will be loaned out to Sigma Olomouc for the 1st year)

This website has a huge database of football's biggest (?) talents.

Again, I am not sure how reliable this is. Football Talents

If not stated otherwise, all information in other posts is as reliable as possible!

Sparta Rotterdam and FC Nantes: both good youth setup.

ADO Den Haag: stadium name change: Kyocera Stadion

Is it possible to give a derby a new name (like the Old Firm)?

If so: Sparta vs Feyenoord (and vice versa) is called "Het Kampioenschap van Rotterdam" (translation: Championship of Rotterdam)

And Feyenoord - Ajax (and vice versa) is called "De Klassieker" (translation: The Classic)
