  1. Currently the best player at the club is (51c) Mackie (F.Pro) (IRL) *. This is the bloke who @TIR669commented on when he noticed that he had only scored 3 goals by January last season. While a little concerning, I wasn't hugely bothered at the time and he did come good in the 2nd half of the season, ending up with 19 goals in 32(21) appearances. Even without pens though, he should be hitting 25-30 so we will have to see what we can do about that. I suppose when you score almost 100 goals in the league, whatever the "problem", it's not a significant one. [Edit] I suppose our best player only being a "star" Premiership player makes sense. We haven't got any Wordclass players yet.
  2. Squad Stats. May 2056. Squad by Appearances. Squad by Goals. Squad by Assists. Squad by Avg rating. Squad by CA. Squad by PA. Squad by National Team. Squad by Int Appearances. Squad by U21 Int Appearances.
  3. GK Depth. May 2056. When I looked at the GK PA ratings when I was doing the Goal-scoring GK's section in the last update, I noticed quite how much of a bigger PA (55e) McLean (Pro) 5'10" * had than the other GK's. This ties in quite nicely with the recent conversation I've had with @Thebaker (43n) Welsh (F.Pro) 6'4" * has been a really GK for us, and although he's been an unused sub for Scotland on 8 occasions, he hasn't been capped. The Coach Report says that (43n) Welsh (F.Pro) 6'4" * is a Leading Premiership player as he is. That begs the question that if 3.0 CA is Leading Premiership player, what the hell is 4.5 PA? Now (55e) McLean (Pro) 5'10" * doesn't look great, but then again he's only 16 so that's to be expected. I think it's likely that his PA isn't amazing, but at the same time I can't afford to take the chance that it isn't, and miss out on developing an amazing player. I'm going to try and loan him out for 1st Team experience as soon as possible. I need to try and kickstart his development.
  4. May 2056. Scottish Premiership. We dropped 10 points over the last 7 games played over the last 2 months of the season, and when we lost to Airdrie I didn't even look at the league table afterwards. I just assumed we had blown the title. Somehow, Hibs managed to drop the same 10 points over the same period, (including a last day 0-0 at home to Airdrie, who had beaten us 1-0 the week before). Celtic are slightly different in that although they lost 10 points in 8 games over the last 2 months, they could be slightly forgiven because they have also had to contend with getting to the Scottish Cup Final, (against us), but also the Europa Conference League Final, (against Liverpool). I think we can cut them just a little slack because they did better than both ourselves and Hibs over the last 7 games, and that's with 7 extra Cup games being played during the last 2 months of the season. The biggest thing for them though was that they just drew too many games. They only lost 3 times in the league all season, (compared to us losing 10 and Hibs 6), but they won 5 fewer games which is obviously a whopping 10 points difference between 5x wins and 5x draws. They had the best defence in the league, (conceded 3 goals fewer than us), but we scored 25 goals more than them. Airdrie have secured the 1st European campaign in their clubs history. I have a feeling that it's 7 places from next season, (but not positive about that). I would really like to retain the league title for the 1st time next season, and also score 100+ goals. Scottish Cup. (The Big one). Quite pleased with this actually. Hall of Fame. It's not a tough list to top. Transfers. Internationals. Goal-scoring GK's. 5. If I'm being completely honest, I think I prefer the earlier stages to this now where money is no problem.
  6. It's taken a looooooooong time to get here. It certainly wasn't like this for most if the save. It's sort of nearing the time when I will have to start breaking my own wage restrictions though. The most I have paid a player so far is £10k per week, but I can see us exceeding that soon.
  7. I'm using Wannachup-FM24-InstantResult but the added bits showing available personality and media handling info is a file that was created by someone else, (apologies but I've forgotten who, but it is mentioned in the thread). It was passed onto me by @_Ben_and I'm loving it, (so thanks again). Here is the link for the Personality/MediaHandling but that works alongside the Wannachup-FM24-InstantResult skin. Hope it helps. https://community.sigames.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=893257&key=bd959a4debc18919248f9de057c7a681
  8. Apr 2056. Scottish Premiership. It was an absolute pig of a month in the league, with us dropping points in 3 of our 4 games. As luck would have it, we drew with both Celtic & Hibs, and they also lost another game each, so we only trail Hibs by 2 points after such a horrible month. Scottish Cup. (The Big one). It was a narrow win, but we're into another Final. Goal-scoring GK's. (23) Brass (Bal) 6'2" is 5/8 from the spot at 63%. (Is no longer at the club). 9. That's not something that I've noticed, "initial high CA suggesting high PA to the AI", but it is possible. I just think the initial PA rating are poor across the board.
  10. Mar 2056. Scottish Premiership. After 9 wins in a row in the league, we lose to Kilmarnock in a game we should have won. If we win our game in hand we go level with Hibs on points, but will be ahead of them by virtue of our goal difference. Scottish Cup. (The Big One). We keep marching on and we're into the Semi-Finals where we will play Aberdeen. The other Semi-Final sees Hibs play Celtic, so the top 4 in the league make the Semi's of the Cup. Contract. Internationals. Goal-scoring GK's. (23) Brass (Bal) 6'2" is 5/8 from the spot at 63%. (Is no longer at the club). (23) Ewing (Bal) 6'1" is 17/20 from the spot at 85%. (Is no longer at the club). 11. NxGn 2056. Not only do we have #1 on the list, but we also have 2 more players on the list, the 2nd, (ranked at #4), who is only 18 so has another year of being eligible on the list. Squad by PA. We've got 19 players who with better than 3.0 PA and while 11 of them are teenagers now, 9 of them will still be teenagers this time next season, (so will be eligible for the NxGn list).
  12. I don't think that a day 1 PA rating can be impacted by the same players CA, although do agree that personality plays a part, (simply because it affects how the staff think the player will develop). Yeah you could be right (generally), about attribute balance just being better for some players than others, but in the 2 cases given, that certainly wasn't the case for the GK and is also unlikely to have been the main reason for the difference in a "p" 16th ranked player. (43n) Welsh (F.Pro) 6'4" * for example is the 16th ranked player by PA at the club, (aged 29), despite only being the 14th ranked player by PA in his intake. That's a hell of a difference. We've also had quite a few good GK's come through the ranks, so it could be that his low initial PA rating was caused by at least 1 very good, (rated by CA), GK being at the club, and then as the good CA GK leaves, the PA of the younger GK rises. (46p) Weir (Driven) 6'1" * is different in that centre-half has long been a problem for us, so it doesn't really matter how good he is or isn't. If he's anyway reasonable then he's going to be getting games.
  13. It certainly doesn't look good, but at the same time I'm not sure how significant this is in how good the players might become anyway. Don't get me wrong, the CA values are easy to spot so we certainly haven't got much CA, but where PA is concerned I think the jury is still out and will continue to be out for a few months yet. In case you hadn't noticed, I haven't been going into much detail on Youth Intake day because I don't think there is a lot to see. I think the initial ratings can be pretty misleading and there are a few examples of this. (43n) Welsh (F.Pro) 6'4" * came through the intake 14th ranked by PA. He's made 316 league appearances, most of them for us, scoring 73 career goals. (46p) Weir (Driven) 6'1" * obviously came through bottom of the PA rankings within his intake, but he has made 127 career league appearances, most of them for us. There are other examples, but perhaps not as appropriate as these 2. Fingers crossed some of the recent intake fall into the same category. In any case (56a) McCluskey (Pro) * is ranked 17th of all players at the club by PA, (despite only being 3.5 PA), but the fact that we now only have 4x 5.0 PA players at the club is an indication of how much the best players at the club have improved and obviously the CA that this recent intake have been judged against has also improved.
  14. Youth Intake day. Mar 2056. It doesn't look great. 2 centre-backs is great, but 1 at 5'8" and the other at 5'9" is not exactly what I was hoping for. Ah well.
  15. Feb 2056. Scottish Premiership. 3 wins to make it 7 wins on the bounce in the league move us 3 points clear of Hibs. UEFA Champions League. Arsenal were too strong for our 2nd Team and that's Europe over for another season. Scottish Cup. (The Big one). Now we're getting to the business end of the competition. Transfers. Goal-scoring GK's. (23) Brass (Bal) 6'2" is 5/8 from the spot at 63%. (Is no longer at the club). (23) Ewing (Bal) 6'1" is 17/20 from the spot at 85%. (Is no longer at the club). (25c) Christie (F.Sport) 6'1" is 46/52 from the spot at 88%. (Is no longer at the club). (26p) Marsh (CAN)(SCO) 5'10" is 15/17 from the spot at 88%. (Is no longer at the club). (33a) Black (Fickle) 6'0" * is 2/3 from the spot at 67%. (Is no longer at the club). (37b) Niven (F.Loyal) 6'4" * is 24/41 from the spot at 59%. (Is no longer at the club).
