lambo
Been playing the demo of FM2009 over the weekend but I've found it a bit slow on my laptop. Would FM2008 be faster..??? I've got my FM2007 and that runs fine. thanks
AbsoluteGenius
The 08 version is definitely faster if you have a slow computer. I had a stone-age laptop last year and the speed was fine.
CaptainPlanet
Did you patch the demo? There are a few things on your system you can do to make sure it's in tip-top shape and you shouldn't have any problems running it at a reasonable pace providing you have at least the minimum system specs. lambo
no I didn't patch the demo....will be faster after then,????? also what can I do to my laptop to make it run FM09 quicker...??? thanks for any help
jakobx
If the FM09 demo is slow then forget about playing the full game. Demo versions use very few leagues and a smaller database than what you would normally usually use in a full game. Even though FM08 is embarrassingly slow its still much much faster than FM09. lambo
I wouldn't say its really slow....I would like the demo better if it was quicker.

Wayne\'o
it's taken me 10 days to play 4 and half season's , thats around 2 days solid to complete a season..
LAHoward
if you're just breaking the min specs you will find 09 to be a huge slow down. not only in simulation but in-game play also. ongoing tactic tweaks are imperative in 09 (unless you dl one of the few super tactics floating around) so that adds a considerable amount of time to the tally. in the past i probably spent the most time in the roster screen, 09 in-game easily wins out as the most time consuming (for me). baker.simon
no I didn't patch the demo....will be faster after then,?????also what can I do to my laptop to make it run FM09 quicker...??? thanks for any help The demo will be faster when patched, the code is more optimised which makes it run a bit faster. Its the same for the full game. To get your laptop running FM faster here are some tips, Defragment your drive, Get rid of old unneeded files clogging up your computer, Turn your anti virus software off whilst playing the game. There are programs out there on the internet that will help you 'clean up' your computer.
