What's the difference between 2D and 2D classic ?

What's the difference?

Also I've been reading the match engine on 2D is better then 3D? I assumed the 3D players are just the 2D dots but 3D players in disguise?

2D is the 2D made for FM09, and 2D classic is the version that's been in FM07, FM08.

That's how I understand it anyway.

I know what you mean but I don't get how it seems different when it's just different by appearance.

^ LOL nothing on this game seems to work as they should. I think SI is having us on. I think it's just a random program that you wither win or lose no tactics involved. We are mugs that just sit there watching and analysing every feature.

Correct, 1 match engine and the 2D/3D views are just a visual representation of the engine.

The difference between 2D and 2D classic is.... classic is what we've been using for the last few versions. The new 2D has different looking dots and a pitch that looks similar to the 3D pitch. It's like an upgrade to the normal 2D classic, some may like it some may not.

All in all, no matter what 2D or 3D view you are using, they are just different graphical ways of showing you the same thing, i.e. a representation of the same match engine.

It is just a case fo finding the one you like to use and going with it

2d classic seems to be as it has been in previous years

2d seems to be 2d rendered using the 3d engine in some way, so you can switch to 3d quicker (but it actually looks worse)

Then this is why you only can select 2D classic when you have disabled the 3D view (which I did).

Seems like two different engines to me, maybe because the 3D engine highlights more errors
