garf
I have already searched the forum and found nothing about fm on the mac. I have a macbook on order, does fm run smoothly on the mac? it's 2.4GHz core 2 duo, 250gb hard drive 5400 rpm, 4gb ram. Does anyone have any idea of how many leagues it will run? I haven't touched fm for a good 6 months and am keen to get back into it.
weeeman27bob
I'm not sure how many it will run and what you call smoothly. My laptop is a mac and has about 1.93 ghz, 50gb hard drive and 1gb ram and can run all leagues in England,Spain France and Italy pretty smoothly
NepentheZ
it will run all leagues, quite fast on that spec.
Neji
I wouldn't go running all leagues, it will slow down quickly but you should be good with that spec.
Zwarte Dood
I am playing on an Imac with about the same specs and am running these leagues with max database ease: England (Championship) Italy (Serie B) Belgium (2nd div) Holland (2nd Div) Germany (2nd Div) Spain (2nd Div) Argentina (view only) Brazil (View only)
Schotsmannetje
FM works great on my macbook, except it sometimes just shuts down on me completely unexpected. Pain in the ass if you're 2-0 up in a Champions League final…
furney89
Yeah il admit it works fine, if not better than it does on my XP version on bootcamp its very nippy, i also have it running in full screen after fixing it because i was irritated by the black sides i have multiple leagues etc and it runs very very smooth, no crashing issues like the previous poster
Schotsmannetje
Yeah well it isn't that bad it only happens about once per in-game season so it's not a big issue. I autosave every week anyway.
Boggs
I use it on a mac just fine, until someone burgled my house and nicked it. Lost my best FM game ever, was livid!
Reggae Boyz
I have a Macbook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 200gb 7200 rpm. I can run all leagues and load all players, run other programs in the background and the performance is pretty good.
