homersimpson35
Just seen this: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=476625 . Sega Europe closing . No more AAA games from Sega. . Last AAA game announced by Sega at E3, developed by Creative Assembly. . Sega will focus on mobile and tablet games. If true this would suggest no more Football Manager?! EDIT: A bit more digging after found these tweets: https://twitter.com/Clumseh/status/209158875239292929 https://twitter.com/Clumseh/status/209158217576628225 So false alarm it seems. *sigh of relief*
tom_numbers
I seem to remember Miles saying before that as one of their best sellers, Sega have no intention of pulling the plug on FM. It's one of the games that turns them a profit IIRC.
Kriss
Sega announced last month that FM is one of their strongest titles and will remain in production along with other best sellers like Sonic while they'll ditch weaker products. No cause for concern here

gaga_4_parma
Sega have said; Sega Europe to announce its closing? On the eve of E3 2012, we are able to inform you, according to our credible sources, that Sega Europe will be finally closed in the coming months as well as all the local branches in Europe like Sega France. This is partly a consequence of the ineffectiveness of Sega's strategy over the past several years of developing games by western developers. At the same time, Sega will also announce, according to these sources, they will no longer develop AAA games on consoles, but will focus on digital games, notably for cell phones and tablets. Sega's last big title developed by Creative Assembly will be presented at E3 2012 in a few days. Furthermore, remember that Sega has announced they will not be at Gamescom 2012. . x42bn6
I doubt this is true. I don't see the benefit in considering these big decisions before E3. Why give reporters something to talk about other than your products?
Mr_Whippy
Why would they? It would be a ridiculous decision!
Rikulec
FM will never die.
CLS
Even if SEGA went, FM would find a new publisher and move on with very few difficulties, it turns a profit every year and has a very large and loyal fanbase making it a very attractive proposition to publishers. Cleon
Miles Jacobson@milessi Interweb rumours of SEGA Europe closing are false. Rumours of Dirk Kuyt signing for Fenerbache? Much more likely.

Cleon
The statement from March still stands, all the above in the opening post is wrong as it was written without any facts whatsoever.
Cleon
The site that started this story (CVG) have now deleted it and removed it after it's been proved to be false after Miles put them straight. So I'll close the thread now.
