No indication of pitch condition

Recommended Posts

I'm at Vauxhall in the Blue Square North, a lot of managers have been complaining about the state of my pitch, but there is no indication of pitch condition within information & facilities.

if you never owned the ground surely it still show you the condition of your pitch? It would just mean you have no way of upgrading it or even relaying it, the sate of your home pitch will determine the way you play football e.g. long ball, short ect!

I've had the same problem on a few saves; once the condition gets past the terrible stage it just stops displaying the condition.

Related mini rant: I think the degradation levels for the pitch are way too fast. Some saves the pitch goes from perfect to terrible after only several months worth of games. I can see it getting bad towards the end of the season but not in October or November and especially not when the reserve and youth teams are playing only road games.

Interesting, so it didn't have a long term impact on playability by any chance? If not, I think I'll just keep at it with this save with a view to getting a new stadium sooner rather than later.

Thanks!

Not that I noticed... It makes me wonder why I have to pay for maintenance though when it's nothing but mud after several months. What exactly are they maintaining other than the stripes? We should be able to transfer list the grounds crew... :)

I know this is an old Thread, but I just wanted to tell you guys. (for those who are going to read this)

This was a bug in Fm 2012

There were a couple of pitch conditions depending on the number of games played and weather conditions. (For example after a home-game during bad weather conditions your pitch is getting much worst than it was)

And so on and so on...Till one day when u have a terrible pitch. A couple of games after your pitch is already as ''Terrible'' described it disapears form the ''Facilities Screen''. Obviously there isnt a worst level than.

The other issue playing with a lower league team is, that those teams mostly don't posses ingame reserves and youth stadiums (lots of them do, but no one added those to the data-base). So your reserves and u18 play always on the very same ground as your first team. This counld be a nightmare because thats up to 5 games in a week on the same pitch, especially if your first team plays in Europe in the league, in both cups, your reserves and youth in their groups

No matter if develop your team and he enters the PL and win it, no matter if you have 100 mil. on your banroll, your pitch will still be terrible. You can overlay it at the begining of every season. But after 3 months being played on it form all your 3 team it will be again and again terrible and you can do nothing about it, cause there is no such event in the game, your Board to supplies you with an additional ground for your reserves and youth. The possibility to get under soil heating installed is also minor.

I hope that some day SI do something on that matter to allow managers to rent/buy/build football grounds for the reserves and youth. Its awful to see your conference team finaly playing in the PL, but on a ugly pitch because the game does not feature expansion of the number of grounds.

Sorry about my english! :)
