spkno
IMO, this is one of the strange things about FM. Often players change position during their time on the pitch. If this is done in advance of the game release, player is often set as "natural" in FM for that position, but getting a player to be natural afterwards (in game) is impossible. IMO a player that is trained a in a new position - and also plays in that position - should be a natural within reasonable time (one season - maybe two?). Thoughts? milnerpoint
Its not impossible, if you train a player at a new postition, he plays and plays well in that position, and he has a good enough adaptability rating then he will become natural in the position. Not adaptability, versatility. Adaptability is the ability to adapt to new countries and cultures, versatility is the ability to play in multiple football positions. ArranoBeltza
I have done it many times...
bleventozturk
I have done it many times... Yes but then you have to keep training him in that position (and keep wasting 10% of his training time for that) otherwise he forgets the position, which is completely unrealistic. milnerpoint
not true, if they keep playing the new position well they will not lose the natural rating.
johangod
I do agree that players are given far to many Natural positions after playing a couple of games there in IRL But you can make a player become a natural by playing him in a position quite constantly and also training him for it, but does it really matter if he's natural if he's ripping apart in the desired position ? phnompenhandy
I question the semantics here. If you have to train/learn to do something, you are not a 'natural' by definition.
milnerpoint
by that defination then no player can ever be natural in any position, we all have to learn the basics at some time
