Will there be an assistant ref behind the goal line during UCL and the europa lge in FM11 because this is implemented in the UCL and the europa lge in irl?

Im fairly sure that if they were included it would be purely cosmetic for the 3D Engine.

But your right they should appear in the relevant Euro games.

2 little further annimations would hardly bog the game down! Some people like to have as much realism on the 3D pitch as possible. The dug outs arn't needed but they are included.

But I agree that they arn't essential and I personally don't care too much for the minor animations so im happy either way.

Well, if they were included on the 3d screen then I'd also expect them to be implemented in the match engine. For that to happen, the extra goal line referees would most likely need to be added throughout all UEFA countries. That being said, there's nothing worse than showing some visual goodies but ignoring the feature in the technical background, ie the match engine.

Thankfully SI have their priorities straight and have never gone for graphics and glamour unlike many other game studios who do that in order to cover their (gameplay) shortcomings.
