Any Tips For A Beginner?

Recommended Posts

1) Get a tactic you like and stick to it.

2) Look at the training regimes out there, and pick a good one. Tug and SFraser have the generally accepted best.

3) Scout regions and youth competitions of major countries.

4) Get good scouts and coaches, they're worth their weight in gold if you use them properly.

5) For your first game pick Man City, Madrid or Barcelona and experiment. An easy game to allow you to figure out some of the mechanics.

6) Look at the good resources available to you, not just here but at other FM websites, e.g. FM-Britain home of the Tactical Theorem guides.

7) Lastly if you've any queries just ask, if you find a bug report.

.

Tbh an easy game is more like a subtopper: Sevilla, Genoa, ...

With these big teams you can't lose too much + you don't learn anything by winning every match.

Yeah but for a first quick game, at most one season, a big team is probably better to learn what to do. I don't think the OP has played an older version, so that's why I recommended it.

In addition to the above, hire a nice staff with a good assistant manager (with high motivation, adaptability and tactical knowlegde rates). Pay attention to training: create specialized programs for Goalkeepers, Def, Mid, and Atk, and deploy your coaches accordingly, aiming at increasing the training stars at the bottom right. Training is a largely neglected game item in this forum!
