Assistant manager criticises referee - my fault?

A quick query here. When your assistant takes a press conference and criticises a referee's decision, and you subsequently receive a message indicating the board is unhappy with you for it, is it an error with the text string (i.e., the board is actually unhappy with your assistant), or does the game engine actually recognise it as a blot on your own copybook?

Unfortunately, I think they're unhappy with you for it. You being responsible for your staff and all that.

You won't get banned if your assistant gets you banned so to speak. Don't know about the rest of them.

Not sure. I've had about 8 seasons of my ass man doing press conferences and I've never had a message about it, but he has quite high media rating so maybe that is a factor.

i agree that although it is his fault, the managter should also be responsible

I always thought that if you used the "send assistant" option then you were ultimately responsible for his actions.

Aww, I wish my Assistant Manager slagged off the referee for bad decisions...

It was initially thought of as a bug but I think that SI did confirm that, although the wording could be better, as Manager, you were fully responsible for comments made by the Asst, especially if you had asked him to do the job for you.
